Now the window has cut off 20% of the side of window and there is no way to bring it back into the window. If I mazimize the window size the scroll doesn't show.If I make the window smaller so that the horizontal scroll does show it won't scroll far enough to the left to show the missing section of the window.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy laptop (Toshiba) used to have a feature where if you clicked on the right side of mousepad, you could drag the page up and down, similar to the scroll wheel on mouses if you click them down.Anyways, a few months ago, I upgraded my computer to Windows Vista. And I hated it. So I used my restore disk, to get back to Windows XP. Well, when I went back, this feature wasn't working. Today I used an IBM computer, and it had this feature, and it reminded me of how often I used to use it.So my question is if there is any way to re-program this feature? My laptop also used to have a feature that if you held your finger on a corner of the mousedpad, it would open up a different menu, depending on how you configured it. That feature doesn't work either. I don't care if I get that feature back, I'm just assuming the two issues are linked.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI started loading my games onto it. Insert the CD, and Winamp would hiccup. Then, when it actually starts installing whatever game I try, Winamp plays at half speed, pops and hiccups, and becomes unlistenable. Firefox takes between 10 and 30 seconds to load an instance, and typing is slow, and shows up on screen in bursts. Furthermore, even my System sounds (right clicking, for example) become slow and broken.

1. When I'm opening any doc file (Word 2007) or PPT file, the file appears with the maximum zoom (400%), without the ability to change back the zoom to 100%.Also, I can't scroll the file up or down !
2. The resolution of the projector's screen and the laptop's screen is changing (Once I'm click on "Fun F8"), so I can see it all as a 200% Zoom.Refer to the expert's diagnostic:
Once I'm replacing my HardDisk by another one, the phenomenon is disappear, which mean, we have to format the HD & re-install the XP.
I tried to set the "scroll programs" But it will not do it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy mouse and keyboard has both started to behave strange.
1.The mouse scroll wheel works sometimes when surfing on internet , but most of the time it does not. It works fine when typing in Word.
2.The mouse pointer jumps around randomly.
3.The left mouse button sometimes behaves as if it is the right button.
4.Sometimes the computer seems to freeze and will not respond to mouse commands. This can be “reset” by ctrl+alt+delete, and choosing “switch to” the program I was working in. This can happen even when only one program is running.
5.Sometimes the mouse seems to left-click and drag by itself.
6.The keyboard sometimes misses letters that I press
Turned the computer on today and Windows will not load, gets as far as the black Windows XP page with the loading scroll bar. Nothing happens beyond that. Everything was working fine yesterday and nothing was downloaded or installed to indicate where to start looking. Tried installing 1GB RAM last month to no avail and took it out. Things have been okay since. Have read some posts that suggest using the Windows install CD to repair whatever but I didn't get one with the computer only have the Windows recovery disk.

If your list of software in "All Programs" starts going off the screen you can return to the old style of having them scroll, this also makes them all expand to the right and not on top of each other, which makes selection easier.Goto start - control panel - taskbar and start menu - start menu - customise advanced - and then scroll down start menu items list, near bottom is the choice to "scroll programs", tick it and apply , ok all screens and your done.

View 14 Replies View RelatedOne of the most common XP topic concerns shut-down or power-down issues. The solution can be as simple as going into Power Options in Control Panel and changing the "When I Press The Power Button" setting to: "shut down" or so complex that it simply can't be identified. Sometimes it's a third party product causing a reboot at Shutdown (ie, Roxio CD 5.0 - and there is a fix). Unquestionably, one of the best sites for coverage of this topic is at AUMHA.ORG. I have taken the liberty of pasting the comprehensive information they provide below. Please take the time to locate your specific problem and read their suggested fix. If you still have questions, then by all means post them in the General Questions Forum.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to scroll up or down a page using either the scroll arrows or the mouse roller button, the scroll appears as a "ripple" moving up or down the screen. It slows down the scrolling process intolerably. A similar effect occurs when I scroll right or left. I have sought for solutions using Desktop Properties/Display/Appearance, Folder Options, Control Panel/System, and anything else I can think of, but I cannot get rid of this annoying "ripple".
