I can't enable virtual scrolling on my laptop Touchpad. The options are not "grayed" out in the control panel device settings, but when I try to click on the boxes, no check appears. The "Apply" button becomes active, too. I need to disable before virtual scrolling can be enabled

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an Acer 2312 laptop running WXP. The cursor can not be moved by the touchpad. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the touchpad and its drivers several times wih no success. Device manager tells me everything is just fine. The cursor responds normally to my wireless mouse so I can live without the touchpad but I don't feel comfortable when something malfunctions; particularly when I don't know what caused the glitch.I have searched the sites of Acer and Symantic and found no useful information.If anyone has a clue on what the solution Is I wouldmuch appreciate hearing from you. stewart

Nothing will open and all exe.and lnk. files are missing from Folder Options. When I try to create new exe. files and new lnk files, the "apply" button is not highlighted so it will not save. I can make other changes and the button is there but it still won't save the exe changes
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am running Virtual PC 2007 on a Vista Platform. Everything is good with the exception of setting up shared folders. I have three guest PCs running. I have installed Virtual Machine Additions on all three. I am able to set up and access a shared folder on the host system on one of the three with no problem but the other two refuse to access any shared folder. When I configure the shared folder, it shows up in the guest PC under MyComputer, but it shows as "disconnected" and is inaccessible.

I downloaded it as a .tar.gz and then I extracted it to a folder containing folders with different sized icon, a file called ".dolphinview" and an "index.theme" file. I tried simply opening the index.theme file from "themes" in display properties but it cannot read it. When I open it in OOO and compare it to a theme it looks very different, a theme starts with [Theme] whereas this begins with [Icon Theme]. I think I am supposed to attach the index.theme file to my theme

I have the events setup as the subfolders names. I do not like to use Folder Task to set my view settings, and instead of changing the view settings one by one in each of the subfolder, is there a fast way so that I can apply the same folder settings to all my subfolders in "My Pictures/Digital Camera" without changing other folder's view settings?

I need the touchpad on its fastest setting because of the wide screen and the fact that I don't always have my wireless mouse w/ me. is having a Logitech wireless mouse installed. In Control Panel, under Mouse, Hardware, only one device (the USB mouse I'm using) shows up. I'm not sure what the standard touchpad driver for HP notebooks is. View 7 Replies View RelatedMy laptop (Toshiba) used to have a feature where if you clicked on the right side of mousepad, you could drag the page up and down, similar to the scroll wheel on mouses if you click them down.Anyways, a few months ago, I upgraded my computer to Windows Vista. And I hated it. So I used my restore disk, to get back to Windows XP. Well, when I went back, this feature wasn't working. Today I used an IBM computer, and it had this feature, and it reminded me of how often I used to use it.So my question is if there is any way to re-program this feature? My laptop also used to have a feature that if you held your finger on a corner of the mousedpad, it would open up a different menu, depending on how you configured it. That feature doesn't work either. I don't care if I get that feature back, I'm just assuming the two issues are linked.
