View 15 RepliesI'm running Win XP sp2 Home Edition on a Dell 8250 with 2.8 GigaHerz HD and 1024 Gig RAM. When I say " Go here and highlight here the hyperlink button lights up but when I click on it it won't open to let me paste the URL in! No one at Incredimail seems to know how to fix this problem. I reported it a year ago and finally gave up...but the other day when composing an email I tried it again and it worked. But that was just one time and now it won't work again. I can't recreate the situation because I don't know what I did other than highlight the here and click on the hyperlink button. I appreciate any expert help and advice on this.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy e-mail programme is a fully registered version of Incredimail. I recently installed the MacAfee 8.0.0 anti virus programme. Immediately thereafter I was unable to send any e-mails, although recieving any, presents no problem. Disabling MacAfee enables me to send as normal but leaves the computer unprotected whilst doing so. I have no problems sending mail via Yahoo, Netscape, Outlook Express, Opera or any other webmail I would imagine.Does this indicate that MacAfee is finding the Incredimail outgoing e-mail to be suspect and therefore blocking it? If this be the case I would be most grateful if anyone could proffer any comment and even more grateful should a solution be forthcoming
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have used Incredimail since 2002 (free version though I did buy the letter creator) without many problems other than slowing everything down. Suddenly 4 months ago it started to shut down when ever I tried to send a powerpoint or word document, which meant I had to use Outlook express to send any serious mail Error messages vary from the usual 'Incredimail has encountered an error... etc' to 'The memory cannot be read at 000011234 etc.'

I have a computer that I formatted the hard drive on. Then installed Windows XP Pro. When it boots up, it goes to a black screen and has Windows XP Pro and Windows XP listed with the Win XP Pro selected and boots to it in 15 seconds or so if nothing is selected. I have read somewhere about this before and have NO clue where I read it, but does anyone know how to get rid of the option (Win XP) that really doesn't even exist on the hard drive?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have ended up with 4 different options for XP Pro when my computer starts. This is, basically, as a result of me re-installing Widows a couple of times to try and solve a very slow running system (more help needed there but I will start a new thread for that). How do I remove the 3 unwanted start options?

Please select the Operating System to start:
Microsoft Xp Home Edition
Restore Microsoft Home Edition

Recently, I had to use the command "bootcfg /rebuild", which fixed a booting problem I was experiencing. However, now it asks what OS I'd like to boot from every time. The problem: It shows "Microsoft XP Home Edition" Twice. Is there any way to fix this and to just allow XP to boot automatically every time without prompt?

View 4 Replies View RelatedJust got a new 'old' machine at work. XP os. Folder Options, either from Control Panel or via explore/tools, is not available. Can some overly cautious IT dude turn in off or hide it? Can I get it back? (without having admin priviliges?)
View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery time I turn my computer on, it goes to the blue welcome screen, but does not show any log in options. Usually my name comes up and I can click on it to log on, but only the blue screen with the windows logo appears. It's not frozen because the mouse still responds, but I can't click on anything and the keys don't appear to have any effect.

I thought about an OS re-install but can't find my disk, all I can find is the disk for my fiancee's Laptop. Hers was XP pro and mine was Xp home so I didn't think it would work, and besides I can't find any product codes or serial numbers for either. Am I going to have to format and buy a new OS or what?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI need some helpadvice about installing 2 operating systems on 2 different hard drivers.
I have Windows XP x64 bit on one of the HDD, and I have bought a new HDD,I would like to install the same operating system on the new HDD,how do I do it? Just plug-in the new HDD and install a new OS on it?Or do I need to detach one and then install the os on the new one?
I can't find in the internet information about installing the same OS on different HDD only about different OS.
How do I get rid of extra boot options?
View 7 Replies View RelatedRight now when I boot my screen I have like 4 different options for what OS I want. There Windows XP (which I usually click), a Skeleton Boot (some boot screen program I was screwing with), another Windows XP (haven't used it, maybe a previous installation?), and some other windows option that my computer first came with.
Anyways, I know that I only use the first one so is there a way to eliminate the other 3 from the menu? Ideally I would like to not even see the menu when I boot the computer, I'd like it to just go through to windows. I thought I remembered seeing a control panel or some settings for that area somewhere but I can't remember where.
I am using windows XP for last 2-3 years. My folder option has disappeared from the menu "View" and does not show any result when I double click folder options in the control panel.I thought I have virus in my PC but i have cleaned it with the help of antivirus and your forum.

Didn't work. Here is the error message I get when trying to open Internet Options from within Internet Explorer 8 (I usually use Firefox BTW, the latest, and this update was two days ago.
