I used to send photos directly from "My Photos" folder using Outlook Express,
and after I selected the photos, I was asked if I wanted to resize them, and
then after I e-mailed them, the photos always appeared in the e-mail once it
was opened (not as an attachment). Now I use Outlook, and when I try to send
the photos from "My Photos" folder, they are sent as attachments, and they
are not viewable in the actual e-mail. I have searched for a setting to
change this, but I can't find any. Does anyone know how I can send multiple
photos in an e-mail using Outlook, so that they can be viewed as soom as the
e-mail is opened, rather than having to download and open each individual
photo as an attachment?
My nephew was wanting me to e-mail him a picture of a sunset I took recently. He has a good photo printer and wanted me to send him the proof photo which is an 33mb 8x10 file. I told him that for me to e-mail him an 8x10 of this photo wasn't possible because the file was too large (33mb).Is there a way to compress a file of this size and e-amil it to him?
How can we post an attachment "inside" the message in this site when we post either a new post or a reply... versus just having the attachment as a separate item at the bottom of the message that the viewer has to click on to see it? I'm just dying to be able to do that. I have seen huge attachment such as "Print Screen" right along with the written message.
On my XP Pro box, I need to be able to give individual folders and it's sub folders a single view type. So if my folders looked something like: C: | |-Folder 1 | | | | - Folder a | | - Folder b | | - Folder c | |-Folder 2 | |-Folder 3
I need a way to apply the view settings (ie, thumbnail, details, list icons etc) to only folder 1 AND all the sub folders without it affecting Folder 2 and 3. Also, is there a way to apply the type of columns for the folder when using the details view.
This should be an easy one, so just humour this dim-wit. When organising folders, how do I change the details? I have the folder in the details view, and know how to change which details it shows, but can't for the life of me figure out how to actually change the individual details of each folder. eg add the 'Year' detail column, how do I input the year for each folder? this seems like the most obvious, simple thing but is alluding me at the moment.
I custom configure the window environment for each individual user in WinXP?I know how to go to MMC->Group Policy. There are computer config and user config. All the parameters are in user configuration -> Admin Templates But, how can I set different sets of them and apply these templates to different groups?
I use acronis as a restore tool and have never had a problem restoring the entire operating system. I had this individual program that was corrupted and I reinstalled it from the image I made using acronis. However, the program failed to appear in the add/remove section of windows. I beleive that I have to manually reinstall the registry entry of the program in order for it to appear in the add/remove section. My question is: is there a registry backup utility that'll let me reinstall individual entries? Something that's a no-brainer also as I'm not completely comfortable fooling around with the registry.
I am looking for a good utility that monitors live individual IP network usage. I run a game server and when people use certain hacks their IP network usage climbs significantly. I use comodo internet security which will tell you IP usage in active network connections but the list isnt sortable and the active connections are lost in a long list of closed connections. I was using netpeeker to view the connected IPs usage but it was incompatible with comdodo and resulted in all large file downloads failing. Is there a utility that can do this without conflicting with comodo? I dont need any bandwidth limiting or anything I am just trying to identify IPs that have usage spikes.
I have Windows XP Home edition and use Outlook Express 6.0 My Brother has Windows XP Pro edition. He also uses OE 6.0. Whenever I send or forward an email with an attachment, he can't open the attachment. It says there is no file associated with it. I am sure that he doesn't have something checked off or something is checked on in his settings, that is causing this problem. This is frustrating for me because i have been sending him all kinds of emails with attachments and he hasn't been getting them. What would cause this to happen?
i keep getting emails with attachments ending in EML....i can't get them to come up....same with ones that end in .email. what am i doing wrong??? i click and then i clicked download & then run....nothing came up, just a blank screen. said there was no virus, but it still didn't come up. i feel like such an idiot! this is just a machine right? shouldn't i be in charge!?
When I receive an Email attachment I click on attachment but I cannot open it. I get this:"This file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action"
I have developed a problem attaching and sending/receiving URL's. On receipt from a known sender i receive *.url in the attachment box and when i click to open, a window appears saying " Windows has found that this file is potentially harmful. To help protect your computer, Windows has blocked access to to this file." I have recently started using Microsoft Anti Spyware Beta version and am wondering whether this is having an effect.
Email account is with a cable co. When I transfer pictures as an attachment they get sent too large for my dial up friends. How can I downsize them form 589kb to a more manageble 39.8kb?
I'm looking for Photo Editor in Windows XP. The reason why is because it worked well when I wanted to run my scanner as a twain device in 98. I can't find Photo.ED now.Does anyone know how to install Photo-ed in XP? IF not, what application works as a twain with a scanner?
up until a month ago I was able to send attachments with my e-mail. Now, when I click on the "attach files" button, it continues as if is attaching it then stops and goes straight back to the main e-mail page. No error message or anything!I've tried it with different attachments and I've tried by disableing the firewall.Again, this was working just fine up until a month ago.
When i send an email with attachment, my recipients could only receive the email message but not the attachment if they use outlook express. But if they use outlook they can receive both attachment and email message. As these users are of different companies i suspect the problem is the settings on my side. Is there anything i can set to resolve?
This tweak is usefull for those who uses Russian MUI XP installed. After installing Russian MUI when you receive message with attachment inside there is no attachment sign(button) in Outlook Express.
I have windows XP with the latest update.I have created shortcuts for some photos. What shows on the desktop are symbols. I want thumbnails of my photos instead. Right clicking on the symbol and then on "properties" does not give me the option to change anything except which program will open the file. Is there a way to change these symbols to thumbnails? How do I do it?
Running Windows XP on a HP Pavillion zv6000. The past several months it has started trying to install PhotoGallery and nothing I am trying will make it quit. I've tried registry fix, I've gone to Microsoft and gotten their fix for it and that won't work.
I tried to print off a picture in Microsoft Photo Editor and was unable to.The following error screens came up: "printer error" and " insufficient memory". My printer is set as the default printer. I tried to print other pictures and got the same response.I need to correct this problem so I can print pictures if needed.

I am a big music downloader (all paid for, thank you)! I'm 55 so I guess I forgot how to download them as individual songs and not have them arbitrarily placed in folders predetermined by Windows. I remember a musicmatch and/or real networks technician told me once how to change my settings so they are captured as individual songs. Probably a simple answer, but I don't remember it.
About a month ago my husband was having trouble sending emails. I would sometimes, but it would eventually work for me, but still not for him. He told me he had heard about the email antivirus scanners and somehow they block outgoing mail. So I reinstalled our Grisoft AVG antivirus without the email scanner. Now we can not send any attachments at all. Pictures, documents, nothing. I since reinstalled the email scanner since when trying to send I would get the message that a virus was attached. It still happens. It kicks it back along with about 50 messages telling why. Looks something like this..........

My operating system is Windows XP utilizing Internet Explorer and Outlook Express 6. Upon opening the attachment on certain e-mails from people I know, the following window appears and I cannot open the attachment!"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the folder option control panel"I can find and open the control panel folder option, but have no idea how to proceed from there! Does one have to repeat this procedure (however you instruct me to proceed) with every e-mail that presents this problem?
