My Favourites now contain hundreds of entries because it is somehow automatically adding them without me specifically doing so. I presume there is a way of stopping this. Does anybody know how?

On my PC at work running XP Pro, when you click on the start button, after "All Programs", the next 6 items were My Documents, My Pictures, My Music, My Favourites, My Computer & My Network Places. You could select my favourites, select a web site from the sub menu, and internet explorer would open at that page.My PC at home does not have the favourites item, so I have to open explorer first, and select the favourites that way.

just bought my mum a new computer (win XP) & am trying to set it up for her. When I save things (such as google) to favourites, i get told it has been saved but when i go to the start menu there is no favoutites! how can i get this in the sart list?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had this Compaq since 2004. I've added a gig of RAM, a 250gb SATA HDD, and a 6600GT card.Anyway, I want to do a clean install of XP, which I've never done. I've cleared a bunch of space on my 250gb HD and transfered all the files im going to keep from C: to the 250gb.So my question is what will happen to my 250gb drive? Do I have to disconnect it? Will XP recognize it after the clean install? What about the extra RAM and 6600gt?
