Recently when I am in internet explorer and go into a site the page semi freezes. In other words it just sits there not totally opening up with all the data on a page. If I click to go out then the page fades to an off white with the data still readable. I can then go out and come back in and often all is well. But this happens quite a bit. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just had a blue screen and using samsung restore I did a basic restore of windows 7, It's seems to have fixed Windows but now when I try to use internet explorer it opens with the tool bars and I can use Google tool bar to search but the main screen is blank white.Additionally I thought it maybe a virus that caused the issue but when I have tried to update AVG the interface is not displaying properly and any buttons are completely blank and do not show any text.Thirdly any text in any program is in the same font (times new roman i think).I can connect to the internet fine with firefox but even with this the font is an issue and when trying to update avg using firefox the buttons on download process are blank

- Re-register the DLL Nothing happens when you click a link in Internet Explorer
- Check your default web browser setting
- Change the file types that Internet Explorer opens by default
- Use the Internet Explorer No Add-ons mode
- Reset Internet Explorer settings
- Reregister the necessary Internet Explorer DLL files
- Use System Restore
The problem remains unsolved. Everything else runs fast and perfectly on my computer, included Mozilla Firefox. However I don't like when something doesn't run very well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been building and programing a loooong time but have never found a problem I couldn't solve one way or another. This one however has me baffled. I built a computer for my wife (has to be my wifes of course) this last April. I entered the specs when I registered. What happens is when on a program like say Quickbooks or on the internet or even on office, the screen will go to desktop while she's in the middle of typing.Like it would if the screensaver was coming on from inactivity. She moves the mouse and the place she was pops right back up. It does NOT happen at any timed interval. I made sure I have the latest drivers and firmware installed. I set power options to never shut down or sleep. I swapped memory, video card and power supply. Still does it.

Guitars, Musical Instruments, and Musical Equipment from Guitar Center..I've had him update Java, as the site heavily relies on Java but that didn't help. His I.E.9 add-ons list is exactly like mine so that isn't the problem. He has Microsoft Security Essentials with the default settings, same as me. He has the same ISP (Brighthouse cable/Roadrunner), etc.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I right-click with the Performace Setting "Fade or slide menus into view" it doesnt really "slide" into view it just displays a white box for a split second then the menu slides open into the white box. My pc is in perfect running condition so its not a performance issue or anything. Also it doesnt happen every time I right-click just like 50% of the time. And the other 50% is cuz it doesn't slide it just pops up instantly.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen i'm using my windows 7 at anywhere it somedays starts freezing and sound starts slowing and giving Buzz sound. When i move mouse or press keyboard it freezes like 0.5 sec and after that it's again ''normal'' untill i move/press again.I have noticed that my HDD goes NUTS whit reading if i move mouse alot or press buttons alot. Could it be HDD failure or it's in my windows 7?This bug happens pure random somedays i play over 6h whitout it but sometimes it can happen after booting computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have found at least one other person that had a similar problem, but the information you provided for that problem doesn't seem to fit my symptoms. That person was seeing the message "please wait while connection is being established", I am not getting any messages, just a flashing black to white screen that stays white.
When booting, my screen will flash white. If the boot is successful, which is less than 50% of the time,I then see the loading windows screen and the computer goes ahead and boots normally. But, more often than not, I never see the booting windows screen and the monitor will just flash from black to white, several times, and then stays white. I do get the windows music to indicate that the boot was successful,but I can only see a blank white screen, no icons or mouse cursor. If I press the power button a couple of times, the system will usually eventually give me a screen that looks like the system was paused and is waiting for a user to be selected and a password to be entered. Once I am able to access the system, it seems to work normally. I have waited as long as 15 minutes or so to see if the boot will complete once I get the white screen, but it never seems to go any further.
I have checked for a virus using my virus checker, Viper antivirus, and checked for malware using malware bytes, but can find nothing. I even started a boot log to see if I could see any indication in the log file, but I can see nothing.
I built a custom computer last week. Whenever I boot up my computer. There is a White Dash in the top right hand corner of the screen. When Windows starts booting there are 3 Dashes in a row in the top left to middle of the screen. Windows boots fine though. Just wondering what it means.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Radeon 6570 today and I installed it, but now Windows won't boot it just gives me the blinking white dash. So I removed the card, switched back to onboard from BIOS and it still didn't work. I tried a lot of other stuff but it didn't work so I reinstalled Windows with the graphics card removed (Hoping it would reinstall the drivers for the onboard video) it didn't. So then I tried booting from an old Linux disc I found and it worked (how I am typing) but Windows still won't. I ran a diagnostics text and everything is working, and I can even access all my personal files on my old Windows install from Linux so I know that it's active.

However,I have encountered a new problem, and I am not able to know what the reason might me.
As you can see windows which are white will create a reflection/smudge sort of ghost image on the screen which is also affected in screenshots, so that would rule out the monitor being faulty. [URL] Now there's a couple of different new things.. My new GPU which is a sapphire HD7770 The way that my monitor connects to the GPU which is a VGA cable going into a VGA to DVD-I adapater. And the AMD drivers which is the version 12.11 -beta-
I turn on my computer to eventually get a black screen with white cursor that will move around. The Toshiba insignia comes up beforehand as well as the windows four square icon then it is to this black screen and white cursor. I cant seem to get the computer to boot up from Windows 7 installation disc. Sometimes I also get a BOOTMGR image is corrupt. The system cannot boot. message as well. I imagine there is a solution of sorts as it seems many people have had a similar problem. I have a freind who maybe able to fix it seeing he is a computer programmer but that is not until the end of the week.

When I turn on laptop shows HP main logo (Press "ESC" key to enter start up menu) and after that shows a white dash flashing on the top left corner. I tried system repair disc, but it didnt work. I tried to restore system to an earlier point and didnt work either, it showed an error (0x8000ffff). I tried to restore to factory settings using F11 key but it only shows the white blinking. It starts up normally and then when all the Icons are refreshing (turn into white paper icons) it freezes along with the mouse. Can't do anything but turn off. It always happens. View 7 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a new ssd for my desktop and have winodws running on my old 500GB hard disk.I installed windws 7 home 64 bit on my new ssd and have winodws ultimate on my old HDD.I the booted it from my ssd and it ran fine then I formatted my HDD with the old winodws using mini-tool Partion and had to restart to format. The HDD did have a system restore Partion but my ssd did not, now when I boot from my ssd a white line just shows up In the top left corner.I have Tryed windows startuP repair but no luck.

I later that day (as I could not boot into Windows 7), I deleted the Linux partitions with Windows 7 DVD. Now, after BIOS I just get a white blinking border on a black screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically this white screen (sometimes with blue lines running down sometimes without) has been appearing on startup. At first it just appeared in place of the windows logo before log in, but now it's appearing earlier on and the only way to bypass it is to hit the power button and hope it loads up properly. I've tried disabling/uninstalling the display driver and this has either (a) caused the laptop to crash to the white screen or (b) nothing, just back to white screen appearing at intervals.

i ave this little white square on the dead enter of my desktop and cant get rid of it. i know its not the pixles becuase its only onmy desktop. the windows gadgets will cover it up, it not there when i pen anything else.
