Windows Explorer ( Not Internet Explorer) Starts Up When Turn On Computer?
Dec 22, 2011
Windows Explorer ( not internet Explorer) starts up when I turn on my computer ( without my request). This just started to occur yesterday. It must be in some startup menu . Where do I look for this to remove it ?
This is seriously why I hate IE. As soon as I click the Internet Explorer 9 icon to start it... it crashes. It appears for a split second then closes.I tried running the Advanced SystemCare 4 "Fix IE" option.... and it didn't work. What do I need to do. I need it for a few sites.
When I turn on my laptop after loading all the antivirus, charger , volume, and other i dont know programs, internet explorer automatically opens a website My problem= no problemBUT Im mad because it feels not organize or, not as like before, turn on load all the programs and go.
i have mozilla firefox and internet explorer on my computer. when i turn on my computer or log in everytime the internet explorer opens automatically.. how do i get that to stop happening?
I am running windows 7 x64 on a core 2 quad. I can never seem to upgrade internet explorer 8 to 9. I keep receiving errors. I have deactivated all of the addons. My computer is completely up to date but for this one. I received error code:80246007 What should I do?
Upon every boot up Windows Explorer ( not Internet Explorer) automatically loads and displays. This has been going on for some time. I thought this would be solved once I did a "Install Repair" , yet this is not the case.I have looked in the startup folder to see if it is being requested on startup and it is not. I have not been able to see where this request resides to turn it off.
I believe that my home computer was infected by a virus and I am not able to connect to the internet through explorer or safari, I get the message "windows cannot find crogramfiles"x86"/internet explorer.exe,. make sure you type the name correctly then try again"
I tried to install Internet Explorer 9 for testing a website. It prompted me to restart after the install, so I did. It never started back up. Now my computer will not boot into windows except in safe mode and system restore doesn't facilitate at all.
This is my ntbtlog.txt: [code]Microsoft (R) Windows (R) Version 6.1 (Build 7600) 5 29 2011 02:49:09.125 Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32 toskrnl.exe Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32hal.dll Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32kdcom.dll Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32mcupdate_AuthenticAMD.dll Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32PSHED.dll Loaded driver SystemRootsystem32CLFS.SYS [Log] .....
My computer won't connect through the internet except with internet explorer,my tablet, cellphone, XBox, and wife's PC are all fine.
Ways I've tried to connect:
Steam, Google Chrome, Malewarebytes update, and AVG free (requires internet to install).
What I have tried:
Changing DNS settings in chrome, running Malwarebytes (No detections), AVG (couldn't install due to "no connection"), Avast (No results), tried installing Ad-Ware (Can't "connect"), and I tried the LAN settings (Detect settings and unchecking the proxy box).
my computer won't let me go on Internet. it will say there is something internet explorer is not working and a whole bunch of internet tabs would pop up saying error. do i have a virus?
About 3 weeks ago I deleted two .avi files from the video folder on my PC, and for a few days afterwards they continued to reappear there. They still turn up occasionally in Explorer Resources, but when I try to delete them again, I am told that they cannot be found, so they actually have been deleted. Is there any way to get rid of these entries completely? I cannot use standard removal tools since I cannot eliminate a file that 'no longer exists' (!) on the computer.
Got a problem with IE. I get a window saying that IE has a problem and gives an option to let the internet find a solution. This does not seem to help any. I can get out of it and keep going , but the same window will keep reappearing.
Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit. Windows Explorer issue, not Internet Explorer. In my folder tree, there was a folder named "Documents" which contained no information at all. Note: I am not referring to the Libraries folder named "Documents!"All of my files are in custom-named folders, each of which is preceded by my 3-letter, initials caps. But, after deleting that redundant, empty folder named "Documents," Windows added a new bizzarre folder which I cannot get rid of. It has no information in it; it has no other right-click options except "Expand," and clicking that option doesn't do anything at all. There is no information in that folder.
I have an issue I've never been faced with. Have a coumputer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. There is no internet explorer icon in the start menu or anywhere else. I installed IE9 and rebooted the machine, still no icons. I looked in prorgram files and program files (x86) and each have a folder for internet explorer.....but neither have a exe file. I went into control panel and clicked on programs and features and then turn windows features on and off. IE9 is listed there. I removed the check and applied. It goes through the motions of uninstalling but when it's done it says it could not remove it all. I rebooted but when I went back in IE9 was still listed and checked. I tried to uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller Pro.......but it does not show IE9 as being installed
I need to get Internet Explorer 8 on my NEW windows 7 computer. I goto the microsoft download page, yet it only has a download for Vista, XP, and server.
I need help to reinstall my internet explorer 8 on my windows 7, I tried to uninstall the update for the internet explore9 but when I did that I had no internet explorer at all to use to get back on line
Internet Explore 9 wont install I've tried all their solutions on line but it just wont!(this has been going on since they launched 9!) I'm running EI8? There is also an update for Windows 7 but I can't in stall it (again this has been going on for a while) I get Error Code 643 Microsoft.NET Framework 4 client Profile for Windows7x86 ( KB982670) I've gone on to their web site but there seems to be on fix for this, so perhaps you can help with this too? Also I've just had the all clear from the brilliant Dave re a virus but when I ran a scan with Microsoft Security Essentials last night it crashed my computer and gave me a BSOD?

I changed the default rule for outgoing traffic so that erything that doesn't match a rule is blocked. That's okay, nothing can go out now. Then I add program rules allowing needed softs to access the internet freely. This works fine too, except for Internet Explorer. I can't get iexplore.exe or even ielowutil.exe access the internet without adding a rule for TCP 80.
If someone could explain it, I really don't understand why IExplore requires 2 rules to work while the first rules should allow him unrestricted access.
