This is seriously why I hate IE. As soon as I click the Internet Explorer 9 icon to start it... it crashes. It appears for a split second then closes.I tried running the Advanced SystemCare 4 "Fix IE" option.... and it didn't work. What do I need to do. I need it for a few sites.

Everytime, I'm navigating in it, suddenly a popup appears saying that Internet Explorer incountered a problem and Windows will try to resolve the problem. But then when it stop searching, it says that they couldn't resolve the problem and when they can will let me know.Yesterday I was feathup and downloaded Modzila Firefox. I'm sick and tired of this problem and would like to resolve it.I tried going on the microsoft website et download again Internet Explorer but it says I have the lastest version.

I have read on some forums that it could be caused by an Add On, therefore I have tried running internet explorer from the sytem tools menu with No Add Ons, but it still does the same thing opens and immediately crashes. I have runn CCleaner hoping that perhaps a registry problem was the cause, but this did not resolve the issue either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently re-installed Windows 7 from some rescue disks, and everything, with the exception of Internet Explorer is now running fine! Basically whenever I load a web page in IE it crashes after a short time (5 - 10 seconds), and I then have to exit with CTRL + SHIFT + ESC (Task Manager)! Inside task manager I actually have to terminate the IE processes, as IE won't exit if I attempt to shut down through the Applications tab.
Initially IE8 was installed from the rescue disks, and I have since upgraded to IE9, but both versions are behaving just as badly as each other.
I have even tried to start IE in "No-Add Ons" mode from the "Accessories" menu - however after a short time it still crashes. Now I have no add ons enabled, I have deleted everything (in IE history), scanned for viruses (there are none), and I am wondering if there is some way of repairing IE?
P.S.: I have installed other browsers, but I actually need IE for running some Microsoft Online Services, all other browsers are only supported in "lite" mode!!!
I'm trying to run memtest 86+ because I suspect I'm having a RAM issue - was getting lots of BSODs and now I am unable to reinstall windows (currently using ubuntu). I have made a bootable dvd with memtest86+ on it and a bootable usb as well as the built in memtest that is built into the linux grub bootloader. When I boot from any of these devices, the memtest screen (blue, with some writing - I recognize it from screenshots of the program) will pop up for about half a second, then it goes away and my computer restarts. This happens in an endless cycle until I turn the computer off or take the disk/usb out.
View 9 Replies View Relatedthe sound crashes randomly, and any videos also start lagging, (both Internet videos and windows media player videos,) at the same time. it occurs any time, sometimes half an hour from when i started the computer, sometimes after 6+ hours. the only thing that solves the problem is to reboot the computer. i installed a clean install of windows, but it still crashes. the sound works fine when it's not crashed. i always have conversations in skype, maybe that has something to do with it?

i got a problem with Vista, a normal start causes a crash (+memdump), it only starts in safemode, how to repair it ? i have already ran the installation-disk several times.
whats a little bit mysterious is the fact that last time i used that Vista-partition it worked normally. i then copied all files to a new partition on another harddisk and i have since then used that partion instead.
i changed CPU 2 days ago, can that be the cause ? the computer is otherwise working OK, im running Windows 7 on a another partition.
Upon every boot up Windows Explorer ( not Internet Explorer) automatically loads and displays. This has been going on for some time. I thought this would be solved once I did a "Install Repair" , yet this is not the case.I have looked in the startup folder to see if it is being requested on startup and it is not. I have not been able to see where this request resides to turn it off.

And starting today I've been getting constant APPCRASH errors from explorer.exe, it happens almost every 5 minutes (it's making me want to rage). I have gone to Event viewer to look for a reason and 9 out of 10 crashes acording to the faulting module is "msi.dll" Isn't msi the Microsoft installer? View 1 Replies View Relatedy motherboard Asus P8Z77-V LX can handle up to 32 GB of DDR3 1600mhz.I did do a "memtest" on all of my 16GB DDR3 1600mhz, 10 passes, 10 hours and no errors. I had my original 4 GB still in the computer as I had to remove the other ram to install Windows 7. Once windows was installed I ran it with just the 4 GB for a few days to make sure everything was working which it was. So I then re-installed the remaining 12 GB of ram and then right away windows explorer kept crashing. I removed the 12GB I just put in and reinstalled each stick separately with the original 4 GB so each time there was 8 GB of ram installed with no problems at all.So what gives ???Is there a default setting somewhere that is limiting my memory?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 on a Toshiba laptop bought last year. My windows explorer is currently stuck in a permanent state of crashing every 3 seconds. I've tried restarting, shutting down, running virus checks and removing all suspicious adware, removing cookies, and calling tech support. They said it was a problem with a corrupted something to do with the explorer file. It started by crashing once or twice whenever I viewed a particular folder on my desktop (all it had was some video files), and now it crashes when I'm not doing anything. Immediately crashes after reset. I'm operating in safe mode now and the tech guy said the problem is fixable from my end, but wouldn't tell me how to do it unless I gave him $160. And I don't have a credit card
If this helps, the tech guy was remotely controlling my computer and he's left open Services where he was looking at Computer Browser and he said he could fix it in one or two steps from there. The problem with the browser crash was cited as
"The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependency service or group failed to start."
Whenever I open a folder/drive or view a .flv file[in my pc and not my browser] explorer crashes and my CPU Usage goes up at 100%.And I have to restart Explorer.exe everytime this happens.I dont really know when this problem started cause I dont use much .flv files.
