View 2 RepliesWhen I right-click with the Performace Setting "Fade or slide menus into view" it doesnt really "slide" into view it just displays a white box for a split second then the menu slides open into the white box. My pc is in perfect running condition so its not a performance issue or anything. Also it doesnt happen every time I right-click just like 50% of the time. And the other 50% is cuz it doesn't slide it just pops up instantly.

Now to be very specific I linked to what i would like to have changed. i would like to change that to this look:
see that folder with the green arrow under the favorites menu. that is what I'd lvoe to have back again.
i do not like this whole my computer->c:->Program files-> winamp-> skins(that is an example) and to go back have to click on on the previous folder name. It would be nice to have that button again. so i can move back to the previous folder easier and faster. as well as the back button so i can click move quicker between folders.
I've been building and programing a loooong time but have never found a problem I couldn't solve one way or another. This one however has me baffled. I built a computer for my wife (has to be my wifes of course) this last April. I entered the specs when I registered. What happens is when on a program like say Quickbooks or on the internet or even on office, the screen will go to desktop while she's in the middle of typing.Like it would if the screensaver was coming on from inactivity. She moves the mouse and the place she was pops right back up. It does NOT happen at any timed interval. I made sure I have the latest drivers and firmware installed. I set power options to never shut down or sleep. I swapped memory, video card and power supply. Still does it.

Guitars, Musical Instruments, and Musical Equipment from Guitar Center..I've had him update Java, as the site heavily relies on Java but that didn't help. His I.E.9 add-ons list is exactly like mine so that isn't the problem. He has Microsoft Security Essentials with the default settings, same as me. He has the same ISP (Brighthouse cable/Roadrunner), etc.

View 9 Replies View Relatedif it is possible to change to send to menu to a move to command? For Reference: [URL]
That is a small, easy tutorial to add a move to menu to the right click context menu, but it still isnt what I want it to do.
I do not want to have to hold the shift key when I right click and send to whatever location I have in the send to menu. I also do not want to have to tell it where I want to move the file each time using the method shown in the above link. I simply want to my computer to just move the file to the location in the menu instead of copying it there. Can this be done? Am I asking to much of my operating system? I am running windows 7 Ultimate x64.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have successfully formatted my second HD into 3 partitions: Windows 7 x86, Windows 7 64 bit, and XP. The startup menu works fine but the two Windows 7 lines are the same. I may not be using the correct term for startup menu, but it is the one that appears when dual booting. Anyway, I would like to find the file so I can change the two identical lines to different lines. That is, instead of both saying "windows 7" I can change them to "Windows 7 x86" and Windows 7 x64" or something like that. Anybody know where that file is?

View 9 Replies View RelatedAnyone know how to change the underlined key in the Context Menu? Say for example you right click a Folder Favorite in the Nav Pane in Explorer. There's a command that says MyCommand. If the current underlined key is 'M' and 'y' is not taken, how to change it to 'y' then?In Windows Seven and Vista there are context menu commands to open the folder favorite in the Nav Pane in a new window. But for some reason they are different. I'd like to make them both the same. That way I wouldn't have to think about it. Just right click a Folder favorite and hit the key.

View 0 Replies View RelatedIn Windows Seven if I right click in Explorer left pane Favorites I can then press 'e' to open that folder in a new window. In Vista, I have to press 'o'. Being right handed and wanting to use the mouse, now I have to reach across with my left hand to press the 'o' key. Is there no way to change the underline/shortcut/accelerator whatever they call it key in the context menu? I see no way to do it. I look in the Registry and I don't see any "&" in front of any of the letters. But the short cut letter is there just the same. There must be a way to change it.

View 0 Replies View RelatedFor some reason, my start menu has suddenly become ridiculously tall, spanning the entire height of the screen. This image might give a better idea: imgur: the simple image sharer.
I have no idea how or why this happened. I tried searching for the problem, but I can't find a single thing even remotely related. My recent items count is at 0, so it's nothing to do with that. I've already tried fiddling about with the setting for that, but with no success at all. I tried a system restore to before this occurred, but this had absolutely no effect either. It's only affecting this profile, and no others (although, really, the only others are guest or temp accounts).
I have installed Win 7 RTM on several PCs and I like the new Win7 animation (the windows colors rotating then merging into the logo symbol). For some reason on my HP Mini 5101 this animation is replaced by the older Vista animation (the line of dashes moving left to right over "Microsoft Corp".. Is this "normal" or is there something I can do to change it to the Win 7 animation?
