Windows screen opens and immediately goes to white blank page and a few seconds later says Programme cannot display the webpage. I hadnt tried opening a web page or anything else. Eventually I get a Microsoft Security Essential messages asking if the following file path is malicious CWindowsuvwkviej.exe It then says restart required which I do but this doesnt solve the problem.

The problem remains unsolved. Everything else runs fast and perfectly on my computer, included Mozilla Firefox. However I don't like when something doesn't run very well.
When using my dell laptop, the screen will get quick tiny color lines and then go white blank and the only way to get it back up is to close my computer and wait about 2 minutes and sometimes I have to do this several times. This usually only happens if my computer is not plugged but also happens when it is just not as often.

I can get to the BIOS menu and I have tried restoring to default but that didn't do anything. I then unplugged ac adapter and battery and help power button down for a min. and then put battery and ac adapter back in and started it.

It's just a blank page. I opened a new tab and all of a sudden the entire screen was filled with a 'internet cannot display the page' page. I know this page appears when you are browsing the net and loose connectivity, however, after restarting my laptop, the home screen appears and a couple of seconds later disappears and the white page comes up. I canot access the menu bar or anything else when the page appears. I have pressed nearly every combination i can think of to get rid of it and it stays there. there is no 'x' box at the top to close it. The only thing that worked was when i pressed ctrl+alt+delete and this brought up the task manager option, however when i cliscked on start task manager it appeared for a second and then disappeared, like its going behind the white page.

Originally set up and installed MS Office, Adobe Reader, and a few other common programs. Installed VMware vSphere Client. Upon using VMWare vSphere Client for the first time, I first noticed the white/blank square in the upper right corner of my desktop. It has been there ever since, even when I have not used any applications after startup.

I have a windows 7 32 bit and for some reason it wont load. Its just stuck on the windows logo and nothing happens. I tried going into Safe Mode, and all the other F8 options but nothing works.So I read a little online and they suggested I repair the windows with my CD which I got when I bought the laptop.So I inserted the CD and I clicked on the repair button. Tried it on another Windows 7 system and it worked fine. Other browsers works fine as well so looks like it is just limited to my IE 9 being corrupted somehow. And I was searching for a well known social web hosting forum.That I was visiting two weeks ago and had no problems getting onto that site then. I will not tell you the link as I do not want anyone else to click on it, as it is not safe.But I clicked on the link from Yahoo search engine but instead of putting me onto the website. I was redirected to a blank page,that said I have got viruses and it needed to scan my computer.And it just closed my web browser,without warning, and started scanning.I tried to stop it but I could not, so I quickly shut down my computer as this brings everything on my computer to a halt. And then I turned my computer back on again everything seemed normal.But I did a scan with Windows Defender and MRT-Malicious Software removal tool,just in case. And it never found any viruses or malware. And using system restore to put my computer back in time to BEFORE the event happened helped,I think.
But when I went round to two of my friends house,the same thing happened to them on their computer.When they tried to go onto that website. And I tried some computers in the Internet cafe. And the same thing happened,so it was not just my computer.But am I right in that the website I visited was trying to install,spyware,a virus or malware on my computer and someone elses computer as well?As I explain the website is a well known and genuine website that I have visited in the past,well two weeks ago in fact. But now it redirects to that page which seems IS trying to install spyware on an unsuspecting persons computer. And it is not just my computer was trying to do it on.So am I right was it spyware or a computer virus,that, that redirect was trying to install on my computer? And if so is there anything we can do about it?As I reported the website link to Google and Yahoo and they have not taken it off of the search engine.
I have been trying to run down a problem of my pc waking from sleep as soon as i close the screen. I have been throught the device mgr, mgmt.msc, pc is updated, and i only experience this when i close the top.....if i put the pc to sleep and dont close the top it works perfectly....close the top....5 seconds later....pc wakes and the logs report says that its the power button is waking the pc....dont know how because i cant access power button when the top is closed...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have found at least one other person that had a similar problem, but the information you provided for that problem doesn't seem to fit my symptoms. That person was seeing the message "please wait while connection is being established", I am not getting any messages, just a flashing black to white screen that stays white.
When booting, my screen will flash white. If the boot is successful, which is less than 50% of the time,I then see the loading windows screen and the computer goes ahead and boots normally. But, more often than not, I never see the booting windows screen and the monitor will just flash from black to white, several times, and then stays white. I do get the windows music to indicate that the boot was successful,but I can only see a blank white screen, no icons or mouse cursor. If I press the power button a couple of times, the system will usually eventually give me a screen that looks like the system was paused and is waiting for a user to be selected and a password to be entered. Once I am able to access the system, it seems to work normally. I have waited as long as 15 minutes or so to see if the boot will complete once I get the white screen, but it never seems to go any further.
I have checked for a virus using my virus checker, Viper antivirus, and checked for malware using malware bytes, but can find nothing. I even started a boot log to see if I could see any indication in the log file, but I can see nothing.
