Jun 12, 2009However, since starting to use windows 7 x64 build 7127 ( his first windows 7 xperience ) after every boot, he has to unplug the USB connector, Restart and Plug it in once windows is running, or else it wont boot!
It seams to be a driver problem, but the vista drivers dont seem to work correctly
Dose anyone on here have any experience with these?
CPU Stuck To Heat-sink?
Oct 16, 2012I was replacing my heatsink for my cpu. Unfortunately the cpu came up with the heatsink. Before I get out a chisel and hammer, I thought I might first check on the forum for some advice on how to gently separate the cpu from the heatsink. Is there a solvent that I can safely use to disolve the goop without damaging the cpu? Computer is about 5 years old and has never had the heatsink removed before, so the cpu goop that was put on at the factory is probably like glue now.

The fans in my PC have been making a lot of racket and I was checking them and cleaning them today and trying to pin point which one was kicking up such a racket.During this I removed my CPU heatsink/fan and gave it a clean, but I wondered if I need to reapply thermal paste? I know when changing you're supposed to put it on, but I thought that as I have removed it, but not changed it, the paste won't be as good a contact between the CPU and the heatsink and won't disperse the heat as well (or maybe hardly at all?)Just checked the temp with only Firefox (and background tasks of course) running, and my Q6600 is running at about 45, 45, 45, 58. The final processor is always the hottest and it says the max it has been was 70.I'm loathe to do to much with the PC (gaming and I've got some videos to transfer to DVD, which always pushes one of the processors) if the lack of paste could damage the processor.

Overclocking An AMD FX-8350 And Proper Cooling?
Jan 9, 2013I am currently thinking about overclocking my new processor. To be quite honest I am a little new to overclocking and just wanted to get a few questions answered before I decide to start.clocking from 4.0 GHz to 5.0 GHz. Is this feasible? My main concern is proper cooling and this is where it gets a little complicated, I do not want anything to do with liquid cooling (to be honest, the thought alone is unsettling). Are there any Air coolers that will fit my case (NZXT lexa s) and cool my processor enough to keep it stable at 5.0 GHz? Also, at idle my processor runs at about 12.7 C (around 55 F).

Very funny, now, it only works between 10am and midnight. This has been hell to figure out because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I know it has something to do with the context of the "set hour" or "if "%hour.." part, but I can't figure it out. Should be an easy fix for someone familiar with .bat programming. Can't Create New Simple Volume
Sep 13, 2012wondering if this is a limitation of having 4 primary partitions.my lenovo came with 4 primary partitions (all tagged with dark blue color in diskmgmt):

I can shrink the 650gb by say 300gb, and it will make a 350gb unallocated partition.If i try to create a new simple volume from the 350gb, disk mgmt throws errors saying 'not enough space to complete operation'
CPU Going Nuts When Doing Simple Tasks
Sep 8, 2011It has gotten worse, the problem is that my CPU's temperature goes above 70 and sometimes around 85, and the fan just goes crazy.I can run as many applications I want, as long as they don't involve: gaming (3D), video rendering, video conversion, video streaming, skype calling etc.
This is ridiculous, I'm trying to convert my videos to another format, and can't really do it in this condition because I fear shortening the life of my laptop if the overheat stays on. I just bought my laptop the start of this year, this only started to happen recently.
