Error "0xC004F074 The Software Protection Service Reported That The Computer Could Not Be Activated
Feb 10, 2013when I booted up my computer, I got a message saying "You're copy of windows is not genuine". So now the back of my desktop is black and says "Windows is not genuine". So then I downloaded the update from microsoft. Now so when I try to enter my key I get the error "0xC004F074 The Software Protection Service reported that the computer could not be activated. No Key Management Service (KMS) could be contacted. Please see the Application Event Log for additional information." So I ran my AVS and found quite a few threats and removed them. But still I get that error.

Apr 27, 2011As of today, I am constantly getting a popup from the Internet Protection Firewall Alert saying I have serious threats and I keep saying "ignore". They say do you want to protect and get rid of the viruses and then they want me to buy something and I say no. But the popup still happen about every 2 minutes and it says JEMonster is found. I did run Super anitspyware yesterday, but that is all I've done. It did remove stuff from the registry. I can't even use the computer.

Aug 26, 2009This is a problem that has probably been solved but I have spent some time looking for the solution without success.
Windows 7 (6.1.7100 build 7100) indicates that I have no Internet connection in spite of the fact that I can browse without any problems (see attached image).
Mostly this is not a problem except that I want to connect to an external server to upload files. Normally I use map network drive for this. When I attempt this, I fail because it doesn't see the Internet connection.
I have tried the following solutions which haven't worked
Disabling link scanning in AVG Disabling all other network connections

Have unplugged everything a few times, modem and all and still get the same message. I believe at the time I started getting this message, I was opening up a Walgreens email and was going to delete it and that's when my issues started.

The system is extremely slow and I can only stay logged onto an IE page for a few minutes before it has to shut down. My system just restarted (not sure why) and after the start up I got this error message "An error occurred in the program. Try to open it again. Windows 7 Pro Suddenly De-activated?
Jul 25, 2012Last night after some modem problems which may be coincidental Windows 7 PRO (OEM) suddenly de-activated. It now will not re-activate either by the normal method or by telephone. No hardware has been changed and to my knowledge no new software was installed although some of course may have been updated. I was simply attempting to browse the web. It came with a new build and has been fine since November 2011. Checking the error logs I find these related messages. Nov 1, 2012The hurricane came and cut the power while the computer was on. power came back on after 3 days. i cut the computer on and it said that startup has failed. so the computer tired to do the auto fix. But then it failed and shut down. I cut the computer back on and i had a horrible long beep maybe a full second. then it sent to system restore because of a windows problem. i tried the restore but then that failed because a steam file. when that was finish its sent to log into computer. at this point i am confused because im on the computer when it say that start up has failed. i didn't know what esle to do so i just shut down the computer and cut it back on and the long beep was gone. it started up as normal. However under system it say that i have 8 days to activate windows.

Feb 6, 2013Today i had this sudden blackout and obviously turned off my pc while it was on use. When the power went abck on and i turned on my pc it was asking me for a valdiation of my windows.
I went to the properties to check if it was true that my windows wasnt genuine just to find out the validation was there and wasnīt asking again for the serial.
I searched for a while diffrent fixes or st least what caused this. I canīt make windows update, canīt use backgrounds and when i try to open Window Activation Update just deosnīt let me.
I donīt have the serial or the window disk at least not in hand. It was already installed by the company who built up my pc.
