I installed win 7 pro on my laptop, it's not the original computer the cd key is assigned to. everthings working, it even let me update it to sp1, but what happens after 30 days, it says some features will not be available? such as? will I be able to use at all?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have 2 questions, I have a windows 7 enterprise in 90 days trial that's about to expire in 3 weeks, I'm not really sure what's best to do next as this is my first time to have a trial period with an OS. now my questions are:
1. should I install a new windows 7 version (home, professional, or whatever) and if I do that do will I still have my files, settings etc. on my computer?
2. is there an easy way to just continue with my windows 7 enterprise like I'll just enter a product key or something or do I really need to purchase a new one?
For the past 4 or 5 months I almost never turned my PC off, only restarted the system from time to time if it seemed a bit clogged or slow. Six days ago I went out of the house for the holiday so I had to turn off the computer (shut down). I did that by going to the main orb in win 7 and by selecting "shut down".Today I returned from the holiday and when I turned on the PC, I noticed that it boots EXTREMELY slowly, especially after it asks for my admin password. Also all the programs work extremely slowly (not only the boot sequence). It looks as if there is some resident program that sucks all the resources but I don't see it in the task manager. The current CPU usage is about 5% and there is about 2 MB free physical RAM.If I now start Chrome it will show up only after 5 minutes or so, or it may freeze the system completely. Even Notepad takes about 1 minute to show up after being selected. Several times I couldn't even bring up the task manager (I got the message "Windows can't initialize security tasks..." or something like that).I just did a system restore to a date when I remember that my PC definitely worked well (about 10 days ago), but I am still having the same problems. It also seems as if the program that controls the speed of the fans inside the PC is not working properly and right now I hear almost no noise from the fans. While I did a system restore from the Windows Safe mode the fans worked properly.

Last night after some modem problems which may be coincidental Windows 7 PRO (OEM) suddenly de-activated. It now will not re-activate either by the normal method or by telephone. No hardware has been changed and to my knowledge no new software was installed although some of course may have been updated. I was simply attempting to browse the web. It came with a new build and has been fine since November 2011. Checking the error logs I find these related messages. View 9 Replies View RelatedThe hurricane came and cut the power while the computer was on. power came back on after 3 days. i cut the computer on and it said that startup has failed. so the computer tired to do the auto fix. But then it failed and shut down. I cut the computer back on and i had a horrible long beep maybe a full second. then it sent to system restore because of a windows problem. i tried the restore but then that failed because a steam file. when that was finish its sent to log into computer. at this point i am confused because im on the computer when it say that start up has failed. i didn't know what esle to do so i just shut down the computer and cut it back on and the long beep was gone. it started up as normal. View 5 Replies View RelatedToday i had this sudden blackout and obviously turned off my pc while it was on use. When the power went abck on and i turned on my pc it was asking me for a valdiation of my windows.
I went to the properties to check if it was true that my windows wasnt genuine just to find out the validation was there and wasnīt asking again for the serial.
I searched for a while diffrent fixes or st least what caused this. I canīt make windows update, canīt use backgrounds and when i try to open Window Activation Update just deosnīt let me.
I donīt have the serial or the window disk at least not in hand. It was already installed by the company who built up my pc.
when going to programs and features i find that my programs do not populate. is there another way to uninstall programs besides in programs and features? also, is there a setting in the program that I need to correct?

I've reinstalled Windows 7 prof. x64 twice (for a total of 3 installs). somewhere along the line of installing my standard programs 9all of which work, no issues, ect.) my "turn windows features on and off" box will go blank. I tried figuring out what program triggered this behavior by reinstalling and restarting after every program installed and checking the box. it was a different program that triggered the event from reinstall 1 to reinstall 2. so, that's telling me it's not a specific program that's triggering it. anyway, I don't have 2 hours to reinstall windows and my programs every night, so I'd like to know if there is a workaround (ie registry entries) that I can edit to enable features and programs. from my understanding of how "turn windows features on and off" works, it must only be changing a registry entry or editing a config file that tells the OS not to load those features, as in the documentation, it states that the programs and features are not uninstalled, they're just disabled.

This copy of Windows is not genuine
It is genuine and activated. When I restart my computer and login and everything loads the message isn't there, but after a while the message with show up and I have to restart my computer to make it temporarily go away, so why am I getting that message and how can I make it so it doesn't reappear.
This has happened to me a few times but windows sometimes tells me it's not genuine and needs activating. If I go online and validate/activate it sorts it self out but why would it be doing this?

I got my computer (Packard Bell EN TV11HC) installed windows 7 ultimate and I activated it. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had a Dell Laptop (l502x) with Windows 7 Premium 64 Bit for almost a year now.It's a great thing, except for one thing: i get about 1 BSOD every 1-2 days.As it happens only once every other day, i almost got used to it, but now it's starting to get on my nerves and I'm wondering what is causing it, as they are totally random.On the Dell support website they told me to try the Windows Debugging Tool, which then showed me it had to do with wwussf64.sys. According to some dubious 'anti-virus' sites on the internet this was linked to some Ericsson software, although i don't have any.Might be interesting to know, when they delivered the laptop in 2011, the backlit keyboard was not working, and they had to replace the keyboard and motherboard twice to get it working.
