POPUP ERROR MESSAGE IN Internet Explorer 8 WHEN CLINKING ON MAIL ICON
Feb 16, 2011
I just purchased a brand new Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Desktop Computer. I replaced it with my old Windows XP IE8 and used Hotmail as my email client which I still want to use on my new Windows 7 Computer. However; when I click on the read mail icon in IE8, on my new Windows 7 PC, I get a popup error message saying "Cannot perform operation because the Default Mail Client is not properly installed."
When starting Internet Explorer, I keep getting and error message telling me that Windows Installer cannot be accessed. Now I cannot open Outlook, Word, iTunes etc. When I do try to open these programs, I get a message saying "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Small Business 2007", but it doesnt seem to do anything. I've run a diagnostic (F12) and was alerted of the following error :Error Code 0142, Msg Error Code 2000-0142, Status 79. The system is extremely slow and I can only stay logged onto an IE page for a few minutes before it has to shut down. My system just restarted (not sure why) and after the start up I got this error message "An error occurred in the program. Try to open it again. If this problem continues, you'll need to reinstall Microsoft Security Client. Error Code: 0x80040154". I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell Studio.
ive been having a problem with internet explorer crashing since i bought my laptopim using ie9 and i keep getting the msg saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close (i appoligize if its not the exact words). than it closes all my programs down. i dont know if it has to do with another problem i have been having while playing facebook games and watching movies using flash player. right out of the blue my game or movie (whichever im doing) freezes than either says i need to update flashplayer or it just shows a big "!" were my game or movie should be.
I did a clean install of Wincdows 7 Home Premium today. I placed the Internet Explorer (32 bit) icon on the start menu but it displays only a generic icon.Internet Explorer 64 bit is ok.) I did some playing around and have gotten the proper icon to display in the start menu but it still displays the generic icon in the task bar.I tried deleting the IconCache.db in the username folder but it did no good.
When I am in Windows Live email and I navigate away from the page to a link I get a message that states "There was a problem sending the command to the program." Then I click "OK" and it goes away until the next time. All was working fine until a few months ago.
When I receive emails with a link to web sites, I can not click on the link to be redirected, (other than right clicking copy and paste into browser). Instead, I receive an error message that reads: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or if one is installed, create an association in the Default Programs Control Panel"
I have a chronic error message on my Windows Live Mail. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bitServer error 550Server smtp comcast.netWLM Error ID0x800CC79protocol SMTPPort I'm no longer interested in sending the message. I just want to stop the error window from popping up every time I use my Windows Live email.
When I click on EMAIL MESSAGE (to create a new email message) When I click on REPLY, REPLY ALL, or FORWARD, I receive the following message, A problem has occurred while trying to open this message. A problem has occurred.
I have lost the IE icon from the dropdown taskbar on my Sony Vaio laptop.I have tried the other suggestions on this site but nothing seems to work. All I get when I try to right click and open on Explorer is library information.
I have a Toshiba laptop, using Windows 7 (64bit) with IE9. I use Gmail and have installed their Notifier. When I attempt to use a webpage link to send an email or document, I get the error message, "default email client not properly installed".I have no clue what this means or how to fix it, so I attempted to research it online.I'd like to keep this a simple as possible. Can anyone walk me through the steps? I think I'd like to use Google & not Windows Live (have no idea why though), then I heard Post Box Express was simple, then I was told to press 'options' in my Notifier, but that went nowhere.
Windows Live Mail closes unexpectedly repeatedly without error message and one account disappeared?
I have multiple accounts being used for years on Windows Live Mail - Version 2009 - Build 14.0.8117.0416 on XP Pro SP3
Recently, Windows Live Mail closes unexpectedly repeatedly without error message Then as I kept trying to figure out I noticed one account disappeared? I think that happened later.
I have the ENTIRE WL MAIL Log file.
To track why this was happening I went offline mode and it would not crash. So, I figured it was something to do with the Sync. So I disabled the Auto Sync for every account I had and did manual syncs for one account at a time. Found the account that was causing this.
Its a hotmail account. I signed into Hotmail and all seems ok. I am posting the follow lines from the LOG, when I manually synched that account from WL Mail a few times.
I could try to trace back into the LOGS as to when this drama actually started originally, and post that and / or most of it. Let me know if someone can help dissect Windows Live Mail issues. Found its due to Sync of one account, Error Log info posted.

I turn the computer on, Windows (7 Home Premium, on a Dell Inspiron) starts, I go to my logon screen, type my password, hear the music and see the "Welcome" screen for a long time (3 minutes or so). Then I get a small error window with the message The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000006). Please Click OK to continue.I click OK, and I see a frozen screen (black, not blue). That's it. Nothing else happen. Nothing works, except Ctrl+Alt+Del, Task Manager, where however, I cannot do anything.I can start window with the command prompt, or in safe mode, but I cannot go to explorer works (I have run explorer from the cmd prompt, with the same result as described above
I have a laptop that has the HP simplepass installed. Its pretty good, but everytime I enter a website with a login, a popup with the fingerprint icon popups in the top left corner of the screen. I think its annoying because i do not want that pop up coming if it blocks the back button. Furthermore, i do not have an account with all the websites that i go to. al/Temp/moz-screenshot.png[/IMG]I want to still be able to use the function while entering websites, but i do not want it to pop up everytime.
I can click on an icon in the system tray, and the pop-up appears correctly (for example, clicking on the volume icon, the volume control appears). However, as soon as I move the mouse pointer towards the pop-up, the pop-up vanishes.
I am on my work place computer but my home computer is getting an error 651 WAN message and I can't connect to the internet. Have unplugged everything a few times, modem and all and still get the same message. I believe at the time I started getting this message, I was opening up a Walgreens email and was going to delete it and that's when my issues started.
basically I've just moved house and the internet isn't working. We have a modem that's connected to a pc with an Ethernet n there is a laptop co-nected wireless. Connections between comp n modems are good but modem to internet isnt. When loading ie or Chrome a message comes up 105 unable to resolve the servers dns.
Once I've started my computer the "Network" icon is kind of "searching" but after a while it becomes red like I have no internet access. But I do got internet, I can go the internet but I can't open anything in the start menu. Then after a while again, the icon becomes "normal" and everything works fine. The code I get when I troubleshoot is "0x80070426" and the troubleshooter wont start. This is kind of annoying, I am using Windows 7 ultimate.
my computer won't let me go on Internet. it will say there is something internet explorer is not working and a whole bunch of internet tabs would pop up saying error. do i have a virus?
I have just installed Win 7 RC onto my Fujitsu Lifebook and am receiving the above error repeatedly when trying to use Internet Explorer (also get similar error for Windows Explorer). When the error appears it lists the "process name" (iexplore.exe or explorer.exe), "Module name" (eg mshtml.dll - this varies) and "assert offset" (eg 004DEB6E - also varies) along with 3 buttons "Ignore Once", "Ignore Always" and "Do not ignore".
If I select "do not ignore" the windows error reporting process kicks in but does not find a solution and will ocassionally restart IE or kick me out completely. Selecting "Ignore Once" will often lead to a number of similar popups with either different module or assert offsets.
I have gone through device manager to ensure all my drivers are properly updated and have also tried to reinstall to no avail.
Not sure if it is connected but Windows Update does not appear to find any updates either even if I try and install Office 2007 and look for updates to that (I know it should find SP2 at least).
Using MS Fix it Center, I am trying to run the test on Internet Explorer Performance. It tells me an unexpected error occured, the trouble shooting wizard cannot continue. The details give the error code 0x80070057. Forums I have visited don't address the code as it relates to troubleshooting.
I am using windows 7 ultimate x64 on my hp laptop. Since a month, I cannot open wmplayer. if i go to mp3 song and hit play. it tell me server execution error. Also, I cannot start 32 bit or regular internet explorer. I can open x64 internet explorer. I already try to install and uninstall wmp by using control panel .but, it is not working.
A couple of months ago, I bought a new graphics card: a Nvidia 560GTX (Gigabyte GV-NV56GOC) and a new PSU (Corsair CX500 V2 Builder Series, 500 W) to run it and after 3 weeks the PC began to fail with the 116 error. At the begining it crashed only at Windows 7 blue starting screen (after the loading screen with win logo and a progress bar). It happened once every 4 or 5 days. After a month it was almost imposible to run unless starting in "FailSafe Mode" and began to crash in the desktop in idle. I tested it with another drivers, clean installs, changing cabes, etc... and nothing worked, only with another graphics card (an old nvidia 220GT wich came with the PC) and worked properly so I decided so send the card in RMA.
A couple of days ago the seller sent me an email saying that they couldn't find any issue with the 560GTX and they sent the card to Gigabyte to further testing (I wil have to wait 20-30 days to have more info). Yesterday my PC with the old card (the 220GT) began to fail while playing Skyrim with a grey screen and a strange buzz in the speakers. After 2 seconds it restarts saying that there was an system error bccode 116. Today it has crashed 4 times in 5 hours while playing (same as yesterday), "youtubbing" or (I think, but not sure than) in idle with a white screen and a strange buzz in the speakers, but not starting like with the 560GTX.
I had to change my HDD a month ago too so I tested in 2 diferent HDDs, drivers are OK and I guess that the PSU is enough for the new card and more than enough with the old one. I also ran sfc.exe /scannow witho no problems.I'm running Windows Home Premium x64 (Service Pack 1) OEM, reinstalled one or 2 months ago. I will attach minidump files with errors of both cards.
I have a Dell Inspiron 14 that I bought last April. The hard drive crashed before Christmas and I had to send it to Dell of replacement. Obviously all other software applications on the computer were gone when we got the computer back from Dell. I have since reinstalled all software using my last license to do so. Now I am having major issues with internet explorer giving me an "Object Error" on some websites. All indications I have to reinstall windows 7. How do I do this and not loose all of my other applications that are on this computer?
I am running Windows 7 32bit on Biostar TH67B mobo. I have a 1 tb E: drive and a 500 gb drive split into two partitions C: and D:, one of which is 30 gigs C: that I keep my operating system on. I have this partition set up for os use only, and have directed everything else to my E: drive. This setup was working well, but I noticed that my installed games and some other programs were still directing their saves and other info to my C: documents folder and that partition was filling up fast. Seemed simple enough to just windows point these programs to use the documents folder on my E: drive. After doing that, everything continued to work well. Until I rebooted the pc. Now, I'm getting "Access violation at address 00404BFE in module 'BiosNotice.exe'. Read of address 00000000." I wasn't able to find anything about what this error means other than to just set the program to not run on startup. Which imo, hides the problem, not fixing it.
On the bottom right of the desktop on Windows 76, the notification icon for internet usually shows the disconnected icon or the no access icon. I'm still connected to the internet though and when I click on the icon, it opens up to show my connection (that is working). Why is it doing this? I've tried googling it, no use. It's not really a big deal, but knowing if I'm connected without having to click on the icon is nice.
I sometimes get a script error when getting data from web when using Excel 2010.
This seems to depend on the ISP I'm using as I can take the laptop into some Wifi enabled Cafe's and EXCEL gets the data without the error popup.
Since I like to run some of these as background queries (updating Stock prices for instance) is there any way to skip or supress the popup. I've just about tried every possible option both in OFFICE and IE.
I have just installed just cause 2 game on my computer, I have copied the cracks successfully but whenever I start the game it does not respond and a popup window comes and it shows error. How to run it...
