I am on my work place computer but my home computer is getting an error 651 WAN message and I can't connect to the internet. Have unplugged everything a few times, modem and all and still get the same message. I believe at the time I started getting this message, I was opening up a Walgreens email and was going to delete it and that's when my issues started.
View 1 Repliesperformed a search and couldn't find this, but i am trying to connect a new second monitor via dvi d dual link cable, however i get an error message that ccc cannot support two monitors from different graphic engines, the other monitor is connected via hmdi.
i was under the impression that dvi d and hmdi would work together from the graphics card, but this appears not to be the case. I can have them both running via hmdi/dvi i or dvi d and dvi i but not hmdi dvi d.
i downloaded a trial progran and deleted it, then i had problems with windows, booted eventually after 6 minutes but no internet and i get this error message, windows cannot connect to systen event services,log in as admin and check what services fail to load, but it wont even do that. my system restore has also been disabled etc. i tried a repair but no joy, so i tried an upgrade but, because the installed version on the PC is newer than the CD version it wont do the upgrade. i am trying to avoid a clean install. how can i get past the "you have a newer version of windows" and do the upgrade,

Now I cannot open Outlook, Word, iTunes etc. When I do try to open these programs, I get a message saying "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Office Small Business 2007", but it doesnt seem to do anything. I've run a diagnostic (F12) and was alerted of the following error :Error Code 0142, Msg Error Code 2000-0142, Status 79. The system is extremely slow and I can only stay logged onto an IE page for a few minutes before it has to shut down. My system just restarted (not sure why) and after the start up I got this error message "An error occurred in the program. Try to open it again. If this problem continues, you'll need to reinstall Microsoft Security Client. Error Code: 0x80040154". I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell Studio.

I replaced it with my old Windows XP IE8 and used Hotmail as my email client which I still want to use on my new Windows 7 Computer. However; when I click on the read mail icon in IE8, on my new Windows 7 PC, I get a popup error message saying "Cannot perform operation because the Default Mail Client is not properly installed."
I have been having a problem with connecting to Wifi signals ever since this RunDLL error message has started popping up when I restart my computer. When I plug in an Ethernet cord I can connect to the internet but I can't connect to Wifi signals. I'm figuring there are some files missing by what these error messages are telling me.

The ethernet cable is plugged in and it works (it can connect to the internet fine on the mac partition) but when I am on Windows 7 it cannot detect that I am connected to the internet. I have tried unplugging and replugging and restarting but it still doesn't work. When I troubleshoot, it says: Install a driver for your network adapter. But I am using the DSL-G604T and on its website it says it doesn't need drivers.

This morning when starting up my pc I got the error message "Failed to connect to a windows service" In addition it has defaulted to windows classic theme and I can not re enable Aero.
I looked at the Event log but it is simply beyond my level of understanding how to address the errors. Also all errors shown seem to be relativity longstanding/ recurring.
i recieved my new lenovo z570 ideapad yesterday...i'll just put some of the spec down incase you want to know.

anyway, after charging it up and turning it on, i started to install programmes and other bits and bobs. e.g ituens, flash player. just the usual essentials. i used the laptop to watch videos on Internet, genenral browing such as facebook, so in short, the internet was working fine. just before i went to bed that night i installed avg security (free version) and ran a full scan. when the scan finished, i put the laptop into hibernate, and went to sleep! happy in the knowledge my new gizmo was running smoothly!
just before i woke up i heard the laptop turn off as it had run out of charge. so i plugged it in and charged it up, then turned it on. this is where the problem starts...i connected via wifi however the logo at the bottom right of the screen showed the signal strength meter on empty, with a yellow star covering it. i clicked the icon, and it said, 'not connected, connections are available' and below shows im connected with 5/5 signal strength, but on 'limited access'.
1) there might be a problem with the driver for the local area connection adapter
2)there might be a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection adapter
there are 28 updates, but im unable to update them as i have no internet connection. i also cant connect via the ethernet cable.i cant roll back the drivers as there are no previously installed ones, and i cant update them as i am already up to date.my other laptop (acer aspire 5630 running on vista) works perfectly fine using wifi and the ethernet cable, so i honestly dont know whats wrong. after reading things on my acer about ways to fix the problem i came to the decision to restore the laptop to the time of my first installation which was adobe flash player (which i installed the day before.) i was unable to do a full factory reset as the only options available are to either restore to a backup, or re-install windows (which requires a disc, which i dont have). i also didnt configure a backup as i had only had the laptop a day!
This is a problem that has probably been solved but I have spent some time looking for the solution without success.
Windows 7 (6.1.7100 build 7100) indicates that I have no Internet connection in spite of the fact that I can browse without any problems (see attached image).
Mostly this is not a problem except that I want to connect to an external server to upload files. Normally I use map network drive for this. When I attempt this, I fail because it doesn't see the Internet connection.
I have tried the following solutions which haven't worked
Disabling link scanning in AVG Disabling all other network connections
The Hotmail message "We can't connect to Hotmail right now. Please make sure that you're connected to the internet and try again." seems to appear all the time. Is this caused by poor internet speed, because I've got that, or is it something with google chrome, the browser I'm using? When I'm using the Hotmail mailbox it seems to work okay, but this message appears, seems like, every time I use it. It's mainly annoying since I can't understand the cause of why it appears. If I'm not really noticing a problem while accessing Hotmail, why does this message appear so frequently?

I'm using a Dell Insprion 1545 and Win7 32-bit. I never had this issue before, jut popped up when I tried using ICS on a different laptop, an IBM thinkpad T42 also using Win7 and connected to the same network via wifi. So anyway. Some time ago SP1 launched for Windows 7. I installed but it but something went it wrong and it didn't install correcly and then i was forced to use System restore. Everything worked and i haven't used SP1 because i don't want to risk screwing up my computer before some important things, i got plenty of time later for that . View 2 Replies View RelatedI am fixing my mom's cousin's laptop Dell Inspiron 1750, which is unable to access the internet. This system runs Windows 7 and can't connect to any router wirelessly. The ethernet port on the laptop also has some bent pins in it, so it can't connect through wire either. The first thing I did when I looked at this computer was connect it to my wireless router and I got the limited connectivity symbol in the taskbar. So I tried to ping and did ipconfig /release and /renew in cmd and that didn't work. I also did a /flushdns and that didn't work. So I went into the internet options and checked if the DNS setting were set to acquire automatically and they are. I have also uninstalled the dell wireless utility as I find it bloatware and unnecessary. I uninstalled the WLAN driver and reinstalled it and that didn't do anything. I then went into safe mode with networking and discovered that I was able to connect wirelessly there. So i figured it could have been the antiviruses (McAfee) firewall or malware of some kind. I downloaded malwarebytes and scanned and found nothing so I uninstalled malwarebytes and so I figured it was McAfee.
