thats the default name of the folder where i keep all my saved bookmarks. i sorted everything so that it sorts alphabetically (when i go through the steps inside "show all bookmarks") but when i check it in my browser, it doesnt sort.
View 1 RepliesImport bookmarks to Chrome, zoom they are right on the bookmarks bar. Same with FF. I can update them in 20 seconds. With IE, I have to import to favorites bar and then rearrange them alphabetically. I use Chrome and FF, but IE9 more. And this is just a killer, as I am always adding bookmarks.

I have a folder for every artist, and in those folders there�s a folder for each album. The only thing on this hard drive is music. In Windows XP, I could sort by name and show in groups. This way everything was kept alphabetical, all the �A� bands were under �A �, all the �B� bands were under �B�� With Windows 7 I get gigantic chunks of A-H, I-P and Q-Z. I have over nearly 600 folders on this drive. Grouping all those folders into 3 giant blocks is nothing short of useless. Is there any way at all to sort like XP?
View 4 Replies View RelatedReformatted & added Win 7 to #2 PC. I imported "my Favorites" from internet explorer by FF browser, bookmarks > Import & Backup. The favorites from i.e. were mostly held in 20 folders with sub folders then the rest, loose individual sites. The entire list - folders & loose sites now appear in the Private folder config: START > AaLF personal folder > Favorites. But in the firefox browser, I now see only half the folders from i.e. and also not the loose individual sites. How do I get My Personal Folder Favorites into FF's Bookmarks for easy use??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had to do a system restore to a prior point (two days ago) to fix a problem on a windows 7 dell PC. It worked but it moved all of my files and user profile to my C drive. I no longer see my user account when I go to start computer. I did find my files (at least some of them) under the c drive in C/OS/Users. Is there a way to automatically get them all back where they orginally were rather than attempt to manually move them and hope I'm placing them in the correct area? I also seem to have lost all of my bookmarks and cannot recover them on Firefox - is there any way to get them back?

My partner has to move her machine to windows 7, from vista business.What would be the best way to prepare? Files and settings transfer or? Should I backup somehow the files and other important things like bookmarks and windows mail folder, to a usb hdd?

Now, it does sort by name but not if i don't click refresh or navigating to another folder and coming back to that directory.I've set it to sort by name. Is there something that's missing?

With Windows XP, the images would stay in order as I added them, but with Windows 7 they are always in order of the image name. I have tried using the different sort by date options, but they are always sorted by the image name (which is a 5 digit number). How can I sort them by the date I add them to the folder?

cut, copy paste, delete etc. I am really lacking the delete function button. Its just too much work to right click, scroll down and delete what I want to.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe last hour I was organizing all my bookmarks on Firefox 5 into folders and sub- folders.I had to do a lot of copying and pasting, and I noticed firefox was not responding everytime I copied or pasted.for example I was copying and pasting folder with thousands of bookmarks(2000-12K)And it wasn't fast! I am quite disappointed with the performance. Not only that, but after I finished copying when I selected one of the bookmarks in the folder, it was not responsive for a few seconds.copying, pasting, and selecting took between 10s to 1m!!!
