View 9 Replies View RelatedMy laptop machine is MacBook Air which is configured to be a dual boot system for Mac OS X and Windows 7. I installed Mozilla Firefox on both OSes. My question is if there is a way to let the two FFoxes share a common bookmarks file so that either one can update the file.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the transfer key from the old computer and entered it into the new computer to start the transfer over the network. The transfer started and it says it will take over a day to completer.I was expecting somewhere along the line to be able to select which files and settings to transfer. I never saw anything like that.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI had to do a system restore to a prior point (two days ago) to fix a problem on a windows 7 dell PC. It worked but it moved all of my files and user profile to my C drive. I no longer see my user account when I go to start computer. I did find my files (at least some of them) under the c drive in C/OS/Users. Is there a way to automatically get them all back where they orginally were rather than attempt to manually move them and hope I'm placing them in the correct area? I also seem to have lost all of my bookmarks and cannot recover them on Firefox - is there any way to get them back?

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe last hour I was organizing all my bookmarks on Firefox 5 into folders and sub- folders.I had to do a lot of copying and pasting, and I noticed firefox was not responding everytime I copied or pasted.for example I was copying and pasting folder with thousands of bookmarks(2000-12K)And it wasn't fast! I am quite disappointed with the performance. Not only that, but after I finished copying when I selected one of the bookmarks in the folder, it was not responsive for a few seconds.copying, pasting, and selecting took between 10s to 1m!!! This is a lot of time to wait just to move bookmarks around!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am running windows 7 (64bit) IE 8. Now for some unknown reason to me when I click on my favorites tab it's showing programs instead of my favorites. All my bookmarks are still in my fav folder but I don't understand how this has happened.
View 1 Replies View RelatedImport bookmarks to Chrome, zoom they are right on the bookmarks bar. Same with FF. I can update them in 20 seconds. With IE, I have to import to favorites bar and then rearrange them alphabetically. I use Chrome and FF, but IE9 more. And this is just a killer, as I am always adding bookmarks.
View 9 Replies View RelatedUsing Win 7 x64 and Firefox 4 with a Dell 23.5" LCD monitor, I randomly see Firefox bookmarks (1 or 2 bookmarks) appearing in the area at the bottom of the screen where the Firefox add-ons are shown (one add-on currently - "Ad Block Plus" - so the red stop sign shows) and blending into the taskbar/quick launch tool bar. These random bookmarks show up about centered on the width of the screen. If I click anywhere in the Taskbar/quick launch tool bar, the shown bookmarks vanish.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis started about 3 days ago, and I'm not sure how. I've run Spybot, AVG and other programs, but nothing seems to stop it.Whenever I click on a link in my bookmarks, it gets deleted in the folder almost automatically afterwards. The bookmarks that get deleted seem to happen at random. When I replaced the bookmarks and clicked them again, sometimes they are fine while others that survived the first round get erased, while some bookmarks remain untouched. This happens to bookmarks in completely different folders, and my history seems to have been left untouched.

View 3 Replies View RelatedReformatted & added Win 7 to #2 PC. I imported "my Favorites" from internet explorer by FF browser, bookmarks > Import & Backup. The favorites from i.e. were mostly held in 20 folders with sub folders then the rest, loose individual sites. The entire list - folders & loose sites now appear in the Private folder config: START > AaLF personal folder > Favorites. But in the firefox browser, I now see only half the folders from i.e. and also not the loose individual sites. How do I get My Personal Folder Favorites into FF's Bookmarks for easy use??

View 1 Replies View RelatedSuddenly, whenever I copy anything in Word 07, the copied text is bracketed with square brackets. They are gray color, and they are not reflected in the clipboard contents, so I believe they are non-printing characters.I have never had this happen before, and can't figure out what is going on.This occurs when using the mouse or CTRL-c to copy. It shows in Print, outline, and Web views.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI updated firefox to the newest version (11.0) and it asked me to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer, but I only used internet explorer once (to install firefox when I first got my computer, the only thing IE is good for) and I dont have any bookmarks in IE anyway. So when firefox started all my previous bookmarks got deleted. I can not remember the majority of the websites addresses and I need some of them for research papers and school work. Is there any way to recover the bookmarks or am I screwed?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOK, so a couple of days ago, my HP desktop crashed and then went through the whole System Recovery loop(I couldn't login to Safe mode, wouldn't let me past the System Recovery Screen). Well I backed up the entire C drive using Backup your files in the menu. Then it shows you all the file types it will back up; i.e photos, videos, e-mails and bookmarks. So I did that to an external hard drive and it comes out to 143GB.Now comes my problem. I've been able to copy everything from the external hard drive using RecoveryMgr.exe which opens the WIM files and saves them to my C: hard drive under System Recovery Files. However it does not seem to work when it comes to putting in my old Thunderbird e-mails, contacts and such or in Firefox to restore my bookmarks, saved passwords.

4.This process failed and "Folder Lock" shut down and since then I cannot locate the locker anymore on my PC nor can I see it in "Folder Protect"
5.Having read on a forum, I uninstalled "Folder Protect" and reinstalled...but that did not help..I still could not find the Locker.
6.I even uninstalled and reinstalled "Folder Lock"...even this did not help
7.I understand the lockers created by "Folder Lock" are UNDELETABLE.
8.Clearly my locker is somewhere on my hard disk but I am unable to locate it.
