I have windows 7 firefox. I cannot manage my booksmarks. They say to go up to bookmarks and pick "manage bookmarks". I don't have that option. I try making a folder and moving links into them and they won't work.
I have windows 7 firefox with yahoo. I am trying to cleanit up but it won't work. I make anew file and then try to put the single things in there and it wont work
the last hour I was organizing all my bookmarks on Firefox 5 into folders and sub- folders.I had to do a lot of copying and pasting, and I noticed firefox was not responding everytime I copied or pasted.for example I was copying and pasting folder with thousands of bookmarks(2000-12K)And it wasn't fast! I am quite disappointed with the performance. Not only that, but after I finished copying when I selected one of the bookmarks in the folder, it was not responsive for a few seconds.copying, pasting, and selecting took between 10s to 1m!!! This is a lot of time to wait just to move bookmarks around!
How to detect duplicate bookmarks in Firefox, Chrome? I try this Firefox add-ons (Bookmark Duplicate Detector 0.7.5) but its not support Firefox 4.0.1.
Reformatted & added Win 7 to #2 PC. I imported "my Favorites" from internet explorer by FF browser, bookmarks > Import & Backup. The favorites from i.e. were mostly held in 20 folders with sub folders then the rest, loose individual sites. The entire list - folders & loose sites now appear in the Private folder config: START > AaLF personal folder > Favorites. But in the firefox browser, I now see only half the folders from i.e. and also not the loose individual sites. How do I get My Personal Folder Favorites into FF's Bookmarks for easy use??
I updated firefox to the newest version (11.0) and it asked me to import bookmarks from Internet Explorer, but I only used internet explorer once (to install firefox when I first got my computer, the only thing IE is good for) and I dont have any bookmarks in IE anyway. So when firefox started all my previous bookmarks got deleted. I can not remember the majority of the websites addresses and I need some of them for research papers and school work. Is there any way to recover the bookmarks or am I screwed?
My two min browsers at the moment are waterfox & chrome..As the title says, Im on a x64 version of Windows 7.Has anyone any advice for me on the best versions of Firefox/Builds of Firefox for a x64 windows?same with Google chrome.
My laptop machine is MacBook Air which is configured to be a dual boot system for Mac OS X and Windows 7. I installed Mozilla Firefox on both OSes. My question is if there is a way to let the two FFoxes share a common bookmarks file so that either one can update the file.
I got the transfer key from the old computer and entered it into the new computer to start the transfer over the network. The transfer started and it says it will take over a day to completer.I was expecting somewhere along the line to be able to select which files and settings to transfer. I never saw anything like that.
I had to do a system restore to a prior point (two days ago) to fix a problem on a windows 7 dell PC. It worked but it moved all of my files and user profile to my C drive. I no longer see my user account when I go to start computer. I did find my files (at least some of them) under the c drive in C/OS/Users. Is there a way to automatically get them all back where they orginally were rather than attempt to manually move them and hope I'm placing them in the correct area? I also seem to have lost all of my bookmarks and cannot recover them on Firefox - is there any way to get them back?

My partner has to move her machine to windows 7, from vista business. What would be the best way to prepare? Files and settings transfer or? Should I backup somehow the files and other important things like bookmarks and windows mail folder, to a usb hdd?
I built a new computer.I wanted it to be more reliable. So, I got two identical hard drives. I installed Win 7 Pro as one big C: partition. Then I converted to dynamic disks and mirrored the first disk onto the second disk. Everything works! I even gave it a test. I powered off, and disconnected the SATA cable on the first hard disk. Windows booted right up, off the second HD. Great! It seems the mirroring works and can tolerate a missing disk.(I had to rebuild the mirror after doing this test.)I have some questions about how this will work over the long term. I noticed that when the first hard drive was missing from the mirror Windows never gave an error message. How would I detect a failing or failed hard drive? This is important, I think. How does Windows deal with a bad read on one hard drive in a two drive mirror? Say if one disk reads correctly, but the second disk reads a bad sector, how does Windows know what is the correct data?I found that Windows gives a text mode menu when I first boot up the computer. It wants me to select which Windows I will boot: the first hard drive or the second "Plex". Is there a way to set a default, so it will always boot the first instance of Windows without user intervention? Or would this defeat the mirroring function in the case of a bad hard drive?
I've got a Dell laptop that has to be returned for a refund and I was wondering how to transfer my bookmarks over to a thumbdrive? I want to have them ready so I can put them on my new laptop when I decide what I'm getting.
My IE9 won't save my favorites/bookmarks? How do I fix that? I called MS and they took control but still I don't have favorites or bookmarks. What do I do? Can I go back to IE8? How?
This is my first build so please excuse any greenhorn stuff... My week old ASRock Z68 PROFESSIONAL GEN3 has SM Bus Manager/Controller errors. Just did a fresh build and installed WIN7 64 bit three days ago. Got around to getting other software installed as time allowed at night. Something gave an error alert today and I went checking at device manager to see what it was.
I recently got Test Drive Unlimited 2 on my Dell XPS 17 and its ridiculous how I can only manage to get 15 FPS in the game. The game lags so much even if I change the graphics to the lowest settings. I checked if my laptop could run this game on Can You RUN It | Can I run that game | Game system requirements and i passed the recommend settings aswelll but I can't seem to be getting more than 15 FPS. [code]
When I right click computer and select manage I get an error "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel."
I am not sure how it got unassociated with it but like to find a fix for it. I can got the system32 directory and run it from there but would like it to work from My Computer.
I have noticed that my laptop gets hot when i run programs that use alot of gpu memory even after i close them I wanted to know how do i see what services or processes or even programs and or anything else that may be useing gpu resources on my computer
I have been using my Acer laptop for the past 2 odd years with a single partition (288GB). Now I wanna manage some stuff, mainly to classify things better and also hopefully to boost the performance of my system as everything getting cramped up in a single partition isn't the best thing to do, isn't it?
I am running windows 7 (64bit) IE 8. Now for some unknown reason to me when I click on my favorites tab it's showing programs instead of my favorites. All my bookmarks are still in my fav folder but I don't understand how this has happened.
Import bookmarks to Chrome, zoom they are right on the bookmarks bar. Same with FF. I can update them in 20 seconds. With IE, I have to import to favorites bar and then rearrange them alphabetically. I use Chrome and FF, but IE9 more. And this is just a killer, as I am always adding bookmarks.
