Import bookmarks to Chrome, zoom they are right on the bookmarks bar. Same with FF. I can update them in 20 seconds. With IE, I have to import to favorites bar and then rearrange them alphabetically. I use Chrome and FF, but IE9 more. And this is just a killer, as I am always adding bookmarks.

thats the default name of the folder where i keep all my saved bookmarks. i sorted everything so that it sorts alphabetically (when i go through the steps inside "show all bookmarks") but when i check it in my browser, it doesnt sort.

View 7 Replies View RelatedLike I said in the subject, the desktop icons rearrange themselves every other reboot. Not every time, but occasionally and quite often, often enough to annoy me.
I have a 30" screen 2560x1600 and I keep a lot of icons on the desktop. I have to keep arranging them.
All settings are configured correctly. In Personalize>Desktop Icons - auto arrange icons is unchecked. The OS restarts correctly so I'm not sure what is causing this problem, but it's getting on my nerves.
I was going to restore my netbook OS back to XP from Windows 7 (The fancy looks aren't worth the trouble) and I found I had apparently deleted my XP restore file. So I decided to stick with Windows 7 for awhile.One irritating feature was that my files and folders within a folder were not in alphabetical order.It took me 30 min of messing around to finally alphabetize one folder and apply that to all folders

I have a folder for every artist, and in those folders there�s a folder for each album. The only thing on this hard drive is music. In Windows XP, I could sort by name and show in groups. This way everything was kept alphabetical, all the �A� bands were under �A �, all the �B� bands were under �B�� With Windows 7 I get gigantic chunks of A-H, I-P and Q-Z. I have over nearly 600 folders on this drive. Grouping all those folders into 3 giant blocks is nothing short of useless. Is there any way at all to sort like XP?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn regards to the order of the program buttons on the task bar, is there a way to get Win7 to put the buttons in order of the way the programs are opened and not rearrange them? For example, I usually have my mailbox and my web browser open. (Nothing pinned to the task bar.) Mail is on the far left, browser is directly to the right of mail. If I go into mail and open an item in my inbox, I would expect (and like) the new task that shows in the task bar to be positioned to the right of the Browser button. Instead, it inserts itself to the right of Mail and pushes the Browser button to the right.

View 1 Replies View Relatedthe last hour I was organizing all my bookmarks on Firefox 5 into folders and sub- folders.I had to do a lot of copying and pasting, and I noticed firefox was not responding everytime I copied or pasted.for example I was copying and pasting folder with thousands of bookmarks(2000-12K)And it wasn't fast! I am quite disappointed with the performance. Not only that, but after I finished copying when I selected one of the bookmarks in the folder, it was not responsive for a few seconds.copying, pasting, and selecting took between 10s to 1m!!! I've run Spybot, AVG and other programs, but nothing seems to stop it.Whenever I click on a link in my bookmarks, it gets deleted in the folder almost automatically afterwards. The bookmarks that get deleted seem to happen at random. When I replaced the bookmarks and clicked them again, sometimes they are fine while others that survived the first round get erased, while some bookmarks remain untouched. This happens to bookmarks in completely different folders, and my history seems to have been left untouched.

The favorites from i.e. were mostly held in 20 folders with sub folders then the rest, loose individual sites. The entire list - folders & loose sites now appear in the Private folder config: START > AaLF personal folder > Favorites. But in the firefox browser, I now see only half the folders from i.e. and also not the loose individual sites. How do I get My Personal Folder Favorites into FF's Bookmarks for easy use??

They are gray color, and they are not reflected in the clipboard contents, so I believe they are non-printing characters.I have never had this happen before, and can't figure out what is going on.This occurs when using the mouse or CTRL-c to copy. It shows in Print, outline, and Web views.
