Wireless Mouse Freezes Up Occasionally?
Dec 15, 2012Why does my wireless mouse freeze up occasionally?
View 1 RepliesWhy does my wireless mouse freeze up occasionally?
View 1 RepliesIt started yesterday: in an online game, after a couple of games I suddenly got some short freezes (half a sec, never longer) in which the sound goes like a machine gun, if you understand me. This was the first instance and since then it occasionally happens in that game. Nothing weird with that, just lag. That's what I thought. But today I started an offline-only game that has always worked perfectly (in fact, it's an old game, so very low system specs), and I got the same issue!
So, it seems I have a freeze issue suddenly, only appearing in games (haven't experienced freezes anywhere else). Note that it isn't exactly a freeze. Say I move my mouse and the freeze issue happens (still moving my mouse, but the arrow doesn't move), after the freeze my mouse arrow teleports to the spot it would've been in if the game hadn't frozen for that instant. In an actual freeze it wouldn't record where I'd move my mouse, would it?
Specs:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHz 4GB RAM
Videocard: AMD Radeon HD 6670, fully updated
While I was writing this, I noticed the PC showed a problem. I let it do its thing, and it reports a video hardware error. I DO NOT know if this is related to the problem, but regardless, I've attached the 3 files (in a zip) Windows showed me, in case it's relevant.
My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag
View 9 Replies View RelatedLately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using Windows 7 for few weeks already and now mouse started freezing for few seconds pretty often. After mouse unstucks, there is a sound like new devise is plugged in. I was trying to search any solutions @ google, but couldnt find any, except that other people also have same problem (mainly on windows vista). Im using simple USB mouse, tried to update various drivers but says that they are all up to date.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi've been experiencing some issues with mouse and keyboard lately. Both of them randomly freezes for a couple of seconds and then just come back normal. Anyway, i tried to ignore this for a couple of days but now when they freeze, they won't come back and i have to reboot the computer manually.I've tried starting windows through safe mode. It still freezed but for a second this time. I'd be so glad if you guys could show me to fix this problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI performed a system recovery and now when windows starts up the mouse works for a few seconds and then freezes. Can't do anything but force shut down. Mouse works fine in safe mode.

View 7 Replies View RelatedOver the night I turn off my Windows 7 computer. Some mornings, when I turn it on, the pc boots normally but the cursor is frozen on the desktop. The mouse itself is lighten up and seems ready to be used. That happens at random and force me to reboot once or twice to get it working. There is no virus. The mouse is a Logitech using a Windows 7 driver.
[code]...
It really would be nice to know which driver. Can I blindly assume this to be mouse/keyboard related and that in lieu of deleting a driver I can simply install the latest Logitech drivers?
Please understand that my Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit w/SP1 is installed on a new Intel X25M SSD so I am not real eager to wipe the SSD and do a reinstall of Win 7 w/out SP1 (as I have been advised elsewhere)
Mouse Freezes for 1-2 seconds then resumes?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSometimes for apparently no reason at all my mouse cursor will just freeze for a couple seconds and I won't be able to move it. When this happens (I have Process Explorer minimized to tray) I can see that just about no CPU is being taken up either. So I know that this freeze isn't because my processor is being overworked. Also, it's not because I'm opening a program or anything, hence it is seemingly very random. Is there any reason why the mouse should randomly freeze from time to time when nothing that major is happening on the system?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've tried my mouse on another computer, it works flawlessly. But it seems like my computer is hating my mouse, it will suddenly freeze with no reason, i have to plug it out and back in to get it back to work but for maybe for few seconds to few minutes, it might freeze again. When i removed all razer driver, my mouse goes back to normal, but why do i have to use without Razer Synapse while i'm having a razer mouse? wtf?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt freezes, and sometimes when I wake it from sleep mode, the monitor light just blinks on and off but the monitor itself does not come on. I look at my mouse and keyboard, which are illuminated and notice there is no light meaning they are not detected by my tower. I try many ports and still no response. I reboot my PC a few times, then it works. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from 32 bit Windows 7 to 64 bit Windows 7, and I've been having problems with it. After a while, a program would freeze, then everything else would freeze. I have checked for viruses, chkdsk, sfc /scannow, memtest86+, defragged updated my graphics drivers, etc, until I finally re-installed. The problem still persists, but it's not as dominant, but it is preventing me from working properly. I feel it's kinda obvious that something is activating it (but still random) but I don't know what.
Here is my System info:

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an HP desktop x64, win 7 32 i just did a factory restore 2 day ago but, I still have 1 of the problems I had before; the mouse on my computer will freeze for like 20 sec and sometimes causing the system to crash. Yesterday, it shut down on me and a blue screen popped up it said something about the drivers or bios but, I checked the maintenance and it said everything passed (good).

The keyboard is active and using the arrows I can send signal through the VGA port. The same happens with Fn + F7 shortcut.Has to do anything with the resolution ?Is there any short-cut to re-enable the mouse if it is somehow disabled ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedLately I have problems with my pc, sometimes the windows blocks/freeze and I must restart from the button; this happens like 1 time in 3 hours or 1 time in 7 days, it's random. The image freeze even if the pc is in idle. I have found another problem, the mouse cursor freeze for 2 sec (the image doesn't freeze, only the cursor), and after it's coming back to normal. I tried with several mouse's. I tried with another HDD and I have the same problem..
PC config:
cpu: i5 750 2.66
gpu: msi gtx 460 hawk
mobo: asrock p55 pro/usb3.0

hdd: Samsung 250 GB SATA-II 7200RPM 16MB SpinPoint F1
psu: AntecBasiq Power 550W
I did reinstall the windows, update drivers and bios update, cleared cmos, tested the RAM with memtest86 (no errors).
I got a new machine recently and it all works fine, except the operating system seems to randomly freeze. When it does the only way I have found to get out of it is to manually plug it out and restartOn freeze the keyboard and mouse become entirely unresponsive, the cursor does not move, nor do either click buttons do anything, if I'm typing somewhere the text does not appear, and Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't bring up the usual screenI'm running windows 7 home premium on a 64 bit machine. I haven't found anything quite like this problem around so I thought it deserved a new topic by itselfI can't think of what to do to determine the cause or any potential solution. Everything's up to date. I think all the drivers are too. I put in different virus software 'cause I thought that might be itdit: The last time it happened I tried putting the keyboard and mouse into different USB ports, but that didn't work.Edit2: I just went to my device manager and manually checked for updates for all the drivers, and it turned out my graphics card needed an update (I updated it myself about three weeks ago so I discarded this as a potential problem). So I installed the update.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am presently using a Logitech Trackball mouse. It has a cable and is connected to one of my computer's USB 2 ports. I started using it when my cordless Trackball suddenly "died". It just froze in the middle of my monitor and every attempt to revive it failed. Googling for a solution only led me to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing this tragedy. The Logitech forum is literally full of complains concerning the Trackball.
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust got windows 7 on my computer. Was running windows xp before. Ive been using the mouse i am now for over a year with no problems. Now since i went to windows 7, it often stutters when doing anything on my computer. The stutters usually are about a second long and are completely random. I could be playing a game, browsing the web, or anything else and it will stutter. When it does stutter, i do hear the "bu-dum" sound as if it was being disconnected/reconnected instantly. Sometimes the stutters dont happen for an hour, sometimes i get 5 within 15 seconds. I've tried installing drivers and what not.
