Sudden Short Freezes - Occasionally Happens While Playing Game
Oct 20, 2011It started yesterday: in an online game, after a couple of games I suddenly got some short freezes (half a sec, never longer) in which the sound goes like a machine gun, if you understand me. This was the first instance and since then it occasionally happens in that game. Nothing weird with that, just lag. That's what I thought. But today I started an offline-only game that has always worked perfectly (in fact, it's an old game, so very low system specs), and I got the same issue!
So, it seems I have a freeze issue suddenly, only appearing in games (haven't experienced freezes anywhere else). Note that it isn't exactly a freeze. Say I move my mouse and the freeze issue happens (still moving my mouse, but the arrow doesn't move), after the freeze my mouse arrow teleports to the spot it would've been in if the game hadn't frozen for that instant. In an actual freeze it wouldn't record where I'd move my mouse, would it?

Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, fully updated
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.01 GHz 4GB RAM
Videocard: AMD Radeon HD 6670, fully updated
While I was writing this, I noticed the PC showed a problem. I let it do its thing, and it reports a video hardware error. I DO NOT know if this is related to the problem, but regardless, I've attached the 3 files (in a zip) Windows showed me, in case it's relevant.

Jun 24, 2012My computer qwill freeze for a few seconds followed by system lag which seems to get worse (freezing every few seconds/taking 2 seconds to recognise a click etc.). If i reset my computer it resolves the issue but i was hoping you guys may be able to give me more insight as to what the issue may be.It nearly always happens when i am browsing in firefox. Have never had it happen to me during gaming etc. which is why i'm hesitant to believe it is to do with my GPU or it's drivers which are always kept up to date.i have included pics of the cursor and what processes were running at the time of the freeze/lag

Sep 19, 2012Lately I have been having an annoying problem with my wireless mouse. For some reason the pointer will lag, and be very sluggish and jumpy. I've had this mouse on this computer for about a year and I've had no problem. Out of nowhere this problem is happening. I've tried re installing drivers with no luck. I tried uninstalling intellipoint and re-installing it, but when I tried I got the BSOD, and then it completely disabled my mouse and keyboard so I had to use wired peripherals to go in to safe mode and do a system restore. Now everything is working again, except my mouse is still jumpy.

Sep 7, 2012i've been experiencing some issues with mouse and keyboard lately. Both of them randomly freezes for a couple of seconds and then just come back normal. Anyway, i tried to ignore this for a couple of days but now when they freeze, they won't come back and i have to reboot the computer manually.I've tried starting windows through safe mode. The mouse itself is lighten up and seems ready to be used. That happens at random and force me to reboot once or twice to get it working. There is no virus. May 16, 2011It really would be nice to know which driver. Can I blindly assume this to be mouse/keyboard related and that in lieu of deleting a driver I can simply install the latest Logitech drivers?
Please understand that my Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit w/SP1 is installed on a new Intel X25M SSD so I am not real eager to wipe the SSD and do a reinstall of Win 7 w/out SP1 (as I have been advised elsewhere)

Dec 8, 2011Sometimes for apparently no reason at all my mouse cursor will just freeze for a couple seconds and I won't be able to move it. When this happens (I have Process Explorer minimized to tray) I can see that just about no CPU is being taken up either. So I know that this freeze isn't because my processor is being overworked. Also, it's not because I'm opening a program or anything, hence it is seemingly very random. Is there any reason why the mouse should randomly freeze from time to time when nothing that major is happening on the system?

Feb 1, 2013I have upgraded from 32 bit Windows 7 to 64 bit Windows 7, and I've been having problems with it. After a while, a program would freeze, then everything else would freeze. I have checked for viruses, chkdsk, sfc /scannow, memtest86+, defragged updated my graphics drivers, etc, until I finally re-installed. The problem still persists, but it's not as dominant, but it is preventing me from working properly. I feel it's kinda obvious that something is activating it (but still random) but I don't know what.

When it does the only way I have found to get out of it is to manually plug it out and restartOn freeze the keyboard and mouse become entirely unresponsive, the cursor does not move, nor do either click buttons do anything, if I'm typing somewhere the text does not appear, and Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't bring up the usual screenI'm running windows 7 home premium on a 64 bit machine.
