My question is, how do you fix that so the images show like thumbnails? My other systems has that working well...
I'm putting together a slide show of 3D images that I want to show on my TV next week when we have company.I would like the images to stay on the screen a little longer without having to actually create a slide show in some special application like Premiere.
The Slide Show function in Explorer works great if I can control the timing.
is it possible that you can show thumbnails only on images (.jpg, .png, .bmp & .gif) in Windows 7?

If more than 10 explorer windows are open, it shows a list of the complete path to each folder. I find the list much more useful.Is there a setting to change the behavior to always show the list of paths?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot get the thumbnails coming up in explorer on win7 sp1 professional.I have all the .psd, jpeg, .bmp, .cr2, raw and everything else working but not the .PDF.I have tried everything, uninstalled, reinstalled, foxt pdf, x-change pdf and all sorts of thumbnail tweaks you name it, deleted acrobat reg entries etc etc.......I tried the fix created by the pretenciousname person who made a proggy to fix the issue, didnt work.

I am still able to change my cursor, and it works fine, it's just, in the windows explorer the thumbnail of the cursor shows a Photoshop icon. Only the .cur file is affected, the .ani is not.

A person is scanning in PDF documents in large amounts and then using the thumbnail preview wants to be able to rename them from the default scanner assigned name. I have in the taskbar properties "Use small icons", "Group when taskbar is full", and this value changed with regedit: Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktopWindowMetrics] "MinWidth"="40" I want to look like all the icons from Explorer the same, no matter in what folder is at the moment, look like they are all left as the yellow icon entirely. How can I do that?

Under properties/customization I have selected to have them viewed as pictures and videos . I would like to have that option all the time. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have windows 7 home premium 32bit on a pretty fast AMD phenom II x4 with 4gb ram. The problem I ahve is with windows explorer. When I click on a drive, it takes about 5 seconds before it will show me the folders. Then when I click on a folder, I have to wait as a little hourglass-type slider goes across the top of the screen before it will show the contents. This can take anywhere from 2-15 seconds. I don't remember any other windows OS doing this.Is there something I can change to help speed this up? Not sure that it matters, but I checked defrag and most of my drives are less than 5% fragmented - the most being 15%.

I used to be able to have my images come up as thumbnails without having to Right Click > View > Large Icons everytime. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have three computers: one Windows 7 x64, one Windows 7 x86, and XP SP3 on an Asus Eee 1005HA. The Win 7 x86 machine can see all the computers and shares. The XP machine can see all the computers and shares. The Win 7 x64 machine can see the other Win 7 machine but not the XP machine (the XP machine doesn't show up in Windows Explorer). The XP machine can browse the shares on the Win 7 machine.
Any idea why the Win 7 x64 machine can't see the XP machine? Thanks.
P.S. Both Windows 7 machines are running 7100, and all are connecting to each other over a gigabit switch.
I have plenty of images on my computer and always used to see thumbnails; suddenly I only see a placeholder. I have tried Explorer - Organise - Folder and Search Options - View etc.; I also tried Control Panel - System - Advanced System Settings - Performance, but none of those two options works...

Until the PC goes into sleep mode or is rebooted the problem is non-existent. no error messages are displayed and apparently, its not shown on the task manager's PC usage... also virus and spyware scans have shown nothing. I think it is because I recently installed and uninstalled winamp. (thats the only thing I can think of) I cant do system restore because I had it disabled. I've tried reseting the search index, reseting folder options, going under performance and checking the settings there, nothing has changed. I really dont want to have to wipe and reinstall...
Here is a picture if you dont get what Im saying, as you can see in the folders it still displays the album art of the files but the actual mp3 files dont show it. The album art works fine in WMP.

In Win7 Explorer, "Computer" displays twice in left pane. How can I remove one set of drives from showing? I clicked on "Delete" and it seemed to try, but nothing changed.
