Windows 7 64bit - Java Doesn't Want To Load
Aug 31, 2012I have a new build with Windows 7 64 bit. I am trying to install Java. I have downloaded it and tried to load it. I get to the installing Java screen and nothing happens.

Windows 7 64bit Suddenly Doesn't Load Anymore
Sep 20, 2011I had my laptop running last night and I woke up this morning and my computer was frozen. It wasn't the "blue screen of death" as many mention as it was simply frozen but when I turned it back on (and continue to turn it back on) it gets stuck on "Starting Windows" without even proceeding to the Windows login screen. Next, when I launch a "system repair" it goes through the process but freezes in the blue "system repair" screen without even showing anything. Just the blue background sunshine screen and is just stuck there.
Under "Advanced Boot Options" the "Last Known Good Configuration" gives me no luck either. I then try "Safe Mode" and under "Safe Mode with Command Prompt" it freezes while "Loading Windows Files" and the last file/driver it shows is windowssystem32DRIVERSAtiPcie.sys. I have a Windows 7 64-bit boot disc but this is my small laptop which doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. I can use my USB drive if necessary but I attempted to do that but maybe there is some special way I must install it on my USB drive?? Otherwise I am completely stuck.
Java Hangs / Fails To Load In Any Browser
May 25, 2012I'm running Windows 7 x64, JDK 7 U4 and the Java plugin just won't work correctly in any browser, be it IE9, Chrome 19, or Firefox 12. Both the Java installation and the browsers are 32-bit versions. The browsers simply hang or display nothing when a Java applet is supposed to load.I do Java development, so I need the JDK.I have tried everything it seems. Completely removed the JDK and reinstalled it, tried both JDK 7 U3 as well as whatever the latest version of JDK 6 is, tried with just the JRE, but the problem is still the same. I also used a tool called JavaRa to completely remove any remnants of Java before re-installing it.The Java plugin seems to be correctly listed in all browsers (for instance in "about : plugins" in Chrome), with the correct version, too. In Control Panel -> Java, I also have "Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in" enabled.Apart from the browser issue, Java seems to be correctly installed, as I can run "java" or "javac" from a command prompt and it will give the expected output. I am also able to compile Java source files as well as run Java bytecode without issues.A few times I have been able to get it to work in a browser. All of these times were directly after a fresh installation of the JDK/JRE, but then it seems to stop working after a short period of time.

Jun 21, 2011I can't open certain programs, as it says that I don't have the correct java, or its not recognized. I've always had java before, and when I tired to update, it was telling me that it either A. Couldn't do it, or B. It wasn't installed for some kind of error. I've deleted the java, and redownloaded it, and still the same problems. Also, on the automatic updates, its not letting the windows 7 SP1 update either. Maybe has to do with the Java, or vice versa?

Then it gives me an error message saying that you can only do that if it's already installed.I can't find folders of it it's not in the add/remove programs list either.

Computer Upgrade Windows Doesn't Load
Mar 27, 2012So I recently upgraded my motherboard, RAM, and CPU. After doing some quick adjustments in the BIOS, I attempted to load into Windows to make sure everything was correct. Upon the Windows loading up, the logo freezes for a second, a BSOD appears (which I cannot read as it disappears within a fraction of a second) and the computer restarts.I've already gone through a couple of passes using Memtest without any errors, so I think the RAM can be ruled out. I was hoping I could get advice on how to prevent the computer from restarting so I can see the BSOD and further provide information depending on the error.

I installed Windows 7 32-bit yesterday and everything was working fine until I installed catalyst control center, which now causes the system to stay stuck on the blue windows wallpaper without explorer or mouse cursor. I can get to safe mode and perform a system recovery, then I can boot normally. I also tried multiple versions of drivers, but it always does the same thing. Everything worked fine before reinstalling windows and my system specs are exactly the same as they were before.

A new window opens with windows media player embedded in the window but it doesn't do buffering to play. Interestingly, it still showing the title of the previous training that I closed. Can't Install Windows 7 - Not Even Load 64bit DVD
Feb 15, 2013I just can't get the OS installed. I can install 32 bit, but I can't even load a 64 bit DVD. I get the error 0xc0000225, and it says it may be a hardware issue. Then it just keeps boot looping. Also, I can only install 32 bit windows with IOAPIC off.

So far I've tried different browsers, including downgrading from FF4 to a FF3 version. IE8, Chrome, same issues. I have reason to believe that it's within the PC itself, whether it's software or hardware. I'm on my netbook right now running FF4 and don't have the same problems. I've even shut off the firewall and there is no other firewall or anti-virus on the PC.
