i got a problem,everytime i put my pc to sleep,or it automatically sleeps..its crashes in one of the following ways:
1. it restarts,and a nlack screen comes p and ask if to start on safe mode or normal
2. it jus cuts off,all power,everything
I have a new Lenovo machine with Windows 7 preloaded
I normally leave my machine in the 'sleep' option overnight. I then use the mouse to resume Windows 7. On a number of occassions I see a power saving box appear with a countdown and then the Lenovo logo appears on the screen with a Windows 7 recovery panel. I then have to re-boot the machine. I have used the help box that windows provides to 'find the cause' after the reboot, but it does not point the way to resolve the problem. I would guess that this fault appears nearly 30% of the time that I try and resume following the 'sleep' option.
Yesterday 9/26 for most of the day when I put the computer into 'sleep' mode it will stay there. Toward evening it would automatically come back. I tried the steps on sites (especially WiFi check to no avail.

Several days ago I have updated my bios and some drivers, so I suspect that the reason may be some driver.
I have dell latitude e4310 notebook running Win7x64 SP1.
I am totally new to this and am really confused. About maybe a week ago I started having BSOD, plus Windows wouldn't restart after going into Sleepmode, and when I tried to Shut Down it would bring up the shut down screen then just keep "shutting down" with out ever shutting down.
So I read some internet stuff and "Reinstalled Windows 7" and seem to still have the issues.

Now the pc will not post and my monitor claims no signal. No beeps from the Mobo speaker. View 9 Replies View RelatedI have realtek ALC898, part of gigabyte Z77 UD5h mobo, windows 7 ultimate 64bit. Rear jack speakers always work, sound always works. But after sleep, the front panel audio jack does not work, ie headphones silent.
Workaround 1) go to device manager, disable realtek high definition audio, then enable it, then front panel audio jack works properly. workaround 2) restart the computer and it works again.
I tried disabling sleep and using hibernate, since I read somewhere that hibernate is like a restart, but apparently it is not. Using hibernate, once it resumes from hibernate, front jack still doesnt work just like using sleep mode.
It sounds like resuming from sleep mode or hibernate mode, that windows 7 is failing to reinitialize some of the realtek audio drivers, at least those associated with front panel audio jack for headphones. So have to restart or disable/enable realtek high def audio in device manager. I have most recent realtek drivers, tried both from realtek, and most recent from Gigabyte, both have same issue. My windows 7 is fully up to date.
Am I right in this is just failure of 7 to reinitialize some drivers?

windows is checking for a solution to the problem. followed by another box stating windows explorer is restarting. But the requested application never starts. I have run the Ultimate Boot CD 4 Win, replaced the hard drive and cloned all data, run numerous registry scans, malware scans and antivirus scans. Initially removing over 1500 virus/malware hits and over 1400 registry errors. But the main problem persists, explorer.exe won't open programs.

At my wit's end on this one. After a system crash a couple of days ago I found that my audio and wireless were disabled. Tried to restart the services but got error 1053 with wireless and error 1068 with windows audio. Have done the following: Checked for any virus malware: Macafee AV, Malwarebytes, Spysweeper and Sptbot. Nothing found.Tried starting in services on many occasions. Same issue.Installed up to date drivers. Rolled back drivers to original versions. Same problem.Ran troubleshooter in windows 7. Received notices that the services were stopped but could not be fixed.Ran windows fixes from Microsoft site with the same result as W7 troubleshooter.Downloaded copies of dll files and replaced them in win/system 32. Same problem.Ran sfc /scannow found no issues. I have my ASUS backup disk(s) so I can install the OS again but I don't want to lose the software I have already installed.
I purchased a Toshiba Satellite Pro which had Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed from the retailer. It worked perfectly, and I had no problems. However, about 4 days ago, the hard drive failed, and I lost everything. This isn't the problem however. I took the laptop to have a replacement hard drive installed, and all a reinstallation of Windows 7 Home Premium. I received the laptop back a couple of days ago, and I had no problems with set-up. I noticed however, that whenever I try to shut the laptop down, or restart it (to apply changes features, configure updates etc) the entire laptop will become unresponsive on the "Shutting Down..." screen. The little blue circle will stop spinning, and none of the Brightness buttons, Cap Lock etc will function, so I know the whole thing has become unresponsive. This forces me to press and hold the power button everytime I wish to turn the laptop off, which of course is a strain on it. I have scanned the entire thing with MalwareBytes and Microsoft Security Essentials, so I know it isn't a virus of some kind (it wouldn't be anyway, as it was acting in this way before it was even connected to the internet.)
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy computer crashes on shutdown, restart and I suspect hibernate (I think that is what causes them while it sits idle). It was more broken yesterday than it is now, as I have seemingly solved some of the problems. I have included some history below, just in case it's useful.I got back from a trip (4 month exchange) and installed 26 windows updates. only KB2607576 failed, then it worked when windows tried again. When I opened Windows after that, my NIC card and several USB drivers weren't working (code 10 I think... certain .dlls didn't load). I had to disable/reenable each device/usb one in order to get them working. Occasionally the system would hang while I did this, usually on the last USB - forcing a manual power off.
I eventually rolled back to a restore solved before I left for my exchange and; updated my BIOS, chipset and USB to the latest from the manu's site. I figure windows installed the new USB 3.0 drivers (Renases USB 3.0 Host Controller/Root Hub) without any regard to my chipset/bios version and this somehow caused the problem - though I have no evidence and little experience in this area.Windows was also telling me Skype wasn't working, though it appeared to be working fine (it gave mo the fix a problem with... dialogue). I have re-installed Skype since.Now everything seems to be working (NIC, USB, etc.), except for the crashes. When it crashes, I see a BSOD. A BSOD was happening earlier while the NIC/USB were acting up also, but there appear to be no logs for those. These are in fact the only logs I have, and this has happened several times.

About 20% of the time, my Win7 Home Premium 32-bit laptop system BSD crashes when I'm trying to put it into Sleep mode; the rest of the time Sleep mode works perfectly. It always crashes in exactly the same place: In TDI.SYS caused at location TDI.SYS+50E0. The Bug Check string is: "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL", with a code of 0x0000000A. When attempting to wake up my wife's PC from sleep, the computer will hang for a few seconds at a black screen and then reboot. This is followed by the standard Windows has not shut down properly message asking if I want to launch into safe mode. This has been happening the past few weeks. It's Windows 7 64-bit. I've attached the results of the SF Diagnostic tool.
Stuff I've tried:
- Turning off hybrid sleep
- Uninstalling and reinstalling the Realtek USB WiFi adapter (network adapter problems came up on some google searches)
- Toggling USB suspend in power settings
I have windows 7 ultimate 64-bit on HP DV4-1199ee. The battery is connected and it is working on power is plugged on. When I leave the laptop for long time, I found the the laptop has restarted. This tell that the computer restart instead of sleep.

wreaks havoc with my Norton full system scan. It is scheduled weekly, but never does it, because my computer is on, but sleeping. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition. I got a Logitech Quickcam pro 9000, I have had it for a while and always had this problem. So the problem is whenever my PC is shut down, restarted, or wakes from sleep my webcam is either not detected, or is detected as a USB 1.1 device, instead of USB 2.0. In order for it to be detected as USB 2.0, or even detected at all, I have to unplugg it and plug it back in. I have all the current software and drivers for my motherboard, windows, and my webcam, in fact I just rechecked yesterday. So, my motherboard is an Nvidia 780i sli. I have looked in the Bios and USB 2.0 is definately enabled. Besides I know it working cause none of my other devices have this issue, plus like I said if I unplugg then plug the webcam back in, it is once again detected as a USB 2.0 device. I have tried all my USB plugs on my PC, and same result. So maybe a bios update? I have the P06 and noticed there is a P10 bios version now. Also when I go into device manager and click show devices by connection, I do not see a USB 2.0 catagory anywhere. Shouldn't USB 2.0 devices be in the USB 2.0 subcatagory? Or is it listed as something different cause of my MB, or Windows 7?

The backup utility said there was not enough space on that drive for a backup, so I formatted the drive.At this point I decided to upgrade my bios using the ASUS tool that came with the motherboard.
