Jun 18, 2012I was doing a backup of my computer and it did not completely do it, so I have to do it again but the computer is advising I do not have the authorisation to delete the information.

What Is Safe To Delete During Disk Cleanup
Apr 4, 2012So I want to perform a disk clean up on my laptop, except I have no idea which items in the list are safe to delete and which are not. I've looked through Google and a lot of sites say it's safe to just delete everything, but I want to make sure.
The following:
Downloaded Program Files - 0 bytes
Temporary Internet Files - 0 bytes
Game Statistics Files - 3.71 KB
Recycling Bin - 0 bytes
Service Pack Backup Files - 920 MB
System error memory dump files - 5.00 MB

Delete Files From Backup Disk?
Oct 11, 2012After downloading the latest updates for Google Earth, I began getting a msg saying that "there is not enough disk space on your backup disk." When I attempted to clean it up, I was unable to free up any space. I have a LENOVO 570; the backup disk is labeled: Lenovo: D It says I have @ 10.6MB free out of 29GB Can I delete all the drivers and the applications from the D drive ? And then do a complete restore once the D drive is emptied?

Dec 1, 2009I made a backup image a couple of weeks ago using Paragon Backup & Recovery ,but since that time I have deleted about 80GB of files.
I don't want those files put back on my C drive if I need to do a restore from image.So I want to start fresh with a clean image and then do my scheduled differential back ups.
I can't remember how to wipe the info off the ext.Can't find an answer in the Paragon program.
Any suggestions?

The drive was bootable as Windows 7 pro x64, but now I want to remove all system folders from it, keeping all backups and private data untouched, but I need special rights for most of the folders/files inside Windows folder: it requests for TrustedInstaller privileges. I'm using a Windows 7 enterprise 32bit, logged in as a AD domain user that is also on local Administrators group. I tried taking ownership, but it failed.

Mar 11, 2012I have an OCZ Agility 3 as well as a Crucial M4 SSD I thought Id setup everything right but then noticed that the drive only had 100 mb available while following some steps from Seans SSD Optimization guide (I finished Step 3, didn't go to Step 4). I went into disk management, saw that the Agility drive was unallocated and that the drive I was seeing iComputer was actually just a 100 mb partition of the Crucial M4.I then created a new simple volume for the Agility, unassigned the partition drive letter, then tried to delete the partition, though the system didt allow me to (I had confused enabling the Agility drive with simply creating a partition so I thought I should get rid of the partition).After restarting, Im getting the bootmgr missing error, which leads me to the conclusion that I definitely messed something up.
* Ive tried using my original install disc to do a recovery install but then I get the error that:his version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows* Ive also skipped to the command prompt and tried to run the bootrec commands to no avail. The bootrec /scanos command recognizes that Windows is installed on the Crucial M4 but I can't rebuild anything off of it.* I also tried to Custom Install on my drives and am told that I cannot install Windows on either Partition 1 or 2 of my Crucial or the Agility 3. I still see the 100 mb partition there marked as "Primary" while the bigger partition with the actual OS files is marked "System. The error message reads:Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table.On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disksI'm not sure what else I can do at this point. I just tried unplugging the drives and observed the following:* If both drives are plugged in, then I am unable to do a custom install of Windows onto any of the M4 partitions or the Agility* If the M4 is plugged in (but the Agility is not), then I also cannot install onto either partition* If only the Agility is plugged, then I **can** install Windows and go into the repair install windows but there is no OS, obviously.

Feb 17, 2010I have been having a bit of trouble with windows 7 lately, namely that it won't start up right. When I boot from the drive normally, it gives me the classic "BOOT DISK ERROR: INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" message.
However, I soon discovered that if I boot from the Windows 7 cd and do not boot from it (By ignoring the "Press a key to boot from CD or DVD..." Windows 7 boots up fine.
I've tweaked my BIOS over and over, but the same problem persists. The drive is brand new and fine. What can I do?

Initialize Disk Failed Logical Disk Manager?
Mar 10, 2012One of the hard disks suddenly failed to initialized. The first problem I found on this disk was unable to open one of the zip files then the machine crashed. After I restarted the machine the HDD drive was missing from the Computer. My computer has 6 hard drives including the missing one. One is Corsair SSD for the OS and the rest are Samsung, Hitachi and WD all of them are 1TB. When I checked on the Device Manager the Drive is there and the device status is properly working. I checked on the Disk Management and I got a message to Initialize the Disk then I followed the instruction. Again I got an error message " Virtual Disk Manager - The system cannot find the file specified." On the Disk Management windows the status of the Disk is "Unknown 931.51GB Not Initialized- Unallocated". I tried to initialize but the same error I got. I did not name this drive but it named automatically RV 01 and the Location is 0.I use Acronis Disk Director to fix the problem but it cannot change the status to online. What I did last week was I installed some programs to the Drive X instead of Drive C.My computer OS is Windows 7 64bits all the drivers and software are updated.
