Oct 3, 2011Whenever I'm uninstalling something it comes up saying it cannot find the installation .msi. Could I solve this issue by downloading the set-up from the Internet again, or what?

Jul 25, 2012There are two Microsoft updates that has caused a very important program to stop working. I have identified the two that caused the problem, however they cannot be removed per the Microsoft message that once installed they cannot be removed. Please, is there another way I can remove them so I can get my program up and running?

I understand that they have something to do with wireless. I don't use wireless, at least not in the sense of something like a wireless printer, router or things of that sort. Dec 23, 2009I want to uninstall a program off my laptop. It's not showing up in the uninstall programs list so I presume it's hidden for some reason (The program is First Class - according to the applications website the removal route is through add & remove programs).
I know in XP there is an file which shows all installed programs and some have the word hidden at the beggining of the file name, which keeps the program name out of add & remove - I presume the same is true of Windows 7?

Nov 3, 2010Last week my husband installed Azureus aka Vuze onto our Sony VIAO laptop. He said several hours later, while he was watching a video, the computer suddenly shut down. Since then, we have found that we can't open any non-Windows inherit programs. Windows did an update, but it didn't help.We can open documents, pictures, notepad, calculator - all the things that would have come with Windows 7, but if it is a program that we have installed, like Chrome, AVG free or AdAware, we can't open it. I double-click and nothing happens.Likewise, when I try to uninstall programs. I tried fixing the issue by removing Azureus, but I get the message that it doesn't look like it can be uninstalled and asks if I want it removed from the programs list.I have successfully gotten ZIP folders to open and use REG files (which is how I got ZIP folders to work), but that's it.

My account on my computer is the administrator account and it is the only account on my computer. This is the message it keeps telling me, "You must be an Administrator to remove the application. Apr 14, 2012I can't get Windows 7 to install or uninstall any programs. Whenever I try it says a network resource is unavailable and asks me to point to the install package, but still never works. I've been trying to fix this for months now, I've asked around before and I've tried every relevant fix I could find on the internet. So as one last shot, any ideas? I don't feel like doing a fresh install of Windows 7 if 8 is coming out soon, and I get Windows for free through MSDNAA, so I thought I would do an upgrade install to windows 8 CP and then just enter the final key when I get it, do you think that would fix it?

Sep 27, 2012First I told her she needs to clear out some space of all her homemade videos.Then I wanted to go into Add Remove programs but every time I go in it freezes. I even tried it in safe mode but it seems to freeze up even more. I ran cCleaner which cleaned over 1000 MB. I ran SuperAntispyware which found nothing. I tried to run Malwarebytes but it froze after 2 minutes. I took some items out of start up but there are a ton of Toshiba programs listed, but I have no idea if they are necessary or not. Some items I am not sure if she needs or not: Blekko Anti Phishing Domain Advisor Every time I attempt something now her laptop freezes and I have to reboot.I can't even go into Task Manager to stop Malwarebytes or Add Remove Programs when they freeze.

Apr 12, 2012I have just noticed that I can't uninstall any programs. When I try, a window pops up almost immediately saying "Unable to create a temporary file. Setup aborted. Error 5: Access is denied.I have tried running the add/remove applet as Administrator but I get the same result.The Microsoft 'Fix It' tool finds no problems or errors.where the Windows Installer is trying to create the file. One thread that I've found says it creates it on 'the volume with the most free space', but as I only have one partition, that doesn't help much.

However, there is no mention of the HP program on the Control Panel. I tried using the Microsoft Fixit program, but as HP was not listed it asked me to insert the Product Code. Where can I find that?

Jun 7, 2012At that time i had net framework 4.0, the program i required to install was nessesary for my school and i spent a lot of effort installing net framework 1.1, which was not an easy task. it wasn't possible installing it a normal way, and i ended up going in Comand Prompt as administrator and fixing 2 installations at the same time or something like that. Can not recall it very well.The net framework 1.1 required updating and at the start of my computer booting it would generally ask me Accept of Decline the update possibility. This request has disappeared. I noticed when i would accept the update it infact wouldnt update anything and would not let me install anything cause it was apparently bizzy with updating.
This issue has now worsen over time, it does not ask me if i accept the update at allNow i cannot install or uninstall any programs, i have tried too install Java, and ableton. both failed, when i want too install something it says i do not have enough disk space. The same thing happens when i want too uninstall a program it says make sure u have enough disk space. i have 193 GB out of the 284 GB, i think i would have enough space for Java

Jan 24, 2012Problem started earlier tonight. I clicked accept or okay on something that I think was a Windows Update (Honestly, at this point, I'm unsure of what it is I really clicked. I know that's stupid of me to click accept or ok on something I wasn't paying attention to, but it's too late now.) and my computer completely restarted. When it came back up, I attempted to get back on Skype, Windows Live Messenger, and Mozilla Firefox. None of them would open. I clicked on the icons as well as the links in my start menu. Although, on the start menus, it showed as if I was still signed into those programs. My mouse pointer on the screen gave me a little circle as if it were loading, but nothing happened. Suddenly, I got a blue screen with something that said "Crash" and "Dump" in it. I panicked. When it finally restarted my computer again, I still cannot access any programs, including my anti virus. I can get into Pain, My Documents, and such, but nothing else really.
I tried restoring to three days before, but the problem followed me. I also tried Safe Mode, nothing would work there either. I am using a separate computer to access this website. I am using Windows 7

Mar 11, 2012My issues first began with Microsoft Office Word Starter. I couldn't run it -- I would get an error message about there being no associated file. I fixed this with system restore, and my computer was good for a while. Perhaps a week later, I noticed I was unable to install any programs. I would get a notification saying something about shell.dll and that there was no file associated with whatever it was that I would try to install (VLC player, Adobe Reader, the list goes on... but for some reason WinRAR worked).I tried to remedy this by doing a system restore. When my computer started up again, a notification popped up saying that system restore failed (or that it was unable to make changes). Today, I noticed I am unable to run anything as administrator, FireFox has been acting up, and my computer has been freezing quite frequently.
