The driver for my HP 1018 has become corrupted and I tried to reinstall it. However, when I tried to uninstall the existing driver via the HP Print and Scan Doctor it informed me that I must uninstall it via the Windows Control Panel, as its uninstaller component is not present.
However, there is no mention of the HP program on the Control Panel. I tried using the Microsoft Fixit program, but as HP was not listed it asked me to insert the Product Code. Where can I find that?
After recently downloading the service pack, I've had issues with my computer, including the themes service not working. I want to uninstall the pack so that I can do a system repair using my disc because my disc is older than the service pack. However, the service pack doesn't show up on the programs list. If I try to uninstall by looking at windows update or the command prompt I get an error message that says:
Installer encountered an error: 0x80073712 The component store has been corrupted.
I have already done a sfc file checker thing through the command prompt, and it said that some files were corrupted, and I couldn't access the log (access denied). I'm currently running the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium. I obtained the log from the sfc scan. [URL]
I installed a game that I didn't like so i wanted to uninstall it but if needed me to upgrade something which I didn't want to do, so I removed the game manually. Most of the time if I choose to uninstall the game after removing the game manually it just gives me an error and asks me if I want to remove it from the list. This time however, it didn't. It tried to uninstall it but gave me a different error telling me that something is missing and it can't uninstall the game. It doesn't remove the Programs list.
So I've been trying to uninstall a program off of my programs list and it continues to tell me that I am unable to do so because I am not the administrator. My account on my computer is the administrator account and it is the only account on my computer. This is the message it keeps telling me, "You must be an Administrator to remove the application. To remove the application you can log on to an Administrator account or contact your technical support group for assistance." I don't understand why it keeps telling me this because I am the administrator for my computer. I don't know how to go about approaching this problem and fixing it so any.
Whenever I'm uninstalling something it comes up saying it cannot find the installation .msi. Could I solve this issue by downloading the set-up from the Internet again, or what?
I can't get Windows 7 to install or uninstall any programs. Whenever I try it says a network resource is unavailable and asks me to point to the install package, but still never works. I've been trying to fix this for months now, I've asked around before and I've tried every relevant fix I could find on the internet. So as one last shot, any ideas? I don't feel like doing a fresh install of Windows 7 if 8 is coming out soon, and I get Windows for free through MSDNAA, so I thought I would do an upgrade install to windows 8 CP and then just enter the final key when I get it, do you think that would fix it?
i m using window 7 64 bit. i m unable to uninstall the program(dirt 3) as by mistake i deleted its installed files from program files folder. now its shows error when i tries to uninstall it from control panel.
At that time i had net framework 4.0, the program i required to install was nessesary for my school and i spent a lot of effort installing net framework 1.1, which was not an easy task. it wasn't possible installing it a normal way, and i ended up going in Comand Prompt as administrator and fixing 2 installations at the same time or something like that. Can not recall it very well. The net framework 1.1 required updating and at the start of my computer booting it would generally ask me Accept of Decline the update possibility. This request has disappeared. I noticed when i would accept the update it infact wouldnt update anything and would not let me install anything cause it was apparently bizzy with updating.
This issue has now worsen over time, it does not ask me if i accept the update at allNow i cannot install or uninstall any programs, i have tried too install Java, and ableton. both failed, when i want too install something it says i do not have enough disk space. The same thing happens when i want too uninstall a program it says make sure u have enough disk space. i have 193 GB out of the 284 GB, i think i would have enough space for Java
When I restored my Windows 7 64bit. After that I was unable to uninstall game what I had uninstalled long time ago. I get some kind error when I try, well here isn't any folder of that game on my HDD. But still my Windows 7 shows like I have that game still installed on PC, anyway to remove it?
There are two Microsoft updates that has caused a very important program to stop working. I have identified the two that caused the problem, however they cannot be removed per the Microsoft message that once installed they cannot be removed. Please, is there another way I can remove them so I can get my program up and running?
I am unable to open "Uninstall a program" through control panel. Every time when I try to open it, I get the following error message"
"Windows cannot find '::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9371-BEB064C98683}...:{7B81BE6A-CE2B-4676-A29E-EB907A5126C5}' Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again".
However, I can open this in safe mode. Unsure why this is the case. I use Win 7 64bit.
In Windows Home Premium 64bit we encounter this problem on a machine after trying to uninstall a norton product manually. The norton software led to serious problems of randomly emerging BSODs.As system uninstall did not work we researched a tutorial on how to manually uninstall the soft.t can be found here Enterprise Support - Symantec Corp. - How to manually uninstall the Symantec Endpoint Protection client from Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 R2 64-bitEverything worked smoothly until the last three steps of the routine failed (12.-14We can not uninstall/delete the wireless network adapters as described. After clicking "uninstall" there is the window that asks for confirmation (to uninstall) but after clicking "yes" the device manager window simply refreshes - and the device remains unchanged.
I deleted the whole iTunes folder from my computer, and since I did that when I go to uninstall it in the control panel, it cannot find the file so it won't uninstall and I tried to re-install it but it's not working. I use Windows 7 Starter.
I recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and installed the printer driver for the HP 1018 printer, and it prints from word, excel, pdf, etc., but it will not print from the Internet. It just prints blank pages.
I have a dell mini 1018 which got dropped and now has HDD issues. This happened in july 2012. I tried recovering my files and it didn't work. SO i put it in the cupboard and was going to send it away to recover my files but since it was a hardware fault the thought of 300 for physical recovery made me a little sick.Anyway, thought i'd give it another go and luckly i have managed to recover all my files. I dont care about my programs as it was fairly new and not much on there. The netbook contains 1 HDD with 2 PartitionsThe netbook doesn't have a cd/dvd drive and instead uses a recovery partition. I have brought the exact same HDD and am trying to image the drive but i am getting CRC errors. My question is if i manage to image both the partitions and the recovery partition has no CRC erros then i should be able to use the recovery to reset back to factory settings on the new HDD ?Im using DriveImageXML to backup each partition but how would i loading them onto the new HDD, would i have to partition the drive first ? i guess it would have to match the same setup as the original.
i have been running windows 7 rc1 for a while now, I have a HP laserjet 1018 installed as a shared printer on a windows xp machine. From windows 7 rc1 I send jobs to this printer no problem. However, on my new retail version of windows 7 professional 32 bit the printer does not respond to print jobs. The document sits in the que for a few seconds then it just disappears.
I just got a computer for free, a Dell Studio 1555. When I got it, it would try to boot, then come to a screen that said that bootmgr.exe was missing. Sometimes I got a message that said something like mpio.sys was corrupted or missing. I have a Win 7 disk, so I put it in and tried to repair the installation. Each time I ran it, it said that the repair had failed. I tried to reinstall windows 7, and It made it to the first restart in the process. It showed the "Starting Windows" screen, but the colors of the windows logo never appeared, then I got the missing bootmgr screen. I decided to install Ubuntu and see if that worked, and it did (I installed it alongside the Windows installation). It was Ubuntu 10.04. I thought, "OK, so i'll just use this as a Linux machine"...and I decided to go back and reinstall so that I could use the entire hard drive. It never worked correctly again. Each subsequent time that I installed Ubuntu, I was told something along the lines of "Gnome Power Manager did not install correctly" and got a slow and choppy Ubuntu installation.Tried to install 11.10, and it failed completely. I opened the Ubuntu live from my usb drive, and opened the disk utility. I now cannot format, reformat, partition, or delete partitions on the drive. Is all of this just a case of a hard drive on its last legs, or is there something else going on here?
Printer is USB wired to desktop. When I sent a print job to HP laser jet 1018 will not print until restart desktop computer.I believe I must have something set wrong. I just have not been able to find what is wrong. Laptop and desktop are both running windows 7 64 bit.It did fine when I had XP laptop.
I installed Driver Utility and it was installing 2 new drivers and a littler earlier there was a Windows update popup and it had to restart so I hit postpone for 4 hours
and so I left it to finish installing the 2 drivers and I checked on it 30 min later and it started restarting and then it showed the specs for the laptop and then it gets to a menu (all black background) and the options are
Launch Startup Repair
which finds no problems
or
Start Windows Normally
which just shows the specs and ends up on this screen
I tried doing a System Restore and it didn't even do anything from that
I wanted to uninstall zorin os- i am so stupid that i deleted the partitions in windows 7. when i restarted i was unable to boot anything- the error message came. no partitions grub rescue>. I thought i should reinstall Zorin OS to fix the problem- get the grub to load up- but then when i tried to install it there were no partitions to select from as i deleted them while i was in windows. and then i tried to create a partition during the installation process- it was taking so long and i was sick enough to shutdown my computer during that process. after i turned on my computer, trying to install it again but then in the installing process windows 7 was not showing up. i quited the process- shut down my computer. After, i used my windows 7 recovery disk and repaired the windows for issues. when it finished. i restarted my computer. i again faced the error : no partitions and grub rescue>. then i researched for some codes, typed them in but that didnt work either. Then i decided to install zorin os again, this time i done partitions in the installing process. there it selected about 87.91 gb for zorin os and the rest for windows 7. my total memory was 250 now for windows 7 144.76 was left. However, i still had 92.95 gb free where as the used is only 51.80. now after zorin os installed, i restarted the computer. However, now when i try to load windows 7 from the grub menu- (as in when i select the windows 7 option to boot up) i am forwarded with the message- 0xc0000225 driver is missing or corrupted. I can't even boot up in safe modes because they require this driver as well.
Then, when i boot in the recovery disk, it looks for error but cannot fix them. other than this, i tried to rebuild he BCD in the command-as for the first time i didn't really carry out the whole procedure-the second time when i try to rename the BCD it said duplicate file or something similar and and at the end, it still shows 0 installations. However, i am still able to access the hard drive of windows 7 in zorin os.
I own a Dell latitude D820 laptop. It had been left on, and I noticed the screen was black so rebooted it. When it came back online I was no longer able to use the keyboard or built in touch pad. I was however able to use a wireless USB mouse and keyboard so I can use the laptop and get online with it. I checked device manager and it shows several items with errors including the DVD drive so I cannot reinstall windows. The error for each item is "The driver for this device might be corrupted, or your system may be running low on memory or other resources. (Code 3)"It doesn't even see the DVD drive in my computer. I did a little bit of research and found a site that suggested I am missing an important file called wdf01000. I did try and do a system restore, but the only restore point available was from midnight the night before and it didn't fix the problem. As a last resort I might attempt to locate an external USB DVD drive, but I'm hoping to not go in that direction if possible.Running Windows 7 32 bit version.

I have installed a Logitech webcam. It installed a driver called 'Logitech Mic (Notebooks Deluxe)'. The driver causes my computer to hard power off (crashes it immediately) when I start a cam program (u-Broadcast). I know how to disable and un-install the driver through Device Manager/Sound..., but every time I plug something into a USB port or reboot, the driver automatically re-installs itself.
I have a Gateway AMD laptop running Win 7 Home Premium and it will not recognize a couple of my USB devices. After doing some research, I read that it can be caused by AMD's USB (Audio) Filter Driver and that I need to disable or uninstall the driver.
The driver does not appear anywhere in the Device Manager; but, I did find it in the C:/Program Files (x86)/AMD folder.
The problem I'm facing is that I cannot uninstall it. If I go to Control Panel and pull up the Programs, it does not appear there.
Can someone please tell me how I can uninstall this driver?
I'm having major trouble with my audio card driver (M-Audio Delta) so I wanted to uninstall it. I went to "Programs and Features" and click uninstall. It immediately gave me this error:[CODE]
