Then the list of contacts appears and I have to click on the contact's name, select from "to/Cc/Bcc" and then click on the 'okay'. This seems to me to be a rather laborious procedure. Is there a way to modify WLM to simplify the addressing procedure. The driver causes my computer to hard power off (crashes it immediately) when I start a cam program (u-Broadcast). I know how to disable and un-install the driver through Device Manager/Sound..., but every time I plug something into a USB port or reboot, the driver automatically re-installs itself.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Gateway AMD laptop running Win 7 Home Premium and it will not recognize a couple of my USB devices. After doing some research, I read that it can be caused by AMD's USB (Audio) Filter Driver and that I need to disable or uninstall the driver.
The driver does not appear anywhere in the Device Manager; but, I did find it in the C:/Program Files (x86)/AMD folder.
The problem I'm facing is that I cannot uninstall it. If I go to Control Panel and pull up the Programs, it does not appear there.
Can someone please tell me how I can uninstall this driver?

I am having frequent network connection drop, old & well reported problem with no real cure so I want to update the new Marvell Yukon driver but when I uninstall the present driver windows roll back to the older version, I even tried uninstalling the Ethernet card but on next reboot the windows automatically installs the old driver.
Is there a way that I completely get rid of all the past version drivers installed for this & only the new version should remain there.
After a power cut, I can't connect to my router and as a result to the internet anymore. It keeps telling me the network is unidentified. I downloaded my motherboard's network driver (Asus M3N78-VM), installed it, then through Upgrade I selected the driver from NVidia as opposed to Microsoft. Did not work.
I then tried to Uninstall network drivers, or Disabling them. When doing that, my PC is in an infinite loop to uninstall the driver, or to disable it. Also changing IP setting manually and pressing Close in the Local Area Network window _sometimes_ makes my PC go stuck as well (often after disabling IPv6).
I do not have the Bonjour service running (says the Bonjour removal tool), I do have Adobe PS2 for some time and Adobe Reader.
It's hopeless, I can't think of what is wrong or how to remove the network driver properly. I'm up to a point to reinstall the OS, but that involves a lot of work, so if it can be done without it would be great.

The only solution for this is when I remove the drive and restart the pc. I also experience this when sorting items without the usb inserted. After this problem I often get "The remote procedure call failed and did not execute." Which restart is the only option.

Now my CPU is sitting at 20% due to Deferred Procedure Calls and Interupt Service Providers running constantly according to the resource monitor. What could cause this issue? Could it be a driver that downloaded from MS? I believe the fix for this would be to just restore back to before the install but I have a question about restore points. When I open up the restore point menu and it shows all the dates, do I pick the date of the MS update or one day earlier?

However, when I tried to uninstall the existing driver via the HP Print and Scan Doctor it informed me that I must uninstall it via the Windows Control Panel, as its uninstaller component is not present.
However, there is no mention of the HP program on the Control Panel. I tried using the Microsoft Fixit program, but as HP was not listed it asked me to insert the Product Code. Where can I find that?
im trying to update drivers for intel hd graphics card on my laptop with a clean install of the new drivers and everytime i uninstall and delete all the old driver files windows automatically re installs them.
I'm using home premium so i cant use the gps.edit method to prevent it from re installing them. I have also tried the turn off out automatic updates and changing the driver device settings and i havent had any luck.
Is there any other way to prevent windows from re installing the old drivers?
I'm having audio issues and i suspect its Microsoft drivers because i deactivated them and saw improvement in the sound quality. Then i uninstall and reboot and they keep on installing. I disabled the windows auto driver install to never. Even if i reboot they are activated automatically upon reboot.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSince about a couple weeks ago my computer has been working fine. Then when i woke up on March 25, the minute my computer started i received an error message. I thought everything was alright but when i went to open my browser i received the message " The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll." and "The procedure entry point _ftol2could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.". Everytime i try opening a programs like Photoshop,Word, Malwarebytes and ESET... it gives me that message(I tried dowloading and running rkill with different names but the message also popped up). Strangly I can still open SuperAntiSpyware and open games like Chess. I have tried running Microsoft Security Esssentials with no results. I have tried running SuperAntiSpyware in all modes (including the rescue scan) and it said that everything is clean. When i clicked on something that was only avaliable to the paid version my internet browser(Internet Explorer) popped up(So i think its like the Security scam that does not let you use programs).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did an upgrade from Vista Buisness 64, to Windows 7 Ultimate 64. Dell Latitude e6400, with Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M. In general, everything went quite well. Except - when I boot up, I get to the logon screen, I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and I log in, then the screen goes blank. If I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete again, I get the screen where I can switch user, change passwords, log off, etc. If I cancel this, I get blank screen again.
If I reboot in Safe Mode, all is fine. If I uninstall the NVidia driver, then reboot normal, I can log in, but the system is using Standard VGA driver. I have tried various drivers from NVidia, LaptopVideo2Go, Dell (Windows 7 - 181.71, 181.72, 185.81, 185.85, and Latest Vista driver from Dell site). I've tried installing from normal mode, safe mode, I've tried DriverSweeper, I searched the registry deleting all references to the drivers I can find...). One time I did somehow get 185.81 working - I don't know how.
It was running fine 5 five days (I did not reboot during that time, just sleep mode), then I got a blue screen, and back to the blank screen after logon on the 1st boot. I screwed with the system for another day, and finally got the Dell Vista driver to run once. Once again all was well, until I put the laptop to sleep in the docking stn, then woke it up - blank screen again.
I'm typing this msg now with the standard VGA driver. The 2 things that bother me about this driver, are only single monitor support, and the machine will not go into Hibernate or Sleep mode with this driver (not to mention the speed of the driver).
Just installed fresh copy of Windows 7, trying to install Nvidia drivers without any luck, at ALL!
I've downloaded many drivers from 181 to 190 and all I get is "Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation again." WHAT THE CRAP?
I've tried to uninstall the current driver, log into safe mode and use driver sweeper to erase every single trace of the old driver, logged back in and tried to install new driver but ALWAYS get the same god damn problem! Why the hell is this happening to me?

View 3 Replies View RelatedEvery 5 minutes or so the audio manager says something has been disconnected and then instantly reconnected putting it in front of every other window and being annoying because it doesn't self minimize. is there a way to stop this the sound card is a realtek alc898 i tried turning off taskbar notifications but it still opens up. I've tried pulling the jack out out, cleaning it and cleaning it, but it still happens.
