I'm having audio issues and i suspect its Microsoft drivers because i deactivated them and saw improvement in the sound quality. Then i uninstall and reboot and they keep on installing. I disabled the windows auto driver install to never. Even if i reboot they are activated automatically upon reboot.

I have a Gateway AMD laptop running Win 7 Home Premium and it will not recognize a couple of my USB devices. After doing some research, I read that it can be caused by AMD's USB (Audio) Filter Driver and that I need to disable or uninstall the driver.
The driver does not appear anywhere in the Device Manager; but, I did find it in the C:/Program Files (x86)/AMD folder.
The problem I'm facing is that I cannot uninstall it. If I go to Control Panel and pull up the Programs, it does not appear there.
Can someone please tell me how I can uninstall this driver?
how to uninstall/reinstall my audio card driver. I'm using a HP Mini netbook (windows 7 starter). I use this Netbook mainly for browsing and watching netflix. I spend a lot of time in a motel. When I'm trying to watch a movie the Audio is faster than the video (The words are already spoken, but the characters haven't said them yet). I downloaded "driver detective" and it said that my Audio was out of date.
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery 5 minutes or so the audio manager says something has been disconnected and then instantly reconnected putting it in front of every other window and being annoying because it doesn't self minimize. is there a way to stop this the sound card is a realtek alc898 i tried turning off taskbar notifications but it still opens up. I've tried pulling the jack out out, cleaning it and cleaning it, but it still happens.

And the other problem is that I cannot install the driver for my NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M because whenever I try to do it, the installer stops installation of the driver and shows a message telling me that there is an Intel component missing that I have to install prior to attempt installing the NVIDIA thing.
