I have a Radeon HD 6670 Graphics Card. I've recently been playing black ops 2 and always got stuck on awaiting textures. I was told I need to update my drivers but there's a problem, I have no Catalyst Control Center! When I try to install it, the program never shows up. It says it successfully installed but it when I search for it in my computer the install file comes up. I've went into Windows Device Manager and it says my drivers are up to date, but when I go to AMD"s website i see a newer version. I try to download it but of course, I have no Catalyst Control Center. I have no idea how to fix this, and I hate getting into a match a minute late when playing bo2.
I have installed WINDOWS 7 (Lisenced) in HP-Laptop. After that i can install all drivers. Then i can use all USB drivers. I am using 3 USB regularly. Then I installed VMware 7. Now I cant use all USB drivers except 3 drivers. While connecting, It scanning "Searching Windows Update" then it shows the error "No driver found".
A while back, after successfully downloading and installing some updates in the Windows Update, it prompted me to restart the computer to finish the update installation process. However, I continued to use the computer for quite some time before restarting it, and then when it tried to configure the updates on the start-up screen, it showed that it was not successful in doing so. In the past, I noticed that this would typically happen when I did not restart the computer immediately (or within a short time) after the updates finished and I got the prompt to restart. I would have to go to Windows Update and do it over again, and then upon immediate restart, it would always work properly. But this time, it did not, and I keep getting the 8000FFFF error message instead.
Also, now, every time I start the computer, it shows that it's "Preparing to configure Windows... Do not shut off computer" (presumably the updates that never got completely and correctly configured) in the start-up screen... gets to 35%..fails... shuts down (screen goes black)... restarts again... tries to configure again, fails again, shuts down and restarts again... tries to configure again, fails again, and finally it apparently gives up and says "reverting changes" and finally goes to the desktop.I've looked at the answers in several threads at the answers.microsoft.com forum that were started by people with similar problems, and also tried several of the Microsoft "FixIt" files on the Microsoft site, but none of them worked. I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.
whenever i try install updates for my laptop it goes through half way of installing the update then just stays at the same percentage for ever, im unable to update my laptop due to this.

I have just bought an iPad and have to update my version of iTunes.Currently I am running version 10:4:1:10 and need to update to 10:6:3. I have downloaded iTunes no problem but at the end of installation I get the following message "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A programme for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package Vendor".I have gone into services.msc and to the windows installer and run Start and also changed from manual to automatic to no avail.I am running Windows 7 64 bit with McAfee anti-virus software. I want to synch my iTunes library to my iPad any suggestions as to how I can install the iTunes update?
But anyway, I updated my windows 7 Ultimate 64bit on December 14th. When I tried to reboot, it simply looped over and over until system repair came up. I've run it 19 times to date, and nothing. Luckily I have another windows 7 ultimate 64, and I created a repair disk on that to use. I tried the memory restore boot option, disable driver signing, diagnosed memory errors, etc. I tried to run an SFC Scannow, but it always says that there is a system repair that requires a reboot, please try again later. I managed to get all of my files off the computer, but still, I have nine different users on it, and it would be a pain in the ass to restore it. Is there anything I haven't tried? And before you ask, this is a legitimate copy -.-EDIT: I thought to disable automatic reboot after a crash, and I got the following error message:STOP: c000021a {Fatal System error}The non-DLL file included in known DLL list. system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000036f (0x005ff710 0x00000000)
I tried to update itunes and failed because of "Invalid signatures." I cannot only not update itunes but i cannot run any setup.exe like itunes or skype. I also cannot update my malware program or update mozilla firefox. I am looking for any insight on what could be doing this. I will try anything.
This Microsoft update repeatedly fails on my automatic updates. I try to do it manually, still no luck.: Security Update for Microsoft Works 9 (KB2754670)
Finally, my Outlook also doesn't work. I get the following error message:Task email address - Receiving' reported error (0x80040900) : 'The server name you entered cannot be found on the network (it might be down temporarily). Verify that you are online and that the server name is correct.'
Windows update could not search for downloads. Encountered error code 80070005. Norton 2012 security installed. Tried there support for help and they said it was not a problem from Norton.
several of the Windows 7 machines on our domain here at work are reporting that windows could not search for new updates. We have just recently had a new server installed SBS2011 and then shorty after is when this issue sprang up. The windows xp machines are able to update fine.
I had installed a fresh windows 7 on my machine and did all the updates. But i had noticed that my video cards were not working together any more, so i went to the ATI CCC to find crossfireX to inable it, only to find that it was no longer on the list of opitions. I have went to the task tray and right click on the CCC icon and scrolled the two video cards to see if crossfireX was there and it wasn`t i have look through the net and checked on the differnt forums to find myself back to square one.
I am running windows 7 home edition. A couple months ago I got the bad image date virus that disable my google chrome and my epson workforce printer, I had found it disable my print spooler, I got rid the the virus, but it did more damage, I uninstalled the printer drivers and went through the windows services and set them all to automatic, but I cannot reinstall the driver.
Then I saw my graphics and sound drivers are out dated but I cannot update them either, it just times out when I try to update them. I noticed when I try to update other programs, they hang up on the system restore point, so I tried to create a new one. I get the shadow volume cannot be created message, I set the shadow volume services to automatic, and went through all the dependency's but I still can't create a restore point, I am guessing the problems are related
My computer is set to not update automatically because once it updates, it won't allow access to internet (wireless or lan). I have to use a restore point to undo everything. My computer hasn't been updated for a year or more do to this problem. It can't find a problem when I run the help program and tells me to get on the internet to solve (won't let me do that in the first place)
I recently bought an Acer Revo AL100 and it was able to play all of the BluRay discs that I asked it to. I borrowed a copy from a mate and the Revo is able to detect that there is a disc in the drive, it chugs away for a couple of minutes and then I get a message that it was unable to download a BD-Live Update. Once I get this message the disc stops spinning and I don't get to watch my movie.
I get more or less the same results using the clear.fi application that came pre-installed, WinDVD Pro 11, PowerDVD 12 and Total Media Theatre 5 so I'm thinking that it's an issue with the hardware. The drive is a MATSHITA BD-CMB UJ141AL and I've been unable to find firmware updates for it anywhere. Is there anything else I can try short of trying to swap the drive for a different?
I'm having trouble updating to service pack 1 in Win 7 x64 Home Pre by Dell OEM. There is another post that the problem can be solved using the log file so I have tried using the Readiness Tool and the log is as followed:
I have attempted to update windows 7 with the :Security update for windows 7 for X64 systems (KB2619339) with only failed results.the error code is : 8007065E I have CBS logs WINDOWS resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
I recently had to restore my computer after the hard drive crashed. I reinstalled windows 7 and office 2010, including outlook. Since then, nothing has run well. Outlook will not search and I cannot get the indexing to work. I have not been able to complete a windows update and the troubleshooting doesn't work either. In addition, iTunes was unable to load properly.
I'm having a major virus/malware issue as my McAfee firewall protection stopped working suddenly. Called McAfee to reinstall the virus software and they were unable to install it. They said that since my Windows Update feature is not working (there is a big red X and updates are not downloading and installing) the McAfee installation is failing. Asked me to fix this issue first and then try McAfee installation.
I am trying to rectify the error with windows update. Everytime I try to update it tells me it is checking for updates...Then "To check for updates, you must first install an update for Windows Update. Your automatic Updating settings will not change." I click Install now and get "Window could not search for new updates"An error occured while checking for new updates for your computer. Error(s) Found Code 80070643 Windows Update encountered an unknown error.
This problem first came to light a year ago when I downloaded a windows update that was corrupt. It forced the computer to loop the autocheck upon boot and could only be started in safe mode or by canelling the check. After looking through the forums I found an interim fix which disabled the autocheck and since have always recieved the message upon restarting "Autocheck program not found".I naturally thought this issue would be resovled in the next update and or a future fix.I had to go away for work at the start of this year and when I got back and windows updated it still had the autocheck message.Recently I have been unable to update at all due to the aforementioned error. The simplest soultion it would seem would be to do a system restore, this I have tried however every possible point seems to have a corrupt file on it.I ran a scan using Malwarebytes and found nothing.I don't want to format as the programs came pre installed and that would mean taking to back to the shop.
I have an HP Dx7500 that run perfectly. Before making any change i made a checkpoint for future restore. Than i update my AHCI driver (Instead regular IDE) to "Intel ICH/10R SATA AHCI controller" and windows update can't run, no error.. just clicking and nothing move.I fix it for now with system restore.. but i want my hardware to be most updated.
Any one know if driver update should take longer. Have tried to update a number of my driversafter a clean install of win 7, example being, monitor, it has a generic pnp monitor driver. When i click update driver it asks if i want to look on net which i do, it then looks for 1 second before saying driver is up to date, surely it should take longer to look or is this normal & surely there is a better driver than a generic one.
