I am looking for a small cloud based system that would allow the following activities:Finances (Buy Price, Sell Price, Profit etc..) Notes Section for people to share their thoughts Plus and other features that may be possible.I don't mind if it is hosted on a secure site or hosted on a server at someones home and made available to others (Would need making secure somehow).

I'm now using Dropbox, to backup my mail (eM Client) but I only get 2GB. At this stage I''m still evaluating which one to go for but the question is, will they clash if they are both trying to upload at the same time. or will one take precedence?

Whenever I am transferring a large number of small files of maybe when I am installing a game, for example, my system starts hiccuping and fulfilling simply tasks such as opening Microsoft Word take a lot longer. The processor usage remains pretty low, and it hardly uses more than 50% of my available memory.I have bought two 1TB Seagate HD's two days ago and mounted them under RAID0, for I was considering the problem was a faulty HD. The performance of the RAID is where it should be according to HT TACH, but today after installing Armed Assault 2 the same problem happened again.My system is overclocked to 3.7GHz, and I've tried running everything under vanilla BIOS configuration and the problem still persisted
View 5 Replies View RelatedCan anyone tell how or if its possible to change the system font to a smaller size than is available at: Control panel / Appearance and Personalization / display..I got a big new monitor where Windows 7 windows now display with a larger font than I need for visibility.I've set the radio button for small and even under Custom DPI setting.It will not let me set anything under 100%.It now shows: 9 point Segoe UI at 96 pixels per inch.I'd probably like 8 point or even 7 point.So, is there anyway to make the fonts smaller beyond those settings

I was about to order one and do the same thing when I got to wondering if there would be a benefit from installing Windows on the SSD and just moving the "Program Files" and "Users" folders to the RAID so that the SSD is only used for the O.S.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Compaq Presario C700 laptop running windows 7 and one day when turning on my pc I have encountered my wireless icon on my taskbar began showing grey with an orange looking cloud over it. I have dove into the system checking everything that I could think of to change it back to displaying properly. i am connected to the interent through a Netgear router and I can access the internet through either 2 ghz or 5ghz band but the icon will not display properly. No matter where I connect to the internet the icon still displays the same way. I thought it may have been my norton internet security that caused the issue I removed Norton and rebooted the icon remained the same I then Installed my Mcafee virus shield.When the problem began I had changed nothing nor had I installed anything to cause the issue. It just began one day.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently was doing 'maintenance' on my network and during the process, decided to upgrade the firmware on my routers/APs. All went well except that my trusty old BEFSR41 didn't survive. I tried the known fixes, but no response.So, I'm asking for recommendations. I do have wireless covered with a WAP54G, but it may be time to update that as well.Features I want are good security (inbound and outbound MAC filtering, IP Range limiting, port limiting, etc.), speed and reliability. I'm not opposed to a wireless router with ethernet ports (at least 4), but I would like the ability to turn the wireless aspect off, since I don't use it that much (at the moment).I have several machines on site, connected to an 8 port gigabit switch, which was connected to the BEFSR41, which was connected to a cable modem. Netgear is not a preferred solution. At some point, I plan to connect my TV, if that is a consideration in choice. OK, I'm rambling now.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am on Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit.i7 processor with 12 gb ram 10k rpm Sata 3 boot drive Graphic Designer using Photoshop and Illustrator, and a variety of other programs.I have used Memeo Backup Pro in the past for backing up my files INSTANTLY upon saving the file.... I liked that it did that. Not into waiting till the end of the day for a scheduled backup to run; I've lost too many files in the past due to corruption after working on them for an hour or less....I would lose a LOT of productivity if I got hosed after working on a complex Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop file if it crashed after working on it for even a half hour.I save often, and Memeo saves a backup to my predetermined destination drive instantly. HOWEVER.... Memeo is buggy as heck and it has screwed with programs and caused Windows 7 functionality problems....So... I am wanting to try another, similar backup program that might have better user reviews. Can you help? I tried a demo of Live Backups and it sucked... couldn't even get it to work after setting up the parameters ....

AMD was suggested to me and it sounds good but I have no source of information except from you folks.Could you help me find an inexpensive motherboard for this CPU? On board audio and video would be ideal and USB 3.0 and maximum of 8Gb of memory is a must. What confuses me is that the CPU calls itself AM3 but when I do a search I only find AM3+. I now have a non-working microphone. The schedules were working some time back, I am sure.....however, I have it set to work whether I am logged in or not. I cannot see any restrictions that would stop it.

History shows repeated successful completions. Taskeng.exe is trusted in my security system (Comodo) and is running as a programme. Task Scheduler is shown as a Service. I tried scheduling the running of a simple drafting programme that I have (deltacad.exe). The time came and went and nothing appeared to happen. I ran it manually using SCHTASKS.EXE /RUN /TN "task name".
A very brief CMD window opened, and again it looked as if nothing had happened. However when I ran Process Explorer, there were 3 issues of the programme running: apparently one from the scheduled run and the others manual. None of them showed a GUI onscreen, and if I asked to bring the window to the front in Procexp, the option was greyed. running the programme itself, by actually activating it in Windows, resulted in a successful load and run.
I'm using Windows 7 64bit Professional and failed to update x64-based KB2552343. Reported error is Code 800B0100. I strictly followed the solution mentioned What is the System Update Readiness Tool? But nothing changed, still the same error.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a crashed Lacie network storage device, something in it's networking board is fried. It's comprised of 2 separate HDD's, both 500gig. I was afraid they were going to be stripped but it appears they hold their own complete files. I was able to look at the files through a file recovery program on Hiren's bootdisk. Said program was unable to keep file structure however. It seems theres no way to activate it to be read as a disk in windows. Computer management reads both of the disks as having 5 small partitions and a large (476gig) partition on it. No real way to look into that partition though?A couple other programs analyzed the disk and tell me it's 'linux native'. how to pull the files as well as folder structure out of it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have followed the instructions to search for files in Windows 7 but have found the process very slow and the results bring up lots of irrelevant files. Find a file or folder. By comparison the search companion on XP was much faster and got more relevant results based on file name. If that didn't work there was the option of searching for text within the file. For example I know inside a folder there is a sub folder with the file I am looking for and I know part of the name. Is there a way to make Win 7 search for results based only on the file name? In most cases that would be a lot simpler. Otherwise win 7 will look in the contents of the file which is a time waster.

On each computer, if I minimize a connected AIM, Yahoo, or MSN account.. Also any Telnet connected windows/Telnet based platforms that are currently connected to a server.. After a good 2-4 minutes of being minimized, all programs are disconnected. At first I thought it was an internet problem, but that isn't the case (program(s) run fine without any hiccups as long as its an active window).
