Scarface On Windows 7 32bit - Bad Graphics / Just Some Black Shadows
Jul 21, 2010
I was bored so I decided to install a known Scarface game. I downloaded it from the Internet and installed. When I started the first mission and the graphics was bad, just some black shadows. Is there any recommendation how to run scarface the Windows 7 32 bit?
I don't know why, but ever since I activated windows 7 ultimate on my new lenovo thinkpad x120e, there has been weird shadows on the windows interface (taskbar). Here are two pictures: The first one shows my Lenovo x120e destop with the weird shadows, the second one is from another one of my windows 7 pc's that do not have the shadows problem. As you can see, the taskbar on the first image had these weird shadows, and I want to make these shadows go away. All settings for appearance are the same for these two computers, but the one w/ the shadow problem has windows 7 ultimate, and the one without the problem (second image) has windows 7 home premium.first one (shadows-bad-my current x120e desktop):

second one (what i want the first one to look like):
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS940 laptop and have recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. It won't recognize my card ( Intel (R) GMA 900). My OOS (Original Operating System) was XP. But, since this computer was used from my brother he had installed Windows 7 Pro. Since my computer was very slow, I'd thought I'd do a new install. And as clueless as I was I installed Ultimate instead of Pro. My computer became really fast once again but I couldn't play my games anymore.
i'm using hp pavilion g series intel inside core i5,originally it was installed with windows 7 home premium and after i experienced some problems i upgrated to windows 7 ultimate.so now i wanna load gaming graphics on my laptop and i'm struggling.
Now I am using windows 7 32 bit. My all icon is black. So i use with Rebuild Icon Cache after ok while .. but windows restart black icon is appear again.
i have Aspire4750g windows7 HB 32bit. after the "Starting Windows" (the one with their logo). It normally displays a BLACK SCREEN but it is just for 1-2 seconds. But in my case, the black screen in my laptop after the "Starting Windows" takes 5-10 seconds!
So yesterday I turned off my PC. Nothing was wrong, everything was fine as it always was, nothing unusual, no random slowdowns, errors, etc. The next day I went to turn on my PC and that when it happened... the infamous Black Screen of Death. Just a black background with my cursor. I don't have the original disc with Windows because my friend upgraded my Windows XP to Windows 7.
- Task manager doesn't work. (ctrl + alt + del, and all the other ones that have to do with opening a window) - Safe mode doesn't work, none of them. - Tried PervX fix, didn't work. (Though I did it through Windows XP by booting to earlier version of Windows, so it probably wouldn't effect Windows 7 anyways.) - Tried Malwarebytes on both of my HDD's, one containing Windows XP, the other containing Windows 7. - Tried ALL options through the Repair Windows boot using F8. - Tried most options I could think of in command prompt through the Repair Windows boot. - Tried ALL other boot options in F8. - Tried a lot of other stuff I can't remember, but I'm more than happy to hear replies with possible fixes, even if I tried them but didn't list.
I had been running Windows XP 32-bit up until a couple days ago, and now that I've upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit I'm having various problems with games and other software. One of the bigger issues right now is that shadows look absolutely terrible in every game I've played (currently Borderlands, Shattered Horizon and Left 4 Dead). They look really blocky and grainy, especially when viewed up close. I never had this problem with XP.
I checked my graphics driver and it's up to date. The rest of the graphics seem to more or less be okay, as far as I can tell. I've checked to make sure that the shadows are turned up to full, and they are. Any ideas what's causing this or what I can do to try and fix it?
Since the last patch the graphics are going black. The characters gear turn black, the scenary turns black. If I go to "system" "graphics" and hit "recommended" the whole screen goes black for a second or two, then comes back up and everything runs normally for a little while. When I zone into a different area, it does it again. It is doing it on my desktop and laptop so it has to have something to do with the game.

I've been updating my graphics driver (Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS) and it's the correct version and after a while of the installation my screen turns black.
My Computer: Windows 7 Professional x32 Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU P7450 @ 2.13GHz 2.13GHz Ram: 3.00 GB
I've recently upgraded to windows 7 x86, and it works great. The only problem I have is that my ati mobility radeon 3650 graphics card doesn't seem to want to work.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers several times using several different versions of the driver (win7beta, vista32, mobilitymodded, unmobilitymodded).
Whenever I try starting up with the card enabled, the screen goes blank. After reinstalling the driver, everything but the wallpaper goes away. Can anyone help?
I recently turned on my laptop for it to constantly arrive to a black screen just before I select the user login. I read some instructions on a different forum stating that I need to log in to the computer via the safe mode and un install my display driver which is Intel(R) HD Graphics, I did this which enabled me to get back onto my original login but at a price. My driver now says that it's VGA, My screen resolution has changed, every app I use crashes constantly as well as any videos/films I play they crash, skip every minute or so.Yet if I update the driver I end up back at square one, the black screen. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 5742 with Windows 7.I've also tried the windows recovery which crashes.
- Win 7 RC 7100 32 bit does not load the correct graphics card driver and even the boot menu is not displayed correctly (fuzzy black screen, issue known from Ubuntu installations where it was solved by adapting boot loader specifications…) I do know however, that the boot menu is loaded correctly as “arrow down” + “enter” starts XP without any issues.
Win 7 is somewhat loaded, when hitting “enter” only in what I think must be the boot menue. Harddrive gets active and for 5 secons I even get a “black screen in normal resolution” with the arrow displayed correctly. Then unfortunately returning to fuzzy mode.
Questions:
- How to boot Win 7 in vga or graphics modus being blinded? When hitting F8 hard drive reacts differently, but how then to select the right boot option without seeing anything? - Is there an option to install a different graphics card driver into win 7 via the working XP? - Is there an option to modify the boot menu’s options via working XP, e.g., setting to vga modus (that did the trick for Ubuntu). - Any experience with Radeon Mobility 9600 (MV350) under Win 7?
My Compaq laptop no longer has color graphics. When I go to a website it just shows black letters...I just bought a new battery from HP and can't figure out what is wrong..
Recently I decided to finally reinstall my Windows 7, since it was ~2yrs old and getting slower each day. I used the official MSDN Windows 7 Professional ISO SP1 and did a clean install. Unfortunately, I've been having this problem which I can't solve no matter what. It seems to me that there's some graphics issues - When resizing any window, it takes some tome while it redraws it's contents, you can actually see it updating the contents. Also, there's some sort of flickering involved as well.Machine in question is: HP ProBook 4515s With AMD/ATi HD 4330, running Windows 7 32bit SP1.I have tried the following, without success:
- the default drivers on the HP website - the drivers provided by windows update service - latest mobile drivers from AMD - modded drivers with Mobility Modder - Aero On / Aero Off / Disabling every visual effect - Updating BIOS - Doing the same on x64 version of windows.
I have DirectX updated, and all other patches and drivers should be there as well.
In my windows 7 rating i have got 6.3 in gaming graphics but in graphics i have got only 4.9. Why this is happening? A graphics card which is good for gaming is that not good for desktop aero graphics?
i have heard a lot of my friends saying that they are unable to play high resolution and high definition games on their pc and told that they are on a low budget to buy a graphics card.here is a solution for that:there is a software named 3-d analyzer available in the internet which acts as a virtual graphics card for playing games. you can enter the graphic card needed from the 4 available graphic cards available and then you can get the attributes of that graphic card..if fine tuned, you can play games at the range of a 128mb ram virutal graphic card on your non graphic card pc. note:graphic intensive games, that requires atleast 512mb of graphics memory can't be played through 3d analyzer if you don't have a graphic card, but you can try running it if you have a 256/128 mb card. steps for using the 3-d analyzer software, *first download the file from here, *then extract that software and open the software, *then, select the exe file of the game that you want to run, *choose the select option, *then you can choose the attributes the options you require to play the game,*the attributes may be pixel shader or disable rendering in the game or emulation or some other options specified, *then, enter the device id and the vendor id for the graphics card you need from the available graphics card on the right.*i would suggest the ati radeon 9800pro to run most of the games like fifa 08/09 or prince of persia two thrones/sands of time, *then choose the run option and then i assure that the game would run for you at a decent/playable speed. note:1.if it shows any error that a file is not found pls reinstall the software.2.if the screen turns black/blank then play with the options in the s/w, by trial and error method,if fortunate, may be,you'll be able to run your favorite game.3.if pixel shader/shader version x.x not found, then select the appropriate shader model and run the game. all the best..happy gaming..if any queries post it below.how to: use 3d analyzer video at Internet
anyone knows how the HD 2500 compares to the 3000 and 4000? I'm mostly looking for improved video transcoding compared to my Pentium G620 and don't really need the "gaming" graphics capabilities. But I haven't been able to find any information as to how the HD 2500 compare.
I've completed a new custom build, but have had problems with BSOD from the beginning with any installation of Intel Graphics drivers or the installation of any graphics card.
When I first completed the build, the XFX-7950 Black was installed. I booted to BIOS without issue, but when I inserted the Windows 7 (64 bit) it would boot through the windows logo screen but immediately BSOD right after going to the first install screen.
I removed the graphics card, and was able to complete the full Windows install without issue. I updated Windows and the drivers on the system but as soon as I installed the Intel 3000 Graphics driver, it would BSOD on every restart. I recovered back prior to the Graphics driver install and installed all other drivers. I updated the BIOS to the latest version.
I have reattempted the XFX 7950 multiple times in different slots, but with the same results. I also attempted my Radeon HD 4550 from my old computer but it gave the same results. It always boots through the Windows logo screen, but BSOD within a few seconds of reaching the password screen.
I broke down and installed Driver Whiz, which did detect multiple outdated drivers that I had not caught, but none of these fix the issues.
I've attached the requested zip. I don't think all BSOD's are showing up, as I've had to use recovery points after installed drivers didn't work. The last .dmp on 19 JUL was a Intel Graphics driver install attempt that I pulled off in safe mode before recovering back to the pre-driver point.

I wanted to know if i can run windows 7 with a Intel82845G Graphics Controller i did download the windows 7 upgrade advisor but it had a question mark next to it so i want to know if itll run with that.
I was playing total war shogun 2 on windows 7. Diagonal lines started shooting out of the characters, square block patterns start flashing all over the place. The graphics got progressevley worse and worse so i took in. They tested the graphics card and it was fine so they restarted the computer and then windows crashed. They reinstalled windows 7 and i started putting everything back together.
I just put total war back on my computer and started playing and its started again. I restarted my computer and all that came back was a blinking undersscore. Luckily i shutdown and it started normally but the graphics are still messed up.
