Request Could Not Be Performed Because Of I / O Error 0x8007045D
Nov 6, 2011
I'm having trouble with my hard drive, it's a WD elements 320gb hard drive and when I try to put anything on it or take thing off it it give me this message saying it was unable to do it because of an unexpected error "error 0x8007045D: the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error" I have some important files on this hard drive.
Backup keeps giving me this error now out of the blue 0x8007045D "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error". I've done the disk check (finally) and it came back clean. I've tried the shrink volume tactic as well, which of course didn't work. I'm trying to do this back up on an HP 500gb external drive?
I connect the sata Hard Disk throw usb cable.after that i am not able to access the Hard disk.It is ditected in Disk management, but not able to see in My computer.I tryed ti initializa the HDD but it getting error.i get below error.
"the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error"
I have a dell computer on windows 7, I am getting an error code 0X8007045D i also cannot boot my computer to the home screen, it takes me to the system recovery options i did the command chkdsk /f /r but it tells me "windows cannot run disc check on this volume because it is write protected what do i do now?
I am trying a fresh install of win 7 ultimate after installing a new hdd (it is compatable). After a period of time the following error pops up:error code 0x8007045D win 7I am trying to run chkdsk ?:/f on a PC that has windows and is running using an usb connection to the disk that I want to checkMy problem is when I enter cmd mode it automatically only shows C: etc. What I need to do is change the drive letter to check the other hdd connected to the usb e.g e:
I have an HP tx2627cl table notebook (swivel screen), Win 7 Home prem OS, 4GB ram and a Seagate ext HD (75GB free of 279GB) which will not allow me to backup. I get error message 0x8007045D because of "an i/o device error". I can copy files to that external HD (I, but can't use Windows Backup. I did a check disk of I:/ and got no errors. When I click on Backup to I:/, it starts, says it is creating a shadow copy, runs for a couple of minutes (about 5-6%) then I get the above error message. I have switched USP ports, and tried doing a backup from a "clean boot state" with the recommended settings--all to no avail.
used my Go Pro yesterday and was trying to get some vid off of it(2.39gb worth) and it gets about half way then I get the error. Also Im not sure if this is unrelated but I keep getting a trojan warning from mcafee(I know its not that great but I get it for free soo..) Anyway mcafee says there is 2 trojans on my computer but it cant delete but when I scan with malwarebytes it shows nothing
i cant install windows 7 on my new computer, got the hdd from my old laptop, idk how to format it but when i click new in windows 7 cd menu it pops up with error : Failed to create a new partion on the selected unused space :Error: 0x8007045d I have also tried : format c:/ in cmd and diskpart or something like that.
So I'm not exactily sure when it happened? From the sounds of it, it was when installing the mircrosoft updates sometime last week?? Anywho.. I noticed when trying to run ANY troubleshooter on my Windows 7 (starter, weak I know). Wether it be a network troubleshooter, or the windows update trouble shooter.. any of them I always get one of the following errors: 0x8007045D or 0x800705B4. The further along I got, the more my comp would freeze up, NOT RESPONDING.... 5 minutes to unfreeze each action, then 2 seconds beofre it would freeze up all over again. GRR. So with my own style of troubleshooting.. System Restore... Nope. Didn't fix it. Tried the "FIX-IT" from MS website, as there were known UPDATE issues that sounded similaar.
But it didn't work either. Then saw the recommended CMD, scannow thingy... But no matter how many times I try.. it always freezes at 55% even leaving it on over night. Sigh. I am pretty BLONDE when it comes to computers, anything past standard maintence is far beyond meI have a GATEWAY LT27 Netbook (manf:nov.2011, no warranty) 32bit. NO Disc drive, and it says I have Service Pack 1, I don't know if that has been updated? and that is why I am broken?
i had to reinstall my windows 7 64x dell inspiron 1750 laptop using my windws 7 home premium disc that came with my laptop when i bought it because it was in a constant starup repair loop. the disc worked find until i got to the part where it said "expanding windows files." it was stuck at 0% after a whilr and then a message popped up that said error code:0x8007045D. during the time when it was expanding windows files i could hear my disc running, but after a while it stops.when i tried running the disc again, the error code message didn't pop up, but the expanding windows files was stuck at 0% forever. when i tried turning on my computer without using the disc, it goes directly from the "finding window files" screen to startup repair. it tells me that it can't fix the problem and i click on a link that tells me that the problem is that my boot configuration is corrupt. i have also ried cleaning my disc and it doesn't look like there's any stratches on it.
emachines em350 netbook with windows 7 installed. For some reason it got messesd up and he tried to do a system restore. Since then when you try to boot up its saying input a password to unlock the harddrive which we dont know. After you input wrong code 3 times you get option to continue which takes you to black screen saying no bootable device detected press any key to continue. Next i tried to do clean install with windows 7 from a usb this goes fine untill it asks for missing cd/dvd driver i have found away round this which is to select cancel then when back on install now screen swap the usb to another port and continue. This works so i select terms and so on then get to part where it asks where to install windows now i have formated and made a active partition on the hard drive but when i try to click next i get error code 0x8007045d this is where im stuck.
i've recently decided to reinstall windows 7 64bit because my computer started freezing up occasionally while browsing, playing games or even watching Internet videos... the freezes would pass after a few minutes and the computer would recover and start up/shut down would take a long time as well. so i thought that reinstalling windows might work as i haven't done it in a long while. but i encountered a problem while installing windows 7 64bit, i receive these errors (0x8007045d and later after trying a few things it changed to 0x80070002 both times it stated something about files missing or being corrupt) while on the "extracting windows files" section of the setup.
i've done a clean install every single time and formated my hdd (seagate barracuda 7200.10 320gb) but got an error every single time but at various %'s (once it went up to 70% other times it would get stuck as soon as 5%). i've tried switching ram's, switching dvd drives, disconnecting my gpu but nothing seems to work... has my hdd died? or perhaps my mobo or cpu is acting up? i burned my windows 7 iso's myself via imgburn - i've used the slowest possible burn speed (x2) and did it multiple times but every single dvd gave same error. also i've tried multiple iso's and downloaded them multiple times as well to confirm they didn't get corrupted while downloading.
my specs: os: formatted hdd right now but previously i used windows 7 64bit motherboard: intel bearlake g31 (i think, not sure... its such an old mobo) cpu: intel core 2 duo 3.3ghz gpu: geforce 9600gt - tried removing but didn't work ram: ocz 2x2gb 800mhz ddr2 - tried switching to an exact same pair from another computer but it didn't work hdd: seagate barracuda 7200.10 320gb dvd-rom: not sure but i tried two different ones, both producing errors
I have been trying to back up all my important data onto an external hdd. The external hdd i am using is a WD 2tb. I am currently running Win 7 x64 with 2 x hdd wd 2tb set-up in raid 1 for hdd failure. I would like the external one as a backup weekly in case of file corruption. However when i go into setup, i get the following msg "The request is not supported" Error 0x80070032. I have read through a few threads on this forum with regards to task scheduler and event log they all seem to be set as required. There is also suggestion that win 7 may not be able to handle large hdd sector size, something about 4k versus 512.

I was having some problems with my computer. Seemed like it had a minor virus that my Norton wasn't getting rid of. I have all my files backed up so I decided to start with a clean slate and just restore my computer back to factory settings.i have a Dell Inspiron laptop. I performed the Dell DataSafe Restore and Emergency BackUp. I followed all the instructions and everything went fine. It told me it was successful and to restart the computer. I restarted and now Windows 7 will not work.i turn my computer on and a screen comes up that says "Windows Error Recovery" it gives me two options to "Launch Startup Repair" or "Start Windows Normally"... Starting normally just sends me backwards. I tried the Start Up Repair and it begins to run and then I get an error that it can not repair. There are some problem details/signatures if that is helpful but I don't understand them.I can't run in safe mode. I never made a set of recovery discs, I only have the disc the computer came with (drivers and software installation).
Today I decide to make a clean install of Windows.Boot from DVD and try to install ... when goes to 25 - 50% give me this error: 0x8007045DTelling me that are broken files (whatever). I try with a different DVD but the result is the same.I need to work and I can't install Windows.
I've got Visual InterDev 6 installed using Seamless XP Mode.If I open a file on the host disk, which opens interdev I cannot save any changes, and I get this error:"The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open" If I save to a new file in the same folder, it saves ok, but any subsequent edits return the same error if I try to save.Is this a permissions problem with windows 7 and XP mode, or a quirk with the old interdev software?
I want to check my hard drive for errors, and go through: C/Properties/Tools/ Error Checking/Check Now , etc., but when I do this, I am told that I have to restart my system before it will run. But when I either simply Restart, or Shut Down then restart, the CHKDSK does not run. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.
I am using W7, home premium on 1 year old HP desktop computer.Recently, I was having trouble accessing videos from you tube, email and other sites. I had been using adobe flash player 9 and I was told to upgrade adobe flash and to get version 11. I installed version 11 but it would not play until I lowered my privacy settings from medium high to medium per instructions on Adobe. The flash player worked after that except now I am constantly getting the following message everytime I launch IE 9 and every time I go to a web site. The error message is always similar to this -"Privacy Alert The website (AZh).com has requested to save a file on your computer called a cookie. Do you want to allow?Allow or block"I am currently getting this message many times a day. No matter if I select block or allow, they keep coming back. This happens on all sites and often is unrelated to the site I am visiting.
Basically.. I have a orange LED light that blinks like crazy when I'm downloading something.. but what's wierd is.. Once I've finished the download, Sometimes.. It just keeps blinking forever!
That tells me that it's downloading from somewhere and I can't tell from where exactly.. Luckily.. Uninstalling the wireless driver & reinstalling it solves the problem but it tends to come back eventually..
So what I am requesting from you fine people here @ SevenForums is for some type of Internet Bandwidth Monitor which I can use to see where my laptop is downloading from & hopefully stop it completely so that I may use my broadband speed for something more.. For me & less for what I don't want.
I am using FreeAgent Go 5oo GB , when I try safely remove FreeAgent Go always show the error massage " Seagate FreeAgent Go USB device can not be uninstalled right now because the system request system restart " and I have to restart every time.I have already tried the following :
1. Close all application and end recent file process.
2. Check " don't remove file to the recycle bin, remove file immediately when delete" in the recycle bin.
3. Disable write caching on the device in devive property "policy" tab.
4. Using third party sync.exe to flushes disk buffers together with HotSwap!.exe yet still shown the same error massage.
I run a web server from my laptop, and my IP address (location) gets updated via DynDNS.org servers. My notebook is always behind a NAT-configured LAN, and I have configured the router firewall to pass port 80 service requests to my IP (usually 192.168.x.2, where x is maybe 0 or 1 or whatever.I use NetSetMan for location based setting).the DHCP server is configured to stay away from static addresses in the private LAN.Most routers have their own port 80 service, the configuration interface, accessible by hosts inside the LAN.I don't have a problem with port 80 service requests coming from the WAN getting passed to 192.168.x.2 host running the web server.BUT, users in the 192.168.x subnet requesting service from within the LAN do NOT get delivered the web page from host 192.168.x.2, but instead the router's configuration interface, if they use the host NAME. Of course, if they use the host IP address, they get the content. What is happening of course is that if anyone uses url..., it goes to DynDNS.org where the IP is resolved to the address a.b.c.d, the WAN IP address of the router I am currently connected to. So the http client bundles the packet to the destination a.b.c.d:80.The users INSIDE the LAN get the router configuration interface web page when they type in a.b.c.d:80, but not users OUTSIDE the LAN (in that WAN).
I use a windows 7 OS and on january 25, 2013 my computer possibly downloaded a virus or something. I know my way around the computer on an intermediate level but cannot find any strange exe files. I have nortons and it did not stop this download. I think my files are on the computer since 300GB is still being used on my harddrive.
if i have posted inthe wrong section in apologis, I am using MSN Live 2011 When i get asked for Remote assitance my client always disconnects and then says reconnecting in 59 seconds. The end requesting it gets the pass pages etc but by the time they put it in i have dicsonnected and reconnected by which time the seesion is invalid, I have the correct ports open and also tried all the advice i can see and find online.
I have installed windows XP mode for windows 7 and it works fine. I have even installed few apps that were not possible to be installed on win 7. I played with win 7 virtual PC and have few questions:
1. I see that system chosen 120 GB for this virtual Win XP, I was not asked about this and wonder if this could be changed. The originally C: system partition in win 7 is 300 GB. 2. When I use cmd command in run and type ipconfig, I see that correct IP address is displayed (192.168.1.65) since it works in private network and internet is working OK. But when I try to ping router (192.168.1.1) I get message that "request timed out" occurred. Of course, ping works in windows 7, and I have internet access in both win7 and virtual win xp.
On startup, my browser has started automatically and attempted to open the page.[code]I have tried searching the internet to find out what this relates to but there seems to be nothing mentioned. The website itself doesn't seem to exist (I get the normal 'This webpage is not available' tab). I have checked all of my browser settings and cannot find anything that references it.I thought it may have been related to the Kana Reminder program that I have, but I have been using that for many months without this coming up before.Or somewhere else I can check? I'm thinking that maybe something is in my registry but I don't want to go fiddling around without knowing exactly what I'm doing.
