i hve installed d3dx9_26.dll but after that when started my game it shows the message that 'please insert correct CD_ ROM, select OK and restart application'. It shows this msg again and again whenever I start the game.

Currently my sidebar not working properly. I can choose the gadgets that I want but when I drag it to desktop it doesn't show correctly . I restarted my PC many times and it still not working.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a M1530 on the cheap a few months and installed Win 7 x64 with a lot of research primarily from here. Everything worked perfect. The drive is a Teac DVW28SLC. It's a slot load and the only eject button is with volume and DVD controls above the keyboard. I needed to burn something to DVD. I decided to try Imgburn for the software.Installed it, popped a fresh DVD-R in. DVD drive recognized the blank. I usually reboot a computer before burning, realized I didn't so I rebooted. Now, the drive no longer works.
After the reboot:
-Drive is visible to bios.
-Drive cycles on boot up, checking for a disc.
-Drive is not visible in explorer
-Drive is not visible to diskmgmt.msc
-Drive is visible, not disabled and properly installed in the device manager.
-Card reader also seems to not be visible either but is showing up in device manager.
-Disc will not eject from keyboard button.
Things I've tried to fix it:
-Several reboots.
-Uninstall Imgburn.
-Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite.
-Uninstall Drive in Device Manager, then reboot.
-Uninstall Drive and ATA controllers then reboot.
-Delete upper and lower filers at HKLMSYSTEMCurrentCOntrol SetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, no entries were present.
-Reinstall chipset drivers, though I don't think Intel installer changed or installed anything.

my wireless net is not working even though the icon and the properties say "connected" when i disable the net and restart, it starts working for 1 few mins, and works without interruption in safe mode with networking, i have windows 7 professional on my laptop.

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery time I stick a DVD (game/movie) into the drive it comes up with an autoplay box with 1 option, to open the folder to view files. In Explorer the DVD shows up just as a generic DVD - basically as if it were just a blank disc for burning. If I 'explore' the disc there are no playable files, just an empty folder and a notepad document. I can't play the DVD in WMP, or any other player and can't start a game from the disc. This happened once before after burning a CD, the system just wouldn't recognise DVDs. It sorted itself out pretty quickly last time, this time, again after burning a CD, I can't get it to work.

I made another toolbar, and placed it directly adjacent to the Programs toolbar, to obscure the eight folders and force it to be a dropdown menu.Trouble is, as soon as I lock my taskbar, right next to the arrow that displays the eight items of my Programs toolbar in menu-form, one of the eight items is showing up as an icon, as if the other toolbar isn't close enough to the Programs toolbar in order to completely obscure the eight items.

DVD Tray opens and light comes on but does not play DVD. 1st USB port on left side gets - USB Device Not Recognized.One under it works and one on the right side works.OS Windows7 Ultimate. It is running kind of screwy so I wanted to reinstall Windows7 but with the DVD not operating Can't do it. Seems like maybe something in the register got erased or corrupted. View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm using Windows 7 Home Premium.My wireless connection has been working on and off for a while, but now it just refuses to work.The other computers in the wireless network are working just fine, so it must be definitely something in my laptop.I can detect the network just fine, with good signal.It says:

IPv4 Connectivity: No internet access
IPv6 Connectivity: No internet access
Also, in the activity there are Bytes sent and received, but I cannot connect to any webpage either with Chrome of Firefox I'm using McAfee Security Center. I tried turning off the firewall, but it still doesn't work.

I recently installed 64-bit Windows 7 on my new computer I built a few days ago and I have no clue as to why it only shows my memory at 4GBs. My BIOS show the same thing, however CPU-Z says I have the appropriate 6GBs. The "Maximum Memory" option is unchecked in msconfig, by the way. Does anyone know what may be causing this issue?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba Satellite, A305 S6905 with a New Install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.Bios was updated to latest 2.20 version. I put two new, matched 2 GB ram modules in it. It does not show but 2 GB installed even in the Bios. I checked both modules by putting each one seperately in the primary ram slot and both were showing up as good. I even put the old 2 GB and 1 GB modules I had before under Vista and it still only shows 2 GB installed.It only shows 2 GB installed and 1.87 useable..It boots OK and seems to run fairly smoothly but I have not put it to the test under some memory hog programs yet.

Although nothing is set in shedule processes, the 4 cores of the CPU are often going mad, with 70-80% of the 3 GB memory being used... Is there a program which tells me what the bl..... machine is doing. Perhaps a permanant window on the bottom of the screen? It is so frustrating as it slows down internet explorer and generally seems to be more interested in its own thing than my requests.

I transferred all my files from my old computer to my new computer and now when I go to insert pictures into my website, the pictures are not showing up as thumbnails so I can view all at the same time. I tried to log in through Other User but it's blocked with a Username and Password. I'm scared to loose all my stuff I have on there. I try to get on Safe mode to System Restore but the "Other User" still pops up and my account still isn't shown so I can't access my account(I'm using a different laptop to post this). I don't remember ever putting on a "Other User" account,. I don't want to loose any of my items I have on this PC. How can I remove this "Other User" and get my account back without loosing everything?
