my cmd is not working actually when putting some commands on it showing command not found but when i am using same command in system32 folder they are working?

I'm working on a computer and currently removing some viruses. I noticed a couple things,1) Trying to save to certain locations will come up with a permissions denied error. I tried to unzip a file to the desktop and got a permissions denied error.2) Typing commands in the start menu goes to search results instead of straight to that item. For example, typing "control" should bring up the control panel but it goes to search instead. Same with msconfig, appwiz.cpl, etc,

DVD Tray opens and light comes on but does not play DVD. 1st USB port on left side gets - USB Device Not Recognized.One under it works and one on the right side works.OS Windows7 Ultimate. It is running kind of screwy so I wanted to reinstall Windows7 but with the DVD not operating Can't do it. Seems like maybe something in the register got erased or corrupted. If I can get the DVD and USB port to work I won't have to reinstall Windows 7
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to run "netsh mbn show interfaces" from a .bat or .jar file on a Windows 7 64bit system but every time I run my file, it results in "The following command was not found mbn show interfaces". When I run that same command in a cmd.exe prompt, the result is correct and as expected. When we run /? we see "mbn" in available commands. When we output that same result from a .bat or .jar, we don't see that "mbn" command in the available commands for netsh.We know there are 2 netsh.exe files, one in sys32 and one in syswow64.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo way back when I installed windows on my SSD I made a system image restore doohickey, using the "Create A System Image" tool, once I had applied all the necessary settings, installed drivers, etc. Now, windows is experiencing problems and I wish to restore to this back up. How on earth do I do this? The images don't have any kind of runnable-files inside to use. And when I use the recovery disk it says it cant find any image. Ive explored windows various restore utilities and the likes, and at no point does it simply say something like "Please select the file location of your restore image". I have the system image doohickey just sitting there...how do I tell windows to just use that backup? It all seems to be trying to do it in some automated fashion..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been doing some searches using the search box that comes up when you press the colorful button on the bottom left. It finds nothing. I can have folders and WORD documents on my desktop, and it always comes up now with nothing found. If I create a test Folder, or WORD document, put on the Desktop, it won't find them. Always used to work fine. Only difference now is that I put in a new HD after the old one failed. Everything else seems to work fine.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a M1530 on the cheap a few months and installed Win 7 x64 with a lot of research primarily from here. Everything worked perfect. The drive is a Teac DVW28SLC. It's a slot load and the only eject button is with volume and DVD controls above the keyboard. I needed to burn something to DVD. I decided to try Imgburn for the software.Installed it, popped a fresh DVD-R in. DVD drive recognized the blank. I usually reboot a computer before burning, realized I didn't so I rebooted. Now, the drive no longer works.
After the reboot:
-Drive is visible to bios.
-Drive cycles on boot up, checking for a disc.
-Drive is not visible in explorer
-Drive is not visible to diskmgmt.msc
-Drive is visible, not disabled and properly installed in the device manager.
-Card reader also seems to not be visible either but is showing up in device manager.
-Disc will not eject from keyboard button.
Things I've tried to fix it:
-Several reboots.
-Uninstall Imgburn.
-Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite.
-Uninstall Drive in Device Manager, then reboot.
-Uninstall Drive and ATA controllers then reboot.

I've installed all drivers listed on the page for a 64 bit system but when I try to install the "Intel Wireless LAN Driver (For Intel Model Only)" driver or Proset driver, the driver extraction begins, ends, but when the setup is meant to run, nothing happens. I've redownloaded it and attempted to install it twice to no avail.Basically, I cannot connect to the internet and Windows cannot detect my network adapterI can't call Toshiba support because their operating hours are when I'm at school.casionally, when I try running the driver I mentioned before and the extraction is complete, when I select "No" as to whether I want to run the file, Windows gives me the error: "Archive Extractor -- Error occured in system module [-135]".

In UNIX, cd $JAVA_HOME changes the path to the value set for JAVA_HOME,

Every time I stick a DVD (game/movie) into the drive it comes up with an autoplay box with 1 option, to open the folder to view files. In Explorer the DVD shows up just as a generic DVD - basically as if it were just a blank disc for burning. If I 'explore' the disc there are no playable files, just an empty folder and a notepad document. I can't play the DVD in WMP, or any other player and can't start a game from the disc. This happened once before after burning a CD, the system just wouldn't recognise DVDs. It sorted itself out pretty quickly last time, this time, again after burning a CD, I can't get it to work.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been using XP for 6 years and just switched to Windows 7 3 days ago when I got a new computer.
The default image viewing is Windows Photo Viewer, which is fine. I am running Fireworks MX (yes, I know it's old, but I can't afford to buy a newer version), and sometimes I'd like to open images directly with that in order to edit them. So I right click on them and do open with --> Fireworks MX. Fireworks MX correctly appears in the "open with" list, but even when I choose it, it still opens the photo in Windows Photo Viewer.
So my workaround so far as been manually opening Fireworks MX and then dragging the photo into it, but obviously I shouldn't have to do that. I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit if that matters.
I recently ran a new program named Power Tool Lite. Now all the commands have disappeared and now the new ones won't hold. When I open Run there's only a blank field where the commands used to be. Is it possible to get them back or if I start the list over again how to make them stay after they are typed in?
