Computer Sounds Coming Through The Speakers?
Feb 16, 2011Got some speakers for my PC and they make an annoying whistling sound and when my PC makes a noise like a disk whirring it is amplified through the speakers.Also, when I scroll up and down a webpage for example it makes extra noises.

And when i try to update my audio drivers, they say it is up to date.

Mar 2, 2012i have strange clicking or cracking sound intermittently. it look like a static interference noise (but it is not a static interference) this is worst when i'm listening to a video on Internet.
clicking or static could be hear, even when the video as stopped. look like the system can't keep up i played with the sound mixer. i got many applications running at the same time that sent me sound indicators
the clicking sound is lowered when i lowered the sound on the : "sound system", leaving the others on the max level. when clicking or static do occurs, i could clearly see on the system sound level bar, the increase or the movement that occured in the "system sound" application
this is clearly an electronic or drivers problem, not a speaker or physical one
Different Noise , Glitch, Crack Coming Out Of Speaker / Headphone?
Jul 3, 2012Since few month, I got strange sound coming out of the speaker. Since I don't listen too much music, I did not look to resolve the problem The noise is always present, but I could hear glitching when i play with my mouse wheel.When mouse is dragged travel trough some pages, I could hear clicking sound in the back.I did try to turn off every device that interface with the sound, no luck.My PC board is an old Asus P5B with the sound controller?

Dec 29, 2012none of my error sounds are working!!! it doesn't matter if they are the default sounds or custom ones, they won't work!!! they won't even work when I go into system sounds and hit 'test' still no sound played but if I navigate to C:\windows\media and double click the sound files, they play in Windows Media Player just fine they just won't work when the error sound needs to I tried restarting the computer but still NONE of my error sounds will work!!! I also tried to reassociate the error sounds in the system sound setting but still won't sound the startup and shutdown sounds DO NOT work either.

Jan 8, 2013Just recently I have not been able to get sound on my computer (All In One Desktop). Neither sound nor system sounds. I believe it started when I started plugging in my earphones into the jack. I can hear sounds (movies, video) and I can also hear the system sounds. When I unplug the earphones from the jack, there is no sound. I have tried all the website links on how to fix it, I've looked to make sure nothing is muted. I just find it odd that my sounds work fine through earphones

Feb 6, 2012For a long time i have ignored a problem with my laptop which is a Acer Aspire 5739G, and that is i hear crackling from my speaker on the laptop itself and speakers i plug into my laptop. It's getting a little annoying due to i listen to music from when i get up to i go to sleep and i have some spare time right now so i thought why not try to fix it. Sep 9, 2010So yesterday I bought these quadrophonic speakers from a friend. The problem is, that only front right is working (everywhere- in test, windows sound, music, games etc.)... I thought that the other speakers might be bad, switched them but no- now when the FR speaker is the different one, it is still working and the others are not... I plugged the green wire in the green socket, the black one (rear) in the black socket, confirmed it in the realtek manager (front speakers, rear speakers)... I tried setting it to other mods (5.1, 7.1), it�s the same, only front right speaker is working... I downloaded the newest driver (2.52 or whats the newest one) both from gigabyte and realtek...When I plug the green wire in my notebook headphones socket, both speakers work ok (I have Windows 7 ultimate on my notebook to, but the sound card is not realtek hd)...

Apr 28, 2012One day my sound was working fine, and then after spending a long day of sound editing (with headphones in) sound suddenly stopped working from the internal speakers. Sound works from my headphones when they are plugged in but not my speakers and drivers are working properly. Now, here is the odd thing... whenever I change the volume for the 'Independant Headphones' from the sound panel, the sound works fine from the speakers with no problem for about 2-3 seconds! The default is currently set to 'Speakers and Headphones'. I have tried unplugging and replugging headphones to make sure the jack switch is reset in both slots, still no luck!

Apr 1, 2011I bought a M1530 on the cheap a few months and installed Win 7 x64 with a lot of research primarily from here. Everything worked perfect. The drive is a Teac DVW28SLC. It's a slot load and the only eject button is with volume and DVD controls above the keyboard. I needed to burn something to DVD. I decided to try Imgburn for the software.Installed it, popped a fresh DVD-R in. DVD drive recognized the blank. I usually reboot a computer before burning, realized I didn't so I rebooted. Now, the drive no longer works.
After the reboot:
-Drive is visible to bios.
-Drive cycles on boot up, checking for a disc.
-Drive is not visible in explorer
-Drive is not visible to diskmgmt.msc
-Drive is visible, not disabled and properly installed in the device manager.
-Card reader also seems to not be visible either but is showing up in device manager.
-Disc will not eject from keyboard button.
Things I've tried to fix it:
-Several reboots.
-Uninstall Imgburn.
-Uninstall Daemon Tools Lite.
-Uninstall Drive in Device Manager, then reboot.
-Uninstall Drive and ATA controllers then reboot.
-Delete upper and lower filers at HKLMSYSTEMCurrentCOntrol SetControlClass{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}, no entries were present.
-Reinstall chipset drivers, though I don't think Intel installer changed or installed anything.
-Fixit does not work.

Dec 6, 2011Every time I stick a DVD (game/movie) into the drive it comes up with an autoplay box with 1 option, to open the folder to view files. In Explorer the DVD shows up just as a generic DVD - basically as if it were just a blank disc for burning. If I 'explore' the disc there are no playable files, just an empty folder and a notepad document. I can't play the DVD in WMP, or any other player and can't start a game from the disc. This happened once before after burning a CD, the system just wouldn't recognise DVDs. It sorted itself out pretty quickly last time, this time, again after burning a CD, I can't get it to work.

It seems when the HD starts working extra hard, I hear this "ding, ding, ding". One about every second as long as the HD is working hard. It doesn't seem to interfere with the operation, but I am always suspect of sounds that are new.
