View 4 RepliesI recently purchased DELL N5050 laptop. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate OS on it. I installed all the drivers required from this link: url...But whenever i play any media (viz., audio/video), only front-right speaker sound playing can be heard. The front-left speaker does not work. Its a brand new laptop. I tried re-installing all the drivers (which i thought may not have been installed properly).
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust bought a new set of desktop speakers. The volume and tone controls are on the right-side speaker. As I use my mouse, right handed, and the volume control more or less together for some work, this is a bit of a pain.
I can, of course, just move the speakers, but my son objects; for some videos and games, I guess it is important to have right-right, and left-left.
I have the Creative/Soundblaster audio setup. If I do interchange the speakers to the way I like, is there any option, anywhere, where I can have the left channel sound now going to the right speaker, and the right channel sound going to the left speaker ?
Creative, and the MS Audio options doesn't seem to have a way. I don't want to re-wire any plugs.
I'm having a problem with my audio. I just installed Windows 7 64 bit. Before I was using 32 bit, so it transferred all my old windows files to a folder called "Windows old". I deleted most of it and transferred the personal files I wanted to keep. Ever since the upgrade my left speaker would make a "pop" sound after I'd wake the computer from sleep mode and it would stop working. So what I've been doing to get the left channel to work is disabling then re-enabling the "Via High Definition Audio" driver. It also works if I reboot the PC. What is causing the left channel to go out after sleep mode? When it's out, it would "pop" once in a while, almost like it's trying to work.
Here are my specs:
Windows 7 64 bit with latest updates
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO Motherboard
AMD Athlon II x4 620 @ 2.6 (3.1 OC)
4 GB RAM of DDR3 (Upgrading to 8gb tomorrow)
XFX Ati Radeon 5770 (Xfire tomorrow)
We have Windows 7 at church and we run DVD's where we only use the right speaker, to take out the vocals. WE could do this in XP, but can we do it in Windows 7 and how?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with a Realtek HD Audio sound card. Whenever I use several headphones in the front jack, they all work perfectly fine. However, whenever I have my speakers (I tried using 2 different pairs of speakers to make sure it wasn't just one pair being affected) SECURELY inserted into the back green port of my computer, there is sound only coming from the left speaker while the right speaker is playing absolutely no sound. This happened to both pairs of speakers that I own.
I have tried the following and none worked:
- Update drivers
- Disable speaker and then enable
- Switching from back jack to front jack (vice versa)
- Balancing so that both L and R sounds are at an equal level
None of these common solutions that I found on this site have worked.
I have a problem in my pc that is the left speaker does not work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor a long time i have ignored a problem with my laptop which is a Acer Aspire 5739G, and that is i hear crackling from my speaker on the laptop itself and speakers i plug into my laptop. It's getting a little annoying due to i listen to music from when i get up to i go to sleep and i have some spare time right now so i thought why not try to fix it. Hope someone knows how to fix it or else point me to what may be making this noise, because i have tested a few things and i know it isn't any programs due to i deleted processes so i only had like 7 in the entire list

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I bought these quadrophonic speakers from a friend. The problem is, that only front right is working (everywhere- in test, windows sound, music, games etc.)... I thought that the other speakers might be bad, switched them but no- now when the FR speaker is the different one, it is still working and the others are not... I plugged the green wire in the green socket, the black one (rear) in the black socket, confirmed it in the realtek manager (front speakers, rear speakers)... I tried setting it to other mods (5.1, 7.1), its the same, only front right speaker is working... I downloaded the newest driver (2.52 or whats the newest one) both from gigabyte and realtek...When I plug the green wire in my notebook headphones socket, both speakers work ok (I have Windows 7 ultimate on my notebook to, but the sound card is not realtek hd)...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI came home and set up a dual monitor for my computer, mainly so I can still do things on the 2nd monitor whilst playing a game. Half way through trying to figure out how I could get things where I wanted them my left ALT key decided to stop allowing me to alt+tab. If I hold it down it gives me the little window that allows me to switch between my programs, but it won't actually go to them it just stays stuck on that selector. Makes no sense to me due to if the ALT key was dead I wouldn't be able to get half way through alt+tabbing correct?Anyways, it also stopped working as my push-to-talk on my Teamspeak 3 Client. Again, thought maybe the key was bad BUT it still works as a push-to-talk on my Mumble client.
View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week, I made a fresh installation of a Windows 7 x64 copy on my PC. I haven't touched it ever since until today. Installed some games, like AC Revelations. When I tried playing it, I found that the Up+Left Arrow key combination on the keyboard was not working and when I pressed them, the speaker gave out beeps just like when you press so many keys at once. All other combos works perfect but the up+left doesn't work not only in-game, but also outside games for general use. Whenever I press the keys, continuous beeps are being heard. I tried restarting my system and unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard. It's not working, and the problem's still there. I tried downloading KeyboardTest program and when I press the combo, it's not appearing and the beeps starts.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have suddenly lost the ability to use my control+left or right arrows. Not just in word but on all places I type using the computer, even this message!I use this key constantly as I am a secretary and do lots of documents and letters and it is driving me nuts not being able to use this function. When I reboot I sometimes get the function back for a short while then it disappears again.I have just had a brand new computer put in but it happened sometimes on my old PC too so I don't think it's a hardware issue. I am wondering if I have accidentally hit a combination of keys to disable it or something.

I'm new to the forums.. but Recently my up and left keys will not work for some reason, I don't know why (no water damage or anything). But What really concerns me is that the up key is also my brightness up key. I turned my brightness all the way down on accident, now is there any way I could bring it back up?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded and installed windows 7 from the microsoft site, now my sound won't work. I tried updating it but nothing. I have the latest realtek drivers AC'97 audio and the high definition audio in the device manager but both have a yellow exclamation mark next to them. Then when I click on it, it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
Any help? School starts in a week and a half and i need audio for classes. What can I do?
My right speaker is busted, only my left speaker works. On my dual boot Windows XP, I could move all of my sound to my left speaker, but on Windows 7, I see no way to do this.
Is there a way to do it on Windows 7? Or maybe a program is needed to intercept the sound to make it go to the left speaker?
How can I increase speaker volume beyond the max settings in volume control?
