View 2 RepliesI have just done a fresh install from vista to Windows 7 7100. All drivers are installed and working fine but I dont seem to be getting any sound out of my internal laptop speakers.
I plugged in headphones and they work fine, i never had a problem in Vista. I have install the latest Realtek 223 codecs and still no joy, I'm in the middle of trying some older versions but does anyone else have any ideas?
Headset is not working when I talk in skype a/c. When I listening the songs the headphones are working.
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne day keyboards stopped functioning and it hasn't worked since. The problem is on a home built desktop computer and any and all types of keyboards. I've sat on this problem for a while since I also have a laptop and have used that for activities that require extensive typing and I can still use the onscreen keyboard to use the desktop. I wish I'd done a system restore when the problem was still fresh but I didn't think of that immediately, and it's been several months now since it started. Keyboards work fine in BIOS, but not in safe mode. All attempts at updating or reinstalling drivers have not resolved the issues. My last resort will be to reinstall Windows but I want to find an alternative fix before going there. Using Home Edition 64 bit...
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my OS to Win 7, but I realised that when I play any sound, it come out of my speakers fine, but my headphones has no sound at all. How do I solve it? I plugged my headphones into the original jack, I have also tried plugging them into the other jacks, but still there is no sound. If I plug my headphones into the jack I plug my speakers in, there is sound in my headphones though ..

View 4 Replies View Related[code] So I bought a new computer not too long ago and I've had some issues with my headset and whatnot. I have a ASUS Xonar DX sound card with an optic fibre cable for my Logitech Z-5500 system and they worked just fine with it.However, when I bought my headset (Steelseries 7H Fnatic, normal non-USB) I had issues. When I plugged them into my motherboard it couldn't find them. And when I tried to plug them into my Xonar card, people I was skyping with could hear my sounds (videos I watched etc) even though I had earplugs. So I removed the card and decided I'd go with the normal drivers etc. So I checked ASUS website and got the drivers.I installed the drivers (Xonar drivers uninstalled clean before) and it asks me to reboot. I reboot and I get the message: "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." from the system tray. I run dxdiag and no sound card is detected (it's just empty where there should be driver names etc). In the control panel there is no Realtek option etc. When I check the folder it only has 2 folders:Drivers and InstallShield. They contain files named RtlUpd64 (application), USetup.iss and the InstallShield contains Rtkupd64 (application).
I uninstalled/reinstalled and rebooted etc several times but I never get it in the control panel or the system tray. BIOS etc are the lastest for my motherboard, and I never had this issue before. In BIOS the settings are to HD audio. I'm pretty sure I haven't screwed up the assembly of the computer, because I've been building my own for a very long time. In the control panel I can currently see "Digital Audio (HDMI)" 2 through 5 (2,3,4,5) and they're not plugged in it says. On recording there is nothing.
How to get output on external speaker by using external microphone via laptop.(window 7,xp and vista)
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy windows 7 professional 32bit on my laptop has a problem. Everytime I turn it on, my laptop screen is white (and fades in some hints of black) and nothing shows up. However, sometimes I am able to get a display on an external monitor.
Before my computer loads my desktop it does a startup repair. What ends up happening is that it does a system restore and my computer is able to boot up normally on my external monitor (laptop screen still white). Once everything loads, my computer automatically looks for and installs a VGA controller driver (at this point I am suspecting something may be wrong with my graphics card because I no longer have the windows aero theme).
Once the VGA drivers are installed, my computer says it has to restart so that changes can be made. After the restart, everything is back to normal with my laptop screen working again and now I have the aero theme again. What is the problem? I've been trying to fix this for weeks. It should be noted that I can't always get the display onto my external so I have to keep on force restarting (holding onto the power button) until I can get it on the external.
I installed a new driver for my graphics card and it hasn't fixed the problem. I know there is a virus on my computer (file is tdx.sys). I am going to replace that file with a new one following some instructions from another forum but I don't want to do that yet because I am currently writing exams and not much of a tech savvy person. I don't want to mess around with system files until at least after my exams so I can back up everything.
My friend's laptop has a weird problem. It was running vista fine, sound worked and everything. One day, the internal speakers randomly stopped emitting any sound. However, they do make sound effect sounds while the computer is booting.I figured it was a software problem, so he just reformatted and installed 7. Same problem. Makes the booting up noises, "Gamers Republic... BOOM", obviously coming from the internal speakers.

View 5 Replies View Relatedso i finally decided to install Windows 7 x86 - everything went well - put all the standard stuff on there etc - i rebooted many times because of installations and updates
on my last reboot it just got stock in the bios screen (verifying dmi pool data..success! etc)
so i rebooted, same thing, took the disc out, same thing - turned off boot devices same thing
tried to use window's useless repair tools (whatever happened to repair install?) which didn't help - so i decided to format and reinstall - then it says it was unable to do that (partition error or something)
the annoying this is...is that this EXACT..i mean EXACT same thing happened when i installed vista sp1 from scratch - this happened - and to fix it i had to leave my pc open overnight with the hard drive cables all unplugged..in the morning with my fingers crossed i tried the installation again - and it worked.
my d: always disappears (single hard disk sata 233gig (250)) - sometimes it'll vanish from my computer and stuff - but this can't be the problem because the d: is a single drive on its own - my c: is a25gig partition from my e: - so it's completely unrelated.
does it matter how i replug the sata cables (2 of them) into the mother board? - they're both being recognised anyway
this is really annoying though - mostly because there isn't really an explanation - and because this random stuff always happens to my pc! - is it my hard drive because that's the only thing that would half- make sense
For a long time i have ignored a problem with my laptop which is a Acer Aspire 5739G, and that is i hear crackling from my speaker on the laptop itself and speakers i plug into my laptop. It's getting a little annoying due to i listen to music from when i get up to i go to sleep and i have some spare time right now so i thought why not try to fix it. Hope someone knows how to fix it or else point me to what may be making this noise, because i have tested a few things and i know it isn't any programs due to i deleted processes so i only had like 7 in the entire list

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I bought these quadrophonic speakers from a friend. The problem is, that only front right is working (everywhere- in test, windows sound, music, games etc.)... I thought that the other speakers might be bad, switched them but no- now when the FR speaker is the different one, it is still working and the others are not... I plugged the green wire in the green socket, the black one (rear) in the black socket, confirmed it in the realtek manager (front speakers, rear speakers)... I tried setting it to other mods (5.1, 7.1), its the same, only front right speaker is working... I downloaded the newest driver (2.52 or whats the newest one) both from gigabyte and realtek...When I plug the green wire in my notebook headphones socket, both speakers work ok (I have Windows 7 ultimate on my notebook to, but the sound card is not realtek hd)...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently switched from XP to Win7. Most things worked fine, except for the internet. At first the "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller" didn't work. But I found a driver for that one. Now there are just two things left: the "PCI Simple Communications-controller" does not work and the "Intel H5 Express chipset LPC interface controller - 3B06" isn't working either. I found these problems in the Device Manager.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI mainly use Google Chrome as my internet browser and about a week ago it started acting up. It would get stuck on a page or would repeatedly send me back to my homepage. I was able to use Skype, Ventrillo, World of Warcraft, etc. My AVG wasn't catching any problems, but the problem was happening. I would restart the computer and the browser would work fine for a little while, then stop.Following CNET's advise, I installed CCleaner and Malware Software and ran them.No problems detected.I found a similar forum here. Browsers not working, internet connection is fine And tried everything that was suggested to that user, but still no luck with my computer.I spent an hour+ with AVG Tech Support trying to resolve the issue to no prevail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I connect to my work VPN, then IE refuses to load any pages (inside the work network or outside). It doesn't even appear to try, just goes immediately to "Internet Explorer cannot display this page." I was able to connect to the computer with teamviewer remotely, name resolution worked properly, I was able to ping the web server etc. all fine, even brought the page up in FF and Chrome with no problems. I turned off all add-ins and restarted IE, same deal. If I disconnect from the VPN then IE works fine again. I was running IE9, I tried uninstalling it but having the same issue with IE8.
