i am deployed and my wife got me a new computer from best buy online from toshiba for me and sent it its a good computer but it says the speaker driver is not installed on it and i pulled it out of the box bran new?
I recently purchased DELL N5050 laptop. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate OS on it. I installed all the drivers required from this link: url...But whenever i play any media (viz., audio/video), only front-right speaker sound playing can be heard. The front-left speaker does not work. Its a brand new laptop. I tried re-installing all the drivers (which i thought may not have been installed properly).
See my computer specs below. I feel that I might need to update a sound driver because I recently got new speakers and they only play sound from the right speaker, like my old previous ones. My old ones might still have both speakers working. And I tested the new speakers with my phone and both speakers would work, so the issue is with my computer.
I have a computer with external active speakers connected to the 3.5mm phone plug. I'm using win 7 32-bit and when I start my computer the speaker starts to make strange sounds, almost sounds like an old modem. I have disabled the start-up sound since I don't want that, the noise is there until I do anything with the sound driver, or so it seams. If I for example I play a sound or even mute/enable the cd volume the sound stops and don't come back until the next time the computer is started. I have had the computer on for a long time without doing anything and the sound don't stop until I do something with any sound or sound setting.
Additional things I have tried so far to fix the problem but not succeeded:
1. I have been into BIOS and the sound does not start in BIOS, it is when windows is starting the sound starts.
2. Re-installed driver
3. Tried to set the register DrvAzComIdlePowerState and a few more to 00 00 00 00.
Every now and then my WiFi stops working, and if I go to dev mgr, the General tab tells me that "No drivers are installed for this device" for device status. On the other tabs, however, I have all the details on the installed driver, and if I ask Windows to update the driver, it tells me that the best driver is already installed. The problem is solved by rebooting, but I find that annoying. I'd like to figure out WHY it does that. I've saved earlier versions of that particular driver from over the last three years, and the problem occurs with all of the drivers. This is a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system. The driver is an Intel driver; the one installed at this moment (it just happened again, and I have not rebooted, since I had a powerline enet outlet handy), and the version of the Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN is 14.3.1. I have other versions of that driver saved, from 13.2.1.5 to 15.1.1_Ds64. I had reverted to the 14.3.1 because the more recent versions seemed to be worse about the driver disabling itself or whatever it is doing.Coincidentally with this, the event viewer shows that mmc.exe was terminated because it was hanging. I had just run sfc yesterday, and there are no corrupt files that Windows cannot fix, and there weren't even any corrupt files that it DID fix.
How to install some software. Tried to download the "chipset" but obviously didnt do it properly. The pop up reads..."Device driver not successfully installed" the list that followed was.."Intel(R) ICH9 Family USB Host Controller 2934"
Windows 7- the atheros ar9287 wireless network adapter adapter is experiencing driver - or hardware- related problems I can not to the internet via wireless or via Ethernet. It also tells me that my Bluetooth is unplugged if that has anything to do with it.
I'm new here. I bought my eMachines ET1331 desktop with pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit a year ago. However, three months ago these lag-spikes started. I've been told by many that re-installing original network drivers can fix this problem. And, it makes sense, as these lag-spikes never occurred for just shy of a year. Is there a way to re-install a pre-installed driver without the CD? If not, is there a way to identify my pre-installed driver and download off the Internet?
I have a HP DV9000 (DV9610us). I installed a new motherboard, hard drive and Windows 7. I installed all drivers for the laptop, but have no sound. I have tried multiple options, but still no sound. I can hear a clicking sound every once in awhile (might be when a windows sound comes on). Also when I touch the mute and vloume up I can hear the clicking. I am stuck and out of options.Showing sound driver is Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221.Also 2 Base System Devices and 1 Coprocessor drivers are not letting me add drivers to them either, but I only care about the sound right now.
Im having a problem installing windows 7 on multiple hard drives and i dont know if its a problem with the hdd's itself or the installation setup. installation works fine on laptops but not on some harddrives i put on my open test bench. (though i have installed it on two harddrives on the same test bench.
the message i get is :
Select driver to be installed this then has a blank box a popup comes up: a requireds cd/dvd is missing. if you have a floppy disc, CD,DVD or flash USB drive, please insert it now.
Note: if you have the windows installation disc inside you can safely remove it now.
I've signed a device driver, still it is giving error "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)".
I got an 8 gb Crucial ram card and when I put it in my 2011 Acer Aspire and started it there was a blue window saying that there was a driver problem, how can I fix this?
I have spent over 6 hours on my own trying various BIOS settings and what not, but cannot figure this thing out.I used to have an old HP build with "market" RAM and GPU and SSD.
Recently got an eVGA motherboard, and new GPU, and when I install Win7 Pro thru my installation disc, it says 'select the driver to be installed'. So, I put all the eVGA motherboard drivers and SATA drivers on a thumb drive, hooked it up to the back of my computer, tried to install from the drivers available, and then it said that the hardware was not detected on my machine...
Then I tried my wife's Win7 disc, thinking that my disc was corrupted. Same BS. I am so frustrated.I have tried loading my SSD both as IDE and AHCI, and same issue.
point me in the right direction??? I don't mind wiping my drives, I just want to use my damn computer.
...every time I boot my system, Windows says it is installing the SATA driver. BIOS entries are OK, once drivers are installed, Disk Management shows everything OK too. So, what could be the cause for this? I have two disks, the System SSD (OCD Vertex II 60GB SATA) must have its driver installed to boot Windows, so the msg must refer to the second HD (Seagate 1TB SATA
I installed Windows 7 64 Bit 6 days ago and Im still trying to find a solution to my nvidia drivers. I have a dell xps 1730 with nvidia's 8800 GTX SLI. I have been reading several forums and posts and Ive done just about everything theyve said to do and still no luck.
Here's the scoop, so I have downloaded 186.03_notebook_win7_64bit_international_whql from the nvidia site and 18172_win7x64 from nvision along with the modded inf file. Have installed both as described on both sites.
Ok, this portion happens with the nvidia site driver. It installs just fine the restart where the issues begin. Once it reboots and begins to load Windows 7 it freezes up the goes back to the bios and on to where it asks to do the starup repair thing or start window normal. So Ill hit start normal, same thing will happen. I choose to fix then I proceed to install all over again. Again, reboot same thing, I choose star normal and this time it goes to the screen where you see the cursor and it says welcome then suddenly crashes.
Now for the nvision site driver. Install is same both ways. Restart, goes thru bios now on this driver it hits the Windows 7 and immediately gives BSOD. So I reboot, again same thing. Once more only this time it goes thru and Im able to get into Windows 7 like nothing. Ok great, well not really. No nvidia panel, so I adjust the resolution go into driver manager to check the status and it says that it not working because it needs a restart, ok so I restart. Again BSOD over and over.
After every attempt I have to fall back to a previous restore point and still have had no luck.
Am I getting the wrong drivers? Is there something Im missing? Could it be just a Windows 7 issue?
I have an emachines em355 netbook with a Windows 7 professional in it. My webcam doesn't seem to work. I mean, it's working but i need a third-party application(Skype, webcam browser app like Neave) in order to use it. The device manager says it's installed and works just fine. How can i access my webcam directly? I saw other laptops and they have this webcam icon when you open My Computer. Mine doesn't have any. Also, I installed every available/recommended/compatible driver, each was installed perfectly but still, no direct access to webcam.
How can i move or transfer my installed games to the other drive so i can use it to for other purposes is there any way that i can transfer my installed games to the other drive.
I recently formatted my computer and today i went to razer's website to download the drivers for my razer deathadder. During installation a driver came up asking my permission to install it says G-Spy. I clicked yes... =/ because i became accustomed to clicking yes to everything ugh! I cant seem to find any drivers that were . Is there anyway i could search it up somehow?
I installed my audio driver for my gigabyte ud3 b3 motherboard. I got the driver from gigabyte's website. It is the 64 bit windows 7 version. Now I have realtek hd audio manager installed. I have a set of speakers plugged in which I know work because i plug the cord into my iphone and the speakers work great. Now I plug into the green input hole (which by the way, I should say that everything worked great before I recently reinstalled windows 7). When playing music I look at the mixer and see that all programs playing the music and the speakers have the green bar going up and down to the music. But the bar that says system sounds does not report any sound ( no green bar going up and down).
