View 3 RepliesI have a new pc with a Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3 motherboard and I plugged a Microsoft 600 Wired Keyboard into the rear port (designated for KB/Mouse by Gigabyte). The keyboard works in the BIOS, but when Windows 7 loads, the num lock light switches on, then Windows 7 says that "Driver not installed properly". In the Devices & Printers window, it shows an icon of the keyboard with a yellow exclamation mark and says "hardware not available". However, mouse continues to work. This happens in all the rear USB ports. If I plug the keyboard in the front port, Windows recognizes the keyboard, install the correct driver and it works! All the USB ports work fine otherwise (tested with thumb drive as well as mouse). I also tried with a Logitech K120 wired keyboard which also had the same problem.!!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba laptop, using Windows 7 (64bit) with IE9. I use Gmail and have installed their Notifier. When I attempt to use a webpage link to send an email or document, I get the error message, "default email client not properly installed".I have no clue what this means or how to fix it, so I attempted to research it online.I'd like to keep this a simple as possible. Can anyone walk me through the steps? I think I'd like to use Google & not Windows Live (have no idea why though), then I heard Post Box Express was simple, then I was told to press 'options' in my Notifier, but that went nowhere.

View 1 Replies View Relatedso out of the blue my internet stopped working and only mine (our house has 3 computers). i am the only one hooked up wit ha cable and i have tried 3 different cables, it keeps telling me the same thing "install a driver for your network adapter"so i went to the device manager and tried updating the driver of the network adapter but its telling me its up to date....the small text says word by word :"Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. if you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver."
View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then my WiFi stops working, and if I go to dev mgr, the General tab tells me that "No drivers are installed for this device" for device status. On the other tabs, however, I have all the details on the installed driver, and if I ask Windows to update the driver, it tells me that the best driver is already installed. The problem is solved by rebooting, but I find that annoying. I'd like to figure out WHY it does that. I've saved earlier versions of that particular driver from over the last three years, and the problem occurs with all of the drivers. This is a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit system. The driver is an Intel driver; the one installed at this moment (it just happened again, and I have not rebooted, since I had a powerline enet outlet handy), and the version of the Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN is 14.3.1. I have other versions of that driver saved, from 13.2.1.5 to 15.1.1_Ds64. I had reverted to the 14.3.1 because the more recent versions seemed to be worse about the driver disabling itself or whatever it is doing.Coincidentally with this, the event viewer shows that mmc.exe was terminated because it was hanging. I had just run sfc yesterday, and there are no corrupt files that Windows cannot fix, and there weren't even any corrupt files that it DID fix.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a "refurbished" Dell Optiplex GX 620. When I turned it on everything worked fine until it rebooted after an automatic Microsoft update was installed. Now I have no sounds. According to the Device Manager "Your sound card is not working properly because a compatible driver is not available for this version of Windows." (I'm running Win7). My sound card is a SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio. I have tried several SoundMAX drivers (found online) that said they were compatible but they don't work either.
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I started getting notifications and the such that said "Windows is not genuine." after letting a friend use my computer, I backed all my files up and re-installed Windows 7, but the drivers for the WLAN card didn't install correctly (probably because i had to borrow the boot disk from someone). So I used a friend's computer to download the drivers from HP, but after running the installation it opens for maybe a second (at least I can see the icon appear in the taskbar) and closes again. The model of my PC is HP 2000-299WM Notebook PC and is running windows 7.
View 3 Replies View Relatedrecently I downloaded and installed Spybot S&D, MBAM, and Comodo firewall on a computer of mine and shortly after(1 or 2 days) My Internet connection ceased. I assumed it was something Comodo was blocking so I tried disabling it and then un-installing it and neither changed anything. I tried pinging www.google.com and it failed. I tried pinging my router and it worked. and I tried having my router ping www.google.com and that worked. I also checked the device manager to see if anything was odd and I had a yellow "!" for my ethernet controller. So I whip out the cd for my motherboard and reinstall it and it is successful. I check the connection to the web and it fails. When I check the device manager it still shows a yellow "!" for the ethernet controller. I tried getting the latest set of drivers for my motherboard on another computer and the same results. My motherboard is a gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4 nvidia nForce 570 sli. It has a Nvidia nForce 10/100/1000 MBPS ethernet on-board adapter.
There are two entries in my device manager: ethernet controller (which has the "!") and nvidia nForce 10/100/1000 mbps ethernet (which displays fine in the device manager) The current driver package I am trying to install is this link. That is what nVidias drop down boxes give me when I enter in my information.I found some forums of people with similar issues but all the solutions tell them to use the device manager's tools to update the drivers but I haven't had any luck with that so far. I may be doing it wrong because those options never seem to work for me. Does anyone have any ideas on what can be going on here?I'm running windows 7 x64 and a AMD Phenom x4 quad core 2.2GHz
