Error: Email Client Not Properly Installed
I purchased an HP Pavillion All-In-One with Window 7 pre-installed on my computer. I successfully downloaded windows live mail. However when I try to send e-mail through my Verizon with msn mail account, an error message appears stating "email client not properly installed". If anybody has any suggestions, directions or help it would be greatly appreciated.

Where Is An Email Client ?
Windows "7" is better than Vista, but where is an email client? Where is Windows Mail, which came with Vista? Where is Movie Maker?I mean- you have a BS IE, which is just a ____ comparing to Opera or Firefox, but the finest email client you just dropped and what is the worst thing- you cant even download it from anywhere!! You must be out of your mind!! NOW I have a Eudora, another ____ email client. You are losing it. Definatly!! And that Movie Maker was fine too, but I need desperately a good email client, so please get it back. Windows Mail for Windows 7. At least, that I can download it from your site. I dont need a live mail, I need an offline email. I got live mails enough, I NEED A REALLY "DEAD" ONE and so do millions of others!! Why did MS drop it from Vienna 7? By the way, that 7 is not 7, so why Microsoft calls it that name? Its not the 7:th OS, no matter how hard MS calculates it.

Network consists of two (2) desktop PCs One (1) Using XP Home PC- Routed through WRT54G wired to PC (2) using Windows 7! Not able to get connected to internet using a Network setup. My previous setup was two (2) PC's using XP Home. Was able to establish setup, Internet Connection, Printer, HDD's, & Files using Linksys WRT54G could all be shared. Using onboard Lan as I have DSL. Even installed a LAN Card to PC using Windows 7 with the same results. Went to control panel & other devices show that Network Adapter not properly installed, Ethernet Network Controller not installed. When trying to install device software - Windows 7 always seems to come up with an error while attempting to install it. Such as code 28 or no driver found??? New PC System is an Elite MOBO GE6100PM-M2 - AMD 7750 X2 Dual Core Processor - 2GB DDR2 Mem - IDE CD-ROM - SATA HDD's. Any assistance that can be given would very much be appreciated as I have only 30 days to activate this Version of 7 over the Network.

Linux Samba Clients Fail When Client For NFS Is Installed
When I install the NFS Client on Windows7 (add remove pgms- Windows Features-Services For NFS Client), Windows networking no longer is able to access the Samba (WORKGROUP) shares from those machines. It seems to work with both types of shares from a Mac OSX leopard, but the workgroup shares from Linux and Irix machines fail. The NFS shares from those machines still work. You can see from the example below that net view lists the SMOKE2 samba share, and ping smoke2, and showmount -e smoke2 work. But net view smoke2 (Path not found) is the error when trying to access the Samba share. On the same Windows7 system, VirtualXP can access the same workgroup shares that fail on the Windows7 host ! This was not a problem until I installed NFS Client on Windows 7

Sentinel.v3.5 Client Assembly Missing For .Net Framework Client Profile
I'm trying to install an application using ClickOnce. It requires the .Net Framework Client Profile to be installed. Installation fails because the Sentinel.v3.5Client ist not registered in the GAC. And in fact this assembly does not exist in Windows7 by default. Furthermore, the .Net Framework Client Profile installer does not install this assembly in Windows7. Looks like a bug either in the .net client installer or in windows7 pretending to have installed all assemblies of the client framework. Could someone forward this problem to the right places?

ClearCase Remote Client - Error Creating Views
CCRC installs fine but I am unable to create a View: Error: "com.ibm.rational.clearcase.remote_core.copyarea.db.STPException: Error storing: "C:dev1.6e.copyarea.dat.new". Unable to rename "C:dev1.6e.copyarea.dat.new" to "C:dev1.6e.copyarea.dat": unknown error." Any info on what's changed with the file system or permissions from vista that might cause this. I'd like to keep Windows 7 but I'll probably have to roll back if I can't figure this one out.

Error With WDS Client Unattend.xml File - 0x80070002
I have had vista unattended deployment setup for some time now, and with Windows 7 deployment just around the corner, I'd like to deploy it using unattended files as well. To start with, I thought I could use the same WDSClientUnattend.xml for both Vista and Win7, because that file just makes a partition and sets the install language. I thought it was going good, as the WDS setup phase was automated fine, however after expanding files, it gives me an error on the updates part of the Install. It says a package was not found, with an error code (in the title). I thought 'ok, thats annoying, but using the new WAIK and making a fresh file with the Win7 Image will fix it' - It didnt. I still get the same error. After I ok the initial package error, I get another error 'Windows could not apply unattend settings during pass (null)'. I cant think of what settings it is trying to apply at this point - I haven't yet made a ImageUnattend file for Win7 so it can't be a fault within that file. Any ideas? Using Win7 Enterprise by the way - if you need any more info or clarification, please let me know.

XP Pro Client Reports Error 721 Conecting To Win7
What used to work: Router sends PPTP and IPSec to a Windows XP MCE XP Pro client connects using MS VPN through internet to this XP MCE which allows local area network access - all is well. Problem: This computer is to be replaced in the near future. Changes: The local network has a Windows 7 Ultimate computer. Setup incoming VPN conection with same user information and TCP/IP options as on XP MCE NOTE: I do not see the "Client for Microsoft Networks" as part of this connection's clients/service/protocols - is this the issue? Changed router to pass PPTP and IPSec to the Windows 7 Ultimate machine Failure: XP Pro client connects using MS VPN through internet to this Windows 7 Ultimate and reports error 721. Interesting Notes: If I turn off IPSec but leave PPTP pointing to the XP MCE I also fail to connect as expected. Pointing IPSec to the Windows 7 Ultimate and PPTP to the XP MCE I can complete the connection to the XP MCE! Since the incoming user information and TCP/IP settings are the same for the W7 U and the XP MCE it would seems that I am at least partially "reaching" the W7 U - but failing to make the final connection.

There Is No Email Program Associated - Error
I am running an evaluation copy of Windows 7 bld 7100 and am getting an error message when ever I try to sync my PDA or use Genie backup that reads as follows. "There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel." I did not have this problem until I installed Windows 7. I tried un/installing Thunderbird (my email program) with no change. Win7 Cannot Be Installed To This Disk Error
The MS W7 upgrade advisor says this machine (AMD dual Athlon 64bit, 5GB memory) can upgrade to W7. The machine has two HDD, 250GB (with dual boot of Vista 64 Home and XP 32 Home), and 500 GB previously accessed from these two OSes, but now with all files removed. When I start the W7 64bit install to the 500GB drive I get the message " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." I have an ASUS mobo with Phoenix BIOS. As the disk was previously working and the BIOS does not seem to have a controller option I'm note sure where to go next.

Sending Email Using MAPI Causes Error On 'ResolveName' Function
In Windows XP as well as in Vista, it was possible to compose and send out an email using MAPI with the default email application MS Outlook, Outlook Express or anyother. But in Windows7, it is not possible to send out mails using MAPI. The ResolveName function call prompts an error. I found that ResolveName function is deplicated. Is there anything else can fix this problem?

It says "Sorry for the inconvenience. You have stumbled upon an unexpected, temporary problem." This happens every other email. What are these codes and why is this happening?
