Movies Lost Dialogues Sound - Background Music Fine
Jun 6, 2012
All this happened suddenly, I was playing Counter strike and I could hear the back grounds but the dialogues and gunshots could not be heard. After that when I tried some movies, All the dialogues had been gone. I could hear the background music and background sounds but the midtones had been gone.
I tried many media players and different files but all had same results. The funny thing is The audio files are working all right only the video files have the problem. I tried restarting, Tried diff video files and diff players including VLC, Windows media player etc.
I keep having random ads, music, and noises playing in my background and it's unpredictable. I have ZeroAccess rootkit on my laptop. I have an HP and got my laptop a little over a year ago but I was never given a CD to help reformat my system. I was wondering if there's a way I don't need that or a bootable USB to reformat my system.
my aunt has new toshiba laptop win7 ran fine 2months then one day no folders in libraries - i don't know what she did, but i can't find and when i try right click default folders nothing happens - i have used search, etc cant find any of the four usually lib folders
Well, each movie *. Rmvb play in BSPlayer, WMP or Media Player Classic or other player it doesn't work, and movies *.Avi, *.Wmv, *.Mp4 or another format to work smoothly. We're writing what exactly it isn't working, the picture is, only the sound of creaking / hissing / buzzing and it didn't hear what they say in the film.I will add that player KMPlayer plays me every type of movie without crashing and dissonance, it is known, it has built its codecsI played in these video player in the movies in other formats and work, so there should be no problems with the player, perhaps the codecs, and something must change in ffdshow audio or somewhere else.I have the latest version of codecs K-Lite Codec Pack,
why is there no sound for playing dvd movies using windows music player??music concert dvds all play fine, as do CDs, internet sound. only movies have no sound.can't dolby and microsoft get to gether and allow dolby thx dvds to play using media player? downloaded this thing called AC3 filter and it didn''t make anydifference.haven't tried to play movies since I moved awhile back and now it is coming back to me that WMP is totally useless for any movies I have on dvd. I had to install my roxio creator program to watch dvds with sound
so i finally decided to install Windows 7 x86 - everything went well - put all the standard stuff on there etc - i rebooted many times because of installations and updates
on my last reboot it just got stock in the bios screen (verifying dmi pool data..success! etc)
so i rebooted, same thing, took the disc out, same thing - turned off boot devices same thing
tried to use window's useless repair tools (whatever happened to repair install?) which didn't help - so i decided to format and reinstall - then it says it was unable to do that (partition error or something)
the annoying this is...is that this EXACT..i mean EXACT same thing happened when i installed vista sp1 from scratch - this happened - and to fix it i had to leave my pc open overnight with the hard drive cables all unplugged..in the morning with my fingers crossed i tried the installation again - and it worked.
my d: always disappears (single hard disk sata 233gig (250)) - sometimes it'll vanish from my computer and stuff - but this can't be the problem because the d: is a single drive on its own - my c: is a25gig partition from my e: - so it's completely unrelated.
does it matter how i replug the sata cables (2 of them) into the mother board? - they're both being recognised anyway
this is really annoying though - mostly because there isn't really an explanation - and because this random stuff always happens to my pc! - is it my hard drive because that's the only thing that would half- make sense
A few days ago, after a restart of my PC, I didn't get any sound at all, and still don't get it. All my drivers are updated, realtek, motherboard drivers, graphic driver... I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling realtek driver and software. Windows media player is playing a song. In the "sound" menu (top left), the speakers (defined for realtek hd audio) are also working, the green bars go up and down.
In the device manager (down left) I have realtek driver, updated. and all nvidia drivers (as it always been, and also i checked another pc and has it too). Realtek manager works fine, recognize when I plug into the front or the rear jack (using the green one at the rear), everything seems ok. but (!) the "volume" menu (down right) doesn't have a green bar that goes up and down, and - I don't hear any sound at all... tried connecting speakers to iphone - the speakers are fine, works well.
So on Friday installed a new video card (7850) and this morning I had opened up the case as I have been experiencing some freezing with the new card (reason why I replaced the old card) however I have never had sound issues.I did the following prior to leaving today:Rebooted system a few times, had removed video card a few times, inserted monitor cable into the motherboard, booted that up, disabled the vga adapter, then rebooted and turned it on again (figured it might help with the freezing) I also pressed the reset button that is ON this motherboard (Asus P8z68-V Pro)So in any event long story short, When I came home today i didnt hear sound. I have tried just about everything, the Windows 7 seems to reflect sound is "fine" all the drivers are fine, I see the volume going up, I know the right speaker is "default" nothing is muted. I remove the speakers plug them into the other computer and they work fine. Also the head phones don't work in any slot either (i have several jacks on the computer for headphones)I am thinking during the reboot I have fried something on the MB preventing me from using the analog cables for sound. Should I try the HDMI on the video card to avoid having to replace the MB if this was the case? Windows 7 does not tell me anything is wrong with any hardware.I even updated the drivers for sound etc but remember this is a sudden issue, thats why I dont think its a "setting" problem.

A few days ago my Flash and HTML5 audio stopped working, but the video shows up fine. I tried all of the browser I could think of (Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE, I even made my own) and I got the same problem. Sound does work, though, in other programs like iTunes and Skype. When I tried Silverlight it worked fine.
My laptop is 5 months old ,it is hpdv6 3079tx. My laptop got i7 processor with win 7 64 bit. Currently I am facing a problem with my laptop. The sound is not coming out from the in built speakers as headphone is working very well. The sound from in built speakers last for just 2 to 3 mint and then goes off.

Problem: Sound card works fine in 32 bit, but is unrecognized in 64 bit. All other systems nominal. Solutions tried to date. (1) Sound card un and re-installed. (2) SB solution SID 82669 (force detection through LGPE, D/L and install new drivers) Failed.
I tried using the Sound Recorder tonight for the first time and I fell on my face doing that too.I recorded about 20 seconds of music as a test and saved it to'My Music' folder. That part was successful. However, when I went to the folder to play it I noticed it had a 'gold lock' icon on the title. I tried playing it but nothing but silence.
I've had the freezing problem for months and so far no solution. My laptop runs fine when I play games, or browse, as long as i don't watch videos or listen to music, it doesn't mind if online or from my drive. Tried different software but no luck. I would think it's hardware, but i don't have this problem on linux.I ran windows 8 for a few days, didn't see the freezing there, but I don't like the OS.I think the problem is with the audio drivers or something, I tried old and new ones, but no result.I am running Windows 7 ultimate 32bit (64 doesn't help either). My laptop is Acer Extensa 5635zg. I attach the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2 report+ the everest report inside the zip, where you can find the hardware information about my laptop.
XMplay is like Winamp only the mem usage is astoudning for the interface and sound quality. Un4seen Developments - 2MIDI / BASS / MID2XM / MO3 / XM-EXE / XMPlay If you need a low usage music player with some nice prefs/options this is for you.
suddenly i lost the sound from the pc , i dont know wht happen , all wht i can notice tht the sound driver is installed ok but there is no sound , i will put a pic to describe wht happen.
ive lost the sound to my headphones on my computer ive tryed using another pair of headphoes and they worked-ish i get no bass out of them...ive tryed uninstalling and reinstalling all my sound drivers that didnt help much...ive even reinstalled my OS and that did nothing?
Yesterday all of a sudden I lost all sound from my computer, I am running Windows 7 Home Edition. I have done all the checks and it seems to be working, but I still have no sound. I have a High Definition Audio Device and everything tells me it is working ok, also I have checked all the cables.
I recently purchased a new computer with operating system Windows 7. I had sound until I downloaded the drivers for Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. I am at a loss as to how to get my sound back and continue using the keyboard/mouse.
When listening to music on my PC, it does not matter if I use Winamp, Songbird, Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or any other software. Every so often, there appears some sort of distortion, like the drive that the music is on slows down. I dont know if it is the driver or what. Its hard to explain. You have to hear it. I dont think its the mp3 file itself, cause I could play a song and it will be perfect, but then the next time I play it, it will distort. It is really driving my nuts cause I can't find the reason for it.
I am using a third party music player, MusicBee, to play my music, however if I select a folder in windows explorer of an artist that has more than one album in sub folders under the artist name then the "PLAY ALL" button does nothing.
If I select a folder without sub folders inside the PLAY button works fine and open MusicBee to play the music.
I also have VLC installed and if I right click on any music folder I get the Play with VLC option, how can I add this same option for MusicBee.
