They are needed to set my new Sony TV for network setup.
I was just given a Epson Stylus Pro 7000 wide format printer and was wondering how would I set this up as a network printer. Epson stopped updating it's drivers and does not offer a driver for W7 and I've tried in vain to load VPN XP mode without success. I am using an older laptop to drive the printer but it's painfully slow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying (desperately) to set up my network on Windows 7, but have hit a bump in that it just cannot find my network. I checked Device Manager to see if the card was found - it was with a troubleshoot exclamation point on it.I removed the card, used the installation disc and am not able to get very far. After the install (after which nothing happens), I click on the Belkin Wireless Networking Utility icon on the desktop and it says "missing shortcut: searching for Belkinwcui.exe", after which I get a window saying "The item Belkinwcui.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed of moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly". That exe file isn't anywhere in my computer, searching through Explorer. In fact, in the Belkin install folder (Program Files (x86) -> Belkin ->FSD8001v1...) there just looks like maybe a driver (AegisE5.dll) and an application (AegisI5) that doesn't run. I guess is to take my PC upstairs and line it into my modem/base station directly, but I'd rather not move it.

View 3 Replies View Relatedinternet connections troubleshooter problems found problem with the device for the local area connection adapter and also a problem with the driver for the wireless network connection 2 adapter how do i fix these?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have spent at least 2 wks. trying to fix this. I've built dozens of computers (NewEgg)for my home, business and friends. And in 9 years I've only seen maybe 3 BSOD's. Networks have ALWAYS worked. Even w/ Windows 7 Beta, all was well. I just did a fresh install of Windows 7-7260 on my M1530 then did the same on my own computer.
Specs are in profile. Then I put 7250 on my downstairs friend's M1530. We are all on the same network group named CovellRussin. No variations. We live in the sticks so security is not a problem. DLink 825 router/DLink 1522 AP/DLink Switches.
Wife's Laptop is XP, a WHS, 3-Windows 7's, 1 Vista Premium on a M1330.
Like I said, up until I loaded 7260, the network was fine. I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of and MY computer will not see my wifes Xp(which has the QBooks and Tax programs on it). My M1530 sees her XP, My Computer and itself. My computer sees itself and the M1530. Is there a tutorial on setting up a mixed network for Win 7? If I don't fix this fast, I'm going to change my mind about loving 7. I am willing to go step by step with someone. I'll pay if I have to. I need my sanity and my computer back!
I realized, that the setup of the Network IF of windows 7 is slower than it was on XP. Sometimes the setup is also not working correctly resulting in an unavailable Network connection, so that I have to deactivate and reactivate the network adapter (even this does not help every time) Setup means the phase after rebooting or waking up from hibernate.
There is no difference on different networks. The Network Interface is a Intel 82567LM Gigabit. Driver are the newest from MS.
Are there any tricks to get a faster/ reliably network set up time?

Unable to get an HP Laserjet 1200 printer set up over my network. Running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I can see then printer when browsing network for printer but Windows insists on searching Windows Update, striking out and when browsing for other files I can't get any other HP *.inf files (both 32 & 64bit) I downloaded to take without crashing with errors. I connected the printer directly to my PC with a USB cable and Windows instantly recognized it and installed a driver for it. But still can't connect with it's hooked up on another workstation. Yes, it's set up for sharing on the other network PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI cant get online. Icon in taskbar says I dont have a network connection. Upon exploring, I find that Windows 7 Pro has me setup for a public networkwhich has a yellow exclamation mark on the left side between my PC and the network, and a red X on the right side between the network and the Internet.
DETAILS:Dell desktop PC. Was running Windows 7 Home, now running Windows 7 Pro (full install; not upgrade). I had a malware problem (images on webpages and links, etc. were not visible to me) with W7Home; cleaned it and went to W7Pro. However, now I have this whole new and far worse problem with W7Pro. (See problem above.) NOTE: I am the only person in my house and the only person using the computer. So I never had it set up for a network. I only own the desktop PC and dont need a network. The network that is now set up on my computer was set up by W7Pro by itself as part of the problem. My IP is not static so I cant input my IP manuallyits set to automatically detect. Called cable modem service provider; they made the assumption my operating system came with my PC and told me to call Dell for support. When I explained my OS didnt come with the PC, they then said You need to talk to Microsoft. Uh---no. The cable modem service provider said their server is talking to my PCmy PC is unable to get to them. (Makes sense, as that matches the pictures Im seeing with the exclamation mark and red X.)

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust today I decided to download the Windows 8 consumer preview and setup my PC to dual boot with it.I am running Windows 7 home premium 64bit and the 64 bit windows 8 on my other partition. After setting up a separate partition on my hard drive and loading windows8 to this partition, I was all up and running. I had no problems setting up or running windows 8, the problem came when I booted back to windows 7 for the first time. When I booted into windows 7, I was getting the "unable to identify network" error, and no network connectivity.
First thing I tried was simply disable/enabling my network adapter thinking it was just some hiccup. No luck there. Next I pulled the power from my router, and let it completely reboot. Still no luck. I then shut down my pc and booted back into windows 8 and sure enough I am able to get internet connectivity when I am running windows 8. This got me to thinking that when I loaded windows 8 there may be some new drivers installed for my network card that are somehow causing issues when I load into windows 7 again. Not sure how this is possible.
I was under the understanding that when I loaded Win8 to the separate partition that it would keep all it's drivers and settings there and not effect anything when I was loaded back on windows 7 (This logic could be completely wrong, I don't know). So I rebooted and loaded back into windows 7, went into device manager and uninstalled both network adapters and drivers, and rebooted into windows 7 again so it could re-discover and setup the network cards with default windows 7 drivers. This did not work either and I am still getting the same error.
