Dec 14, 2009The annoying notice that pops up to tell me i've plugged or unpluged a device into the audio jack is on the screen all the time, just flicking from plugged to unpluged.

Nov 25, 2009I like the Windows gadgets, but many of them are too darn small for me to use (like most of the CPU meters). Are there any programs that will let you magnify certain parts of the screen permanently?

Dec 20, 2011I'm pretty sure it's related to the bluetooth icon. It pops up on login saying something about the bluetooth radio can't be used by other devices (something like that although the bluetooth does work) and then it just stays there. Hovering over it shows nothing and right/left click on it does nothing.
I have clicked on "Customize" and selected "Hide icons and notifications" but nothing.
Don't Get Blue Screen Long Enough To Get All Information
Jul 29, 2011I'm getting random BSOD with igdkmd.sys mentioned.. I don't get the blue screen long enough to get all the information but I managed to get that.I have a Lenovo Thinkpad R61i, I used to have XP but I recently replaced it with Win 7. I've been getting these random crashes since the install. Actually it's only sometimes I get the blue screen.. More often it just goes blank and unresponsive and I have to power down manually.I did a check through the Intel website's driver checker and it says that the driver is up to date. Driver Max also says it is up to date (I think it is the "Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset" isn't it?) . Lenovo's site and software are useless and don't tell me anything.

"Safe To Remove Hardware" Balloon Does Not Show Up?
Feb 19, 2011Whenever I safely disconnect any of my USB devices from any USB ports, the balloon does not show up confirming that devices are now safe to disconnect. And when I go to "devices nd printers" i see the device listed there with a yellow exclamation mark (!) next to it. THis started happening couple of weeks ago and I havent been able to find a solution yet.

Nov 11, 2012I set a restore point 2 days ago manually. Today I have found it has been deleted and I may have to reformat because of this.I set my drive to hold 1.15gb in size for restore points. The current restore point is a mere 200mb yet it STILL decided to delete the old ones. Previously I've checked only to find 0 restore points despite the settings being adequate.It seems restore points simply don't work on my OS. They show up for a handful of hours and are automatically deleted (even the manually made ones).

The microphone has recently become stuck ON so that all room noises are picked up and played through the speakers, even when Skype is not running (it's not set to open at Startup and I always quit when I've finished using it). Lifecam was in Startup so I disabled that but still have the problem; I checked it hadn't re-inserted itself in Startup - it hasn't.The change may have occurred after I opened the LifeCam's own application to check lighting for the video image. I'm sure there's a simple solution (i.e. so the camera mic is turned off when the device is not in use) that does not involve uninstalling/re-installing - I want to be able to fix this if/when it happens again.

My mouse wouldn't even move on the screen, completely frozen.Manually shut down. That didn't freeze. Tried it again, froze in nearly the same spot, 37%.
