Have DNS Client Error 1012, All Browsers Are Crashing
Jan 28, 2012
My laptop is almost unusable because firefox, explorer and chrome are constantly crashing. I don't know a lot about computers but have been trying to figure out what is causing the crashes. I tried uninstalling my antivirus avg and it did not help. I also uninstalled chrome and firefox and then added them back with no change. I checked my event logs and found dns client 1012 errors but did not know if that has anything to do with the browsers crashing.
I get an error that says, "has stopped working" then it closes the window and reopens back to the same page. This happens at least once every five mins and with both chrome and IE. I've tried all the different things floating around the web on how to fix this and nothing works.
Its not a connectivity problem as uTorrent is constantly seeding in the back ground. I've disabled all add-ons as well as disabling all start up services.
i bought my laptop about a month ago, its an acer aspire 4739. my specs should be available for you guys to see (atleast, that's what i was told when i signed up).about a couple of weeks ago, i started noticing frequent browser crashes. my default browser is firefox, and it had worked perfectly on windows 7 on my previous laptop. on this one however, it started crashing quite frequently, most often when i had multiple tabs open. sometimes, even sites like google would take 2 minutes to load, and then crash abruptly.
i tried using chrome and ie, and they ended up crashing as well. however, i am currently using ie with add-ons disabled, and it has been working perfectly fine. also of note is that it tells me when i go to Internet using the disabled ie that "you need to upgrade your adobe flash player to watch this video. download it from adobe. (version 11.1.102.55)...but other than that, it works like how a browser should: crash free, no matter how many tabs are open.i tried numerous help suggestions, including uninstalling ff and reinstalling with an upgraded version, doing a clean boot, but both were to no avail. if it helps, the window that pops up says "firefox is not responding" and my choices are "close this program" or "check online" the common thing between all of the firefox crashes have been stackhash errors as faults. for example:
problem signature: problem event name: appcrash application name: firefox.exe application version: 8.0.1.4341 application timestamp: 4ec9a124
I am have problems using google chrome and all other internet broswers. When i try a search in the search engine the broswer crashes 5 seconds later. I have did a virus scan , malware etc and this hasnt helped. I have also created new profiles and did a SCAN NOW via cmd to try and correct the issues but this didnt work.
My wife just bought a new DELL Inspiron N4050 laptop with Windows 7 64 bit. Connecting via our home wifi we get intermittent errors -101 ERR_CONNECTION_RESET in Chrome and Firefox. It is not site specific and sometimes a site will work, then it wont.We have 3 other computers on the same connection and have tested the same sites at the same time the error is occurring and the sites are fine on other computers, I have not seen this error in the 12 months we've had this network set up until we got the new laptop.
I can't get rid of security certificate error. It happened because i accidentally set wrong date in BIOS (i wasn't using it about 3 month and CMOS batter was dead therefore it asked me to enter the date). After using it couple hours i saw that error and googled it. I found that the date is wrong and fixed it but nothing changed. I still get that error almost on any web page i enter (on all browsers:Firefox, Opera, IE9). click Continue to this website (not recommended) on IE or add exception on Firefox. And also can it be a firewall or antivirus issue? I've Nod32 ESS x64 installed.
I read the many articles with relation to the above error - didn't come with a win7 disk just the drivers disk. the rebuild command didn't work any other suggestions how to restart pc?
I am new with Win 7 and am not very experienced. When I tried to write to a forum administrator I get the message "cannot perform this operation because the email client is not properly installed". What can I do to fix this?
I purchased an HP Pavillion All-In-One with Window 7 pre-installed on my computer. I successfully downloaded windows live mail. However when I try to send e-mail through my Verizon with msn mail account, an error message appears stating "email client not properly installed". If anybody has any suggestions, directions or help it would be greatly appreciated.
I have some new Windows 7 machines on my domain. I have an older program that's installed and it needs to allow users to write and excute files on the c: drive (root). I know this is not a good thing but it's just they way they wrote it. How can I accomplish this? I've tried a number of things already like disabling UAC and LUA in the registry. That didn't work.
I have a Toshiba laptop, using Windows 7 (64bit) with IE9. I use Gmail and have installed their Notifier. When I attempt to use a webpage link to send an email or document, I get the error message, "default email client not properly installed".I have no clue what this means or how to fix it, so I attempted to research it online.I'd like to keep this a simple as possible. Can anyone walk me through the steps? I think I'd like to use Google & not Windows Live (have no idea why though), then I heard Post Box Express was simple, then I was told to press 'options' in my Notifier, but that went nowhere.
I've been having problems for a while installing this client profile.
Here's the log of the action.

Yesterday update installing fail with error 80070643. Tryed manually also install it but no luck, any suggestion how to debug it why it fails or solution for this?
On July 12th 2012, my computer installed updates. After rebooting and waiting for me on the login screen, I gave it a hard shutdown to check on the BIOS settings (for a little side project, in the end I did not save any changes). After booting and logging in again, I find that many services are not running. I ran a very thorough check for malware and viruses (took over 24 hours to complete), and still no solutions. I have uninstalled/reinstalled my Broadcom 802.11g Wireless Driver several times.
I now look in the Event Viewer and find that the DHCP Client service is not running! It is set to automatic start in Services.msc, but when I try to manually start it, it gives me error 1075 (some dependencies do not exist or are marked for deletion). Running ipconfig, I notice that my system is using an APIPA-formatted address (169.254.x.x), indicating that the computer couldn't find a DHCP server.
My Event Viewer is peppered with: Event 7003, Service Control Manager The DHCP Client service depends the following service: Afd. This service might not be installed. Event 7001, Service Control Manager The WinHTTP Web Proxy Auto-Discovery Service service depends on the DHCP CLient service which failed to start because of the following error: The dependcy service does not exist or has been marekd for deletion.
And that keeps repeating many times in a minute (about 30-40 cycles of it).
I keep getting an error unable to reach server when using Nortel VPN client. The strange thing is sometimes I can connect and other times I get the above error. I have tried rebooting, even reinstalling and the problem comes and goes.
I just swapped out my 560 ti for an identical model (on warranty). Now GTA-SA won't launch. I've tried a full delete/reinstall of GTA to no avail. I also updated the GPU's drivers. In HW Manager, I have 2 exclamations:
-Video Controller -USB Controller
The game worked fine with the last gpu (until that gpu developed a noisy fan).
So I have been having troubles with my games recently I have no idea why it is happening but every time I try starting up my games such as Star Wars titles because they are on sale on steam so I picked them up, for Star Wars Battlefront 2 I get to the main menu pick new game and then it says play training I select it and it goes black and takes me to my desktop and there is no error message displayed, and for Star Wars Empire at War it gets passed the game logo's lucas arts ect.. and then it goes black and again no error message
I purchased a used HP Laserjet 1012 from Nonprofit Technology Resources, a Philadelphia-based computer thrift store that trains people from less privileged backgrounds in computer diagnosis and repair. It did not come with a disk, but they assured me that drivers were available online. I tried and tried to get drivers but HP sends the download in a Zip file, which would have required a software purchase equal to the cost of the second hand printer.I have tried FileHippo, which wanted a credit card number, and WinRAR which wanted me to choose between a dozen different subscriptions and such. I returned to NTR, and they told me that they now had diskettes, one of which I got, but I am no further along. The CD certainly does not open up asking whether I want to run it, and the computer does not seem to recognize it as a set of drivers. I am wondering if I need to manually save it to a particular location and if so, what is that location?
Suddenly my laptop is crashing. Blue screen comes up with this error 0-0000007e. Tried a restore point but did not Work. I haven't installed anything new. Toshiba about 3 1/2 years old. Nothing special happened before.
My brand new computer I just built is crashing and restarting without a reason I can find. My System health report won't be very accurate because I need to run OCCT stress test in the background to slow down the amount of times it crashes.
I have run memtest for 12 hours - No errors. My CPU is cooled by a H100 - temps never go above 40c even under load. CPU - i5 - 2500k MOBO - Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 PSU - Antec 750w
Even on a fresh install it will crash during the setup phase, like where you put in product code and username. Leading me to think its a Hardware issue.
Alright so recently Burnout Paradise has been crashing to the desktop without displaying any kind of error message. I can load the game, select a vehicle, and get in game just fine but the game will crash after a random amount of time. My system specs shouldn't be a problem at all, but you can check them out. Here's what Windows says about the crash[CODE]
So about a week ago, I was just playing a flash game when my screen appeared to freeze, upon unfreezing Windows Aero stopped working(the transparency on the task bar disappeared). There was no error, it just stopped working. After looking around my computer it told me that Aero wasn't supported, which did not make sense considering it was just supported. So I did a system restore(it was made after a windows update) and it started working again. It worked fine for a few days and just today it did the exact same thing. Of course, I resolved this issue with a system restore as previously, but I would like to find out what the problem is exactly to fix it, since my current solution is just going to be an annoyance.
I bought my New PC under 2 months ago, and now it has this super annoying problem, that i don't know hot to fix.it has the same effect like the windows key, but it wont show the menu. it happens every 3 - 10 minutes, and it's a pain in the ass while playing. after 10 - 30 minutes after this happens, mouse and keyboard wont respond anymore.
I can't copy to C because of that error.Even though I am checking internet to find fixes, I wanted to get your advices about it.System is 7 Ultimate x64.What does this command mean:
Suddenly since this afternoon I have not been able to print from any browsers. I am able to print test pages to the printer and print from any other applications (word and excel).
am running win7 64bit, plus paid for versions of bitdefender and AVG pc tune up, none of my 3 browsers will open ( even in safe mode) all of my icons across the bottom of the page have gone, and ALL programs now end in .lnkave been to accessories, system restore , did not complete a restore point, have tried tools, internet options, advanced , reset and this did not help, also been to control panel ,back up and restorehave got into view downloads, have tried open and save but it just keeps duplicating the contents of the box and asks me again do i want to open or save.
Most of the time, whenever I open a browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome) it takes 5-10 seconds before it will connect to any websites. The tabs just show the 'connecting' symbol spinning. This happens even if I'm only trying to open a single tab. It's not because the computer is going slow or anything, because I can still access other programs or do other things within the browser like open new tabs, view options, etc. It's not a problem with my internet connection, because while the browser refuses to load a site I can use the command prompt to ping the same site and I get a response immediately. This has only started happening recently, like in the past two weeks.
I've been getting the BSOD for the past 4-5 days whenever I'm on the internet. At first I was on firefox, then I tried ie and google chrome, and I got the BSOD using all of them.
Neither FF, Opera or Chrome open on my Sony Vaio 64bit system. I know I have Internet access as Avast updates every day. When the relevant icons are pressed the Blue loading ring appears for a few seconds then disappears. When I try to access Task manager by ctr/alt/del the screen appears asking which service I require but when I select Task manager the Blue ring appears and again disappears and nothing happens. I regularly run anti virus scans and everything else seems to work okay. I've heard a rumour that the Bonjour service could be the problem. I I did uninstall it but maybe there is something left behind.
