View 1 Replies View Relatedjust bought myself a new HTC Magic today, its a brilliant phone, but i'm kinda having problems getting it connected to my laptop running Windows 7 RC.
with Bluetooth, it can detect my laptop, it can pair itself up initially. but after that, it just says 'paired but not connected' on the Magic while it shows as 'currently connected' and 'authenticated' in the Properties of my Magic in Windows 7.
cannot get it to connect at all.
also, the USB syncing doesnt seem to work either, there are problems installing e drivers in e first place, and neither the phone nor the laptop detects the other if im trying to sync via USB.
would appreciate any help if anyone has faced e same problems with HTC Magic or Dream as yet?
I have a magic mouse that I used to use with my laptop, I reinstalled windows (it was getting slow), and now when I try to pair my mouse I get an "Authentication Error".

Will that work on a Windows 7 PC? My computer doesn't have Bluetooth, but I am planning on getting a Bluetooth adapter for laptop as well. Will that work? Also, does the magic mouse come with a Bluetooth adapter, or do I have to buy an adapter separately?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI run Windows 7 on two of machines. One runs flawlessly. The other ran flawlessly for about a month or two, and then I started getting a rather odd problem. The OS fails to recognize my (mostly) left mouse clicks for random periods of time, say 5 seconds to like 60 seconds. It'll work, then it'll stop, then it'll work... etc. Obviously this is extremely frustrating. Thinking it's the mouse, I tried another mouse - same problem.
Both mice are USB, but it does not seem to be an issue with the USB ports as my keyboard and other USB peripherals work fine. Running the C2D Extreme Quad core from a couple of years ago, X38 chipset board, 4870x2. I formatted and reinstalled the first time this problem came up, and it started again within a few hours of the reinstall. All I've got installed besides my drivers are:
Firefox
AIM
ATI Catalyst Control Panel
I reformatted my computer recently and ever since my Dell BT Travel Mouse is not working. Bluetooth is turned on in the BIOS, and I used driver genius to get all of the drivers needed. It is connecting to the mouse and I can see it in the Devices. That being said I can't actually move the cursor with the mouse.

Mouse works perfect för 30-60 minutes but then starts to lag out and move very erratic. After a reboot the mouse is back in perfect shape. Its not a signal issue since its always perfect right after reboot and signal strenght is displayed as strong.
Once starting to lag it wont go back until reboot. Any ideas?
Have XFX 680i MB, P4-3.0 processor, 500 gig HD, 8 gig RAM, Gforce 8600 video card. Installed windows 7 and it is very awsome and have found it very easy to use. Only problem found is I have a Rocketfish keyboard and mouse Blustooth and seems to loose conectivity often, have to delete and search for the blooth items. Other than that Windows 7 seems to be a very good operating system and look forward to the release.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 and also looking for a new Bluetooth Keyboard/Mouse combo.
I have seen a few people having problems with Windows 7 (when searching in Google to find out about compatibility). Also seen some keyboard/mouse combo's on eBay that specify that only work with Windows XP and those upgrading to Vista were selling the old sets which gives me the impression there may be some compability issues.
Anyone have some experience to suggest suitable keyboard/mouse bluetooth sets? I was looking at the Logitech MX5500 combo or the Microsoft Optical Desktop Elite (Bluetooth) set.
I've had a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 for a short time, and had no problems initially in setting it up with my Acer Aspire 5740G notebook. Recently the mouse stopped working, however it is still showing up in the list of devices. Right-clicking on the mouse's icon does not show a remove or delete menu item, so I can't attempt to re-add the mouse as a new Bluetooth device.Other Bluetooth devices still work with the notebook, and the mouse still works with my PS3, so I don't think it's a hardware problem.How can I remove the device from the list of devices, so I can try to add it again? Or is there some other way I can try to get the mouse working again?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Microsoft 5000 bluetooth mouse which doesn't work ever since I updated my bluetooth drivers. My bluetooth keyboard and numpad work fine. I want to re-pair it with the computer but Windows will not display any device which is already installed when looking for devices and my mouse currently shows up in the devices and printers window. I want to remove the mouse from this window but it is the only device which doesn't have a "remove device" option when I click it. The keyboard and the numpad both have this option...
How can I remove this device so I can pair it again with the computer?
I have two Win7 laptops and a Logitec bluetooth mouse. When I pair it to Laptop 1, it works fine as long as I don't ever connect it to Laptop 2. (On rare occasions it will become unrecognized even if I don't pair it with the other laptop. While that behavior may be related to the problem I am posting about, I have not found a way to reproduce that issue on demand.) If I pair the mouse with Laptop 2 and then return to Laptop 1, Laptop 1 no longer sees the mouse and I have to go through the long exercise of pairing the mouse to Laptop 1 again. Once I have done so, if I retrun to Laptop 2, laptop 2 no longer sees the mouse and I have to re-pair it to Laptop 2. So, basically, whenever i switch laptops, I have to pair my mouse. This gets very frustrating as I have to switch between laptops all the time. It is my understanding that this is not expected behavior.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an HP MobileWorkstation Elitebook 8440w with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit OS and I'm unable to add this mouse as a Bluetooth Device.I was able to add the device to my old HP Elitebook 8530w with Windows Vista and it worked most of the time, but then it stopped working when the OS was updated to Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. I don't have administrative permission on the 8530w to remove the device to attempt adding it again to see if that helps. Also, I can't change the Bluetooth settings on that machine to rule out that as the problem due to the same lack of permission.Rather than go back to my administrator to change the settings on the old 8530w and waste time trying to see if the mouse connects with it, I'd rather get my mouse to connect to my current 8440w laptop for which I can change the Bluetooth settings.
I tried to get the sys admins at work to fix this mouse problem, but they couldn't do it with the limited time they had to spare, especially since I have the option of using a USB mouse they provided. The problem is that I spent $50 on this mouse and it worked before the Windows 7 install on the 8530w and never worked on the 8440w. I've tried everything suggested in other forum threads on this issue: Turned mouse on using the power switch on the bottom and getting a steady green light Held down the button on the bottom to make mouse discoverable with flashing red and green light Fresh batteries (removed and replaced fresh batteries and attempted connection again) Edited all device settings as recommended in Microsoft documentation:Bluetooth Settings > Options (the following are checked on)DiscoveryAllow Bluetooth devices to find this computer ConnectionsAllow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area Bluetooth Settings >HardwareHP Integrated Module with Bluetooth 2.1 Wireless Technology"This device is working properly" Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator"This device is working properly" Bluetooth Service PropertiesStartup Type: Automatic Service status: Started Log on as: Local System account Double-checked the device drivers to make sure they are up-to-date After all that, the "Add a device" tool just spins forever without discovering the mouse. Is my $50 mouse useless with Windows 7, or am I missing something?
i7 quad, 8g ram, Home Premium. Delivered Thursday this week. Updated all the way, AVG antivirus, Comodo Firewall (FW only!). every startup, every reboot, the blue tooth (Targus and MS) mouse is incredibly NOT smooth. 20% more and it would be unuseable. If i go to the View Bluetooth devices and remove the mouse then fresh search for it-find it-install it, now the Bluetooth mouse is as sweet and pleasant as can be. If I remove it before shutdown the find and add after boot, same thing.But just reboot and it's back to horrible. A wireless mouse (with dongle thingie) works fine, anytime. Phone and online chats with Dell have led to them pointing me to the Intel site for the driver packageBT_2.2_s64.exe. Downloaded, installed, exact same behavior.
Reboot and the mouse needs a kick- remove and rediscover and it's fine. Uninstall the Intel package, base MS/Win7 bluetooth enum, same thing.Found similar but more comprehensive driver and installer package for the Intel 2200 half card wireless on Lenovo website. (300+MB!) Installed it, at least it does Install the Intel ProSet package into running/starting services.. Same mouse behavior. Tried setting some things to 'Auto-Delayed start'...Search the internet and I see a lot of people have the similar problem, some even when the close the laptop lid and reopen- or half a dozen variations on this.Even more frustrating is I have a slightly aged Inspiron N5010 Laptop with W7 home prem that these same mice work flawlessly with it;s Dell 365 bluetooth module.
I just bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and it works fine when connected but it disconnects when my computer is idle. Once disconnected it is not recognized again when I start using my computer again. To get my computer to connect to it again I either have to restart or delete the drivers and reconnect the mouse. Is there a way to change the bluetooth settings so that it doesn't "sleep" after a period of time? I dont know if that is the problem but I cant think of anything else. I'm using the mouse on my desktop outlined in my system specs.

So my prob is that when I press Autorun it pops up that window with Instal, Play and so on clickers, and None of the buttons work. The window disappears after I press any of them.
Somehow I was about to install Heroes 1.
As far as specs I have a Lenovo Thinkpad. Windows 7 64 bit processor. 4 GB of Ram. Hopefully that's enough info for you to give me a clear answer. I really want to play this cool game again.
PS Does anyone know how to play any of the Heroes (1,2, & 3) online??? I would like to play against my brother who is out of state.
From looking at other computers and on the Internet, it appears that the Contacts folder is supposed to have a customized menu bar with a "New Contact" button, but on this machine the menu looks the same as every other folder. I don't use this folder/app very often, so I can't say exactly when this changed, but the desktop.ini file in this folder has a relatively recent modification date, and contains the following:
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%CommonProgramFiles%systemwab32res.dll,-10100
InfoTip=@%CommonProgramFiles%systemwab32res.dll,-10200
IconResource=%SystemRoot%system32imageres.dll,-181
I can still add new contacts by selecting "Contact" from the "New" submenu, but it'd be easier if I had the button in the menu bar. How can I get it back?
I can't enable wake on lan on my computer. First I tried with an on board LAN cart then I added external cart - Intel(R) PRO/1000 GT.In the device manager I checked "Allow this device to wake up the computer" and "Only allow a magic packed to wake up the computer" for the network adapter.In BIOS I enabled the PME Event Wake up property.On my machine I installed a Magic Packect sender/receiver to check whather the packets can reach the computer and I see that the packets are received when I send them from my phone.But when the computer is turned off I can't wake it this way. Also there's light from my LAN cart, so I assume that is has power from the mainboard when the computer is turned off. My mainboard is Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3 and the operating system is Windows 7 32bit.
