I have a Toshiba Satellite L305 Series laptop with 2 GB of RAM, Intel Celeron, and 182 GB hard drive space. I really want to get the Apple Magic Mouse. Will that work on a Windows 7 PC? My computer doesn't have Bluetooth, but I am planning on getting a Bluetooth adapter for laptop as well. Will that work? Also, does the magic mouse come with a Bluetooth adapter, or do I have to buy an adapter separately?

While the pc is shut down, the dongle remains lit with a "standby" power supply, If i remove the dongle and reconnect it, even if the pc is off, the problem repeats itself.same goes if i disconnect the pc from the wall outlet.Apparently the dongle has to remain "powered" for it to remember all the pairing and devices info.this is quite annoying, because i have to whip out my wired keyboard to re-pair every time this happens.

I can use the mouse on the msi bios. I then exited bios and installed the OS windows 7. During the install I was unable to use my logitech optical usb mouse however the keyboard was fine.Windows installed successfully but the mouse still wont work.

I was able to work on the laptop with a USB mouse and the onscreen keyboardAfter going through about 10 AV software I finally got rid of all the Trojans (the scans on various AV software ran clean multiple times after removal); but the keyboard and trackpad continue to be disabled.Under the Device Manager it lists as the device as a "code 10" error.Doing some Googling I found a post that said do delete the registry entries that were labeled "UpperFilters" and "LowerFilters"; which I did and I rebooted.Now my USB mouse OR my USB keyboard won't work.I tried using a Linux Live CD and the trackpad and keyboard DOES work there no problem. One of the issues was me not being able to install/uninstall microsoft antivirus, since it seems some files were deleted which it needed. I tracked that issue to yet another issue what windows installer could not start, which suggested me to check if it was enables in Msservice.exe, which I couldn't start either.After some googling, I found a fix on MS website, which moved some dll around and asked me to reboot PC. After doing so, it stopped recognizing my keyboard and mouse (both usb) at the login screen, they are completely dead even thou they work on boot and in bios (and are detected in bios).I tried to restoring to the point before the "fix", but same issue.

I'm running Windows 7 64bit and it started installing the drivers, first it was installing "HID Wireless Mouse", then it switched to "USB Input Device" but failed after 3 seconds. now it's listed in Device Manager as "USB Input Device" with yellow sign that indicates it doesn't work. I tested it in 2 other Windows 7 32bit computers and it works just fine! installing drivers and everything. moreover - I testes my bro's logitech wireless mouse on my 64bit Windows 7 computer and it works fine. I think Windows fails on recognizing it. I mean the drivers are there.. the Logitech Mouse works but mine doesn't.. how do I make it work?

I have a HP dv6000 with a 4 GB RAM and Intel Core2 Duo @ 1.50 GHz processor. I have Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit operating system.
Sometimes the laptop gets stuck and then none of the keys or the mouse works. Yesterday I was watching a movie and the same thing happened but the movie didn't stop.
Today morning the laptop wasn't booting and then later I took out the battery and reinserted it and it worked. Are these two problems somehow related?
I ran a complete system recovery and now start up freezes. Seems mouse etc work perfectly fine in safe mode.

So my prob is that when I press Autorun it pops up that window with Instal, Play and so on clickers, and None of the buttons work. The window disappears after I press any of them.
Somehow I was about to install Heroes 1.
As far as specs I have a Lenovo Thinkpad. Windows 7 64 bit processor. 4 GB of Ram. Hopefully that's enough info for you to give me a clear answer. I really want to play this cool game again.

View 4 Replies View Related1st- the Apple keyboard (model # MB110LL/A) isn't listed as compatible with Windows 7. But I like it very much & had an extra one & decided to make use if it on my Windows 7 PC. The only issue I have using it on my PC is that the powered USB hub on the keyboard only works with the mouse. If I plug in a flash card I get a Power has been exceeded error. I have plenty of other hubs to use but I'm just curious why this hub works perfect on my iMac but not on Windows 7 (64-bit). I've installed all Bootcamp drivers but it still errors. So, here's how Apple's version of Device Manager looks; refer to as Keyboard Hub.My guess is somehow Apple allocates additional power when needed to it's USB hubs whereas Windows does not (Windows has a max of 500mA). There are several references to Extra Operating Current (see photo) to perhaps support that. Anyways, the only question I have is there a way to fix this? Perhaps a motherboard setting (Gigabyte) or a different driver.

Recently however, the mouse would work at the login screen, but after I would login, it would stop working. Its drivers are up-to-date.
