View 1 RepliesI recently bought a new laptop (ASUS K70IC) that has no Bluetooth (BT). I also bought a Bluetooth mouse with it, Genius 905BT and an USB Bluetooth dongle, I thought that would work. But it doesn't. Other Bluetooth devices show up when I search for them, but the mouse doesn't. I tried that in XP SP3 too (desktop PC) but it doesnt show up there either. So my questions are:
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm on Windows7 64-bit... I've tried everything. Obviously there's no windows 7 drivers for this, so I tried to get the vista ones from the official website. The installer wouldn't even run, until I ran it through vista compatibility. They installed, but it didn't even react to when I plugged the camera in or not. So I tried finding other 64-bit drivers I could find on the net for the quickcam. They would install, and I would manually assign the drivers that match the camera, but then applications say that the 'webcam is in use' even though nothing was using it, obviously... so apparently, it does not work.
View 9 Replies View Relatedas described I use a Logitech G510 keyboard with multimedia keys and the posibility to insert a headset into it (the keyboard got its own soundcard). The keyboard also got a volume wheel which worked with Vista like it should: I could controle the speaker's volume by the keyboard.
Now with Win 7 I can't use the wheel anymore, even with the latest drivers.
My system:
OS Win 7 professional 32 bit
Intel core duo E4500 2,2 GHz; 2GB RAM
Sapphire HD5770 graphiccard

I cannot find any driver to make that working good.. HP Compaq 6730b Notebook PC*-* Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center - here is a driver for XP, but when I install, it said that I have to turn on Bluetooth... I don't know what to do.I don't know what's the type of the built-in Bluetooth, maybe broadcom, I tried this driver: Broadcom.com - Bluetooth Software Download

View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else found that the "Snap To" under Mouse/Pointer Options doesn't work? Or does anyone know how to get it to work? It worked fine in XP and I have tried in Windows 7 with old mouse and with a new one but it doesn't work. Not a major problem but I would like to get it to work.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed Windows 7 as a dual boot with my XPsp3. Now my Logitech Revolution VX mouse has lost all its special functions, and the Setpoint software in unable to work properly.
Any thoughts? The same thing happened when I set up Ubuntu as a dual boot - finally removed the linux.
The problem appeared in two different laptops (Lenovo and Fujitsu). The bluetooth hardware is not visible in device manager anymore, but unrecognized device appeared. Driver reinstall doesn't help. Driver installation setup says there is no bluetooth hardware. PC Suite is installed , worked fine before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just recently purchased a generic wireless mouse from eBay. more specifically, this one: 2.4GHz USB Receiver Wireless Optical Mouse F PC Laptop | eBay it doesn't work. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and it started installing the drivers, first it was installing "HID Wireless Mouse", then it switched to "USB Input Device" but failed after 3 seconds. now it's listed in Device Manager as "USB Input Device" with yellow sign that indicates it doesn't work. I tested it in 2 other Windows 7 32bit computers and it works just fine! installing drivers and everything. moreover - I testes my bro's logitech wireless mouse on my 64bit Windows 7 computer and it works fine. I think Windows fails on recognizing it. I mean the drivers are there.. the Logitech Mouse works but mine doesn't.. how do I make it work?

Background, I'm somewhat of a techie, not much. Been playing around with Windows 7 recently, 64 bit. Just need some help/advice.
I have an old Logitech MX510 mouse and I wanted to install the Logitech software so I could program the buttons. Turns out Logitech doesn't offer anything past XP. So I downloaded the XP versionof the software and ran it on my Windows 7 in compatibility mode for XP (SP2), as administrator. Everything installed, but the mouse software didn't work. Windows driver was overriding Logitech, probably because it was more recent.
So I tried uninstalling the logitech stuff seeing as it didn't work. Unfortunately I got an error saying I was missing a file i8042prt.sys and therefore the software could not be uninstalled. Hm, I looked up the file and supposedly it should be in Windows/System32/Drivers. I didn't have it, so I thought I'd be smart. I copied the file from my old Windows XP directories and pasted it into the correct location, ran the uninstall, and everything was removed easily. Cool, so after that was done I thought that well I shouldn't leave a random file around in my systems folder so I tried deleting it.
Turns out, I couldn't delete the file I had pasted (i8042prt.sys) because I no longer had permission. As administrator this was kinda weird so I looked at who had permission. Only System and TrustedInstaller (I'm guessing this came from the Logitech software installer) had full permission. As admin, I could only read and execute. Looked around at some of the other files I have in my Drivers folder and the permissions were all similar. Administrator didn't have permission for most of the files, but TrustedInstaller did.
So...anyone know if this is a problem or anything? Everything seems to be working fine...but it kinda irks me that even as admin I can't touch many files. On a side note, I'm curious to know if the i8042prt.sys file was there originally and got deleted or if it's only there because I put it there. I would appreciate if anyone running Windows 7 could check and lemme know.
Edit: Also this is still a pretty fresh install, so no system restore points before the incident.
how can I use my logitech wireless mouse without usb plug?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've not found much information while conducting a search here on LogiTech Drivers. From what I understand LogiTech isn't creating drivers for Windows 7 Beta, should I just use the Vista versions despite getting a Compatiability Message?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI own a Logitech MX5500 blue-tooth keyboard and mouse combo. It's great and I love it. I recently moved to Windows 7 and that's when things started going down hill.
I get lag when I move my cursor, my keystrokes do not comes through correctly, and when I press a shortcut key it seems to open that application a whole bunch of times.
I believe that it may be a driver issue with Windows 7, maybe the set-point software does not work correctly with Windows 7. (Considering the fact that Logitech did release a Windows 7 version and that I am currently using it).
What are your views on what the problem can be? Is my keyboard stuffed? Or is Windows Stuffed?
I am presently using a Logitech Trackball mouse. It has a cable and is connected to one of my computer's USB 2 ports. I started using it when my cordless Trackball suddenly "died". It just froze in the middle of my monitor and every attempt to revive it failed. Googling for a solution only led me to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing this tragedy. The Logitech forum is literally full of complains concerning the Trackball.

Does anyone here know if there is such a beast that will work so I can get on with solving the REST OF MY WINDOWS 7/STARTING OVER problems, of which there are numerous ones.ould be so very grateful if I could just get off of this lappie keyboard, which is extremely uncomfortable, not user friendly and I won't last much longer with it
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy microphone recently stopped working. Like it says in the title, it's one from the Rock Band 2 set. (USB microphone) It's worked perfectly fine for the past year until today. When I plugged it in, it won't install the device drivers for it, and it cannot recognize it. I always get the message "USB Device not Recognized". I've already tried plugging it into all the other USB ports, and restarted my computer. No luck. I can't seem to find if it needs drivers or something.

I reformatted my computer recently and ever since my Dell BT Travel Mouse is not working. Bluetooth is turned on in the BIOS, and I used driver genius to get all of the drivers needed. Mouse works perfect för 30-60 minutes but then starts to lag out and move very erratic. After a reboot the mouse is back in perfect shape. Its not a signal issue since its always perfect right after reboot and signal strenght is displayed as strong.
