Has anyone else found that the "Snap To" under Mouse/Pointer Options doesn't work? Or does anyone know how to get it to work? It worked fine in XP and I have tried in Windows 7 with old mouse and with a new one but it doesn't work. Not a major problem but I would like to get it to work.
I have found a pointer that I want to use in my Windows 7 environment, it is the airplane pointer used in Secret Weapons Over Normandy. Can anyone tell me how I go about this? It appears the cursor file in the game folder is a .bin file without a picture while windows cursor fies are .cur and have a picture in the file listing.
I recently bought a new laptop (ASUS K70IC) that has no Bluetooth (BT). I also bought a Bluetooth mouse with it, Genius 905BT and an USB Bluetooth dongle, I thought that would work. But it doesn't. Other Bluetooth devices show up when I search for them, but the mouse doesn't. I tried that in XP SP3 too (desktop PC) but it doesnt show up there either. So my questions are:
my mouse doesn't work on the toolbar...i can't get the curser to work up there,,so i can't type on the address bar or click on anything......it seems to work just fine on tghe bottom of my screen..i can click on the start menu , ect. no problem.
Each time I start my computer, the mouse shows up. But it doesn't do anything.I checked at Device Drivers and there I got this message after checking USB Mouse's properties:"The Drivers for this device are not installed. (code )."Then I clicked on Update driver but it didn't find any solution. The Laser light is showing up beneath the USB mouse each time I start my PC but the Cursor isn't responding at allI'm using Windows , bit version.
I just installed Windows 7 as a dual boot with my XPsp3. Now my Logitech Revolution VX mouse has lost all its special functions, and the Setpoint software in unable to work properly.
Any thoughts? The same thing happened when I set up Ubuntu as a dual boot - finally removed the linux.
I was surfing on the net with my laptop when suddenly the cursor didnt move. I tried to unplug the mouse's usb and plug to an other usb gate but it still didn't work. Then i tried to plug it in my desktop computer and it worked!!! Any idea what happened to my laptop?
I have applied settings in control panel to make my mouse snap to default in dialogue box. I have done this a number of times. It still doesn't work, except for usually in print routines where it snaps to the Print button.
I've just recently purchased a generic wireless mouse from eBay. more specifically, this one: 2.4GHz USB Receiver Wireless Optical Mouse F PC Laptop | eBay it doesn't work. I'm running Windows 7 64bit and it started installing the drivers, first it was installing "HID Wireless Mouse", then it switched to "USB Input Device" but failed after 3 seconds. now it's listed in Device Manager as "USB Input Device" with yellow sign that indicates it doesn't work. I tested it in 2 other Windows 7 32bit computers and it works just fine! installing drivers and everything. moreover - I testes my bro's logitech wireless mouse on my 64bit Windows 7 computer and it works fine. I think Windows fails on recognizing it. I mean the drivers are there.. the Logitech Mouse works but mine doesn't.. how do I make it work?
Can I have an explanation of how to operate the pointer w/o a mouse. I believe there is a way using the keys on the keyboard. This would be for a temporary fix.
My mouse keeps jumping to where ever the pointer happens to be. sometimes I will hit the space bar and I would lose the whole screen I cant use the word processor as a result.
Just curious why my mouse pointer sometimes spines in a circle when i click on a browser and then finally opens it about 10 seconds later. Sometimes I have to click it again before it will open. What causes this and how can I prevent it from happening?
Apart from the fact that my Mouse Pointer has suddenly become really REALLY big! I've tried changing the size setting via the Control Panel but it doesn't change the size at all!
I've been informed by a friend of mine that if I lift my mouse off the desk that it thinks the mouse is really far away and makes the adjustment however... it won't go back to normal size!!
Okay so i have just recently realized that my mouse has somewhat of a shadow behind it, Well i was on photoshop today trying to do something and i saw that my mouse will also barely paint the section of this "Shadow" Well i went into Personalization and turned shadow off and set the mouse to basic settings. This problem still occurs. I tried downloading Microsofts Intellipoint 32 bit software and i cant connect to it, Tells me failure to connect, Can anyone please help me?
First of all, I don't know what I am doing. While I am home for Christmas my elderly mother asked me to fix her computer because it is "broken." What broken apparently means is that the mouse pointer is gone. I have tried everything I can think to do to get the mouse pointer back: going into mouse properties and choosing the proper device (it seems to be stuck on other pointing device, not the touchpad). That is the only thing I could think to do. Plus, I am not great at navigating without a mouse pointer.
Hardware Installed New ram, is the only thing I have done, and the problem started last week, about a week after I put the ram in.
Software: The new windows 7 updates, other then that nothing
All of a sudden my mouse only Left clicks on things it wants to. I can select icons on the desktop, but I cant click the start menu or the "X" to close a window, nor drag windows. Sometimes it can be the other way.
This is very Irritating, I just restart and hope it works the next time.
I can confirm this issue, since I am using a laptop and both external and touchpad double tap, and clicker have the same issue.
While in IE my mouse pointer will disappear. I unchecked "hide while typing" and it still disappears. I'll be reading a web page and the pointer disappears, I then have to shake the mouse so I can see where it is. Is this a new "feature" in the latest version of IE. If so, how do I turn it off?
Don't know whether anyone else has had this problem but my mouse pointer disappears in Media Center.
It never used to, this problem only started over the last few days.
I have a Roccat Kone mouse and I know that Windows 7 doesn't like it. I've had to download a fresh driver for each of the many builds I've installed over the last 6 months i.e. it won't install a stored driver.
Anyway. I can't think why this should have suddenly started. I've not installed anything new.
It makes Media Center virtually impossible to use for watching TV, using the guide etc.
Just curious why my mouse pointer sometimes spines in a circle when i click on a browser and then finally opens it about 10 seconds later. Sometimes I have to click it again before it will open. What causes this and how can I prevent it from happening?
After changing my mouse pointer settings and turning off my laptop, they reset. I have Windows 7 Home Premium. I have tried multiple solutions to this, but nothing has worked.
Today i noticed that after my windows 7 logon screen i get a black screen with only my mouse pointer on it. i already tried restoring to a day before the problem but same thing happenswhat can i do to fix it? seems to me that the problem started after i installed hotspot-shield i guess it cameout with some driver installer but i dont know which onesi waited on the black screen and it seems to start windows after 10 mins which is way longer than usual and thats my problem its anoying. what else can i do? i already did the restoring point process. and start up restore, and memory disk checkup.
In some games, my mouse pointer remains visible during the game. For example, right now I'm playing Luxor 4, and while you use the mouse to move, I also see the mouse pointer as well, and it's very distracting. It moves right along with my shooter. It obviously doesn't belong on the screen during gameplay. I've seen this in all the Luxor games I've played, and I can't believe this is normal. I'm using a Logitech Anywhere MX mouse. Is there a setting in Windows that would affect this?
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit. HP m9500f computer. Ever since installing Windows 7 my mouse cursor gets slow when surfing the net at times. That is, to get the cursor across the screen I sometimes have to sweep the mouse two or three times in that direction because the cursor hesitates. If I close all browser windows and open up, e.g., Word, the problem persists. It usually clears up soon after.
Setup: Win 7 Home premium 64 bit? I periodically get some kind of crud that seems to attach to the mouse pointer. It looks something like the kind of `v' you might make to quickly draw as a representation of a flying bird. But there 7 or 8, maybe more, stacked vertically. I'm not sure what makes it go away but it does after a while. (usually)It appears to have something to do with the right bottom corner area of my screen where I have the clock just to the left of icons of the system tray. And finally a sort of patch or rectangular square that will make the desktop appear.I just found today that if I rub the mouse around in that area, the crud gets many more vertical stacks of `vee', until finally its a little block about the size of a postage stamp, just a little shorter and square, and looks something like a speckled sheet or one with many bits of herringbone pattern. The block has only happened after passing the mouse there many times. Usually it's just a single column of the these stacked `vees'
While I'm typing text into any program (email, Word, etc), the cursor will auto-move to wherever the mouse pointer would be (sort of like the setting is on that does auto-select/click when it sits on something). I then end up typing into a completely different part of the message/document and it's SO frustrating. There's no rhyme or reason to when it occurs, at least not that I can figure out.
It's nothing to do with my mouse/drivers - it happens with both my trackpad and my USB mouse.
Recently my computer has not been loading windows 7 up intill the login screen. I get to see the little circle color things swirl around with the "Loading Windows" text, but were the login screen usually appears, I get a totally black screen with a movable mouse pointer. It is a brand new rig with 4g RAM (2g sticks) and I am running the 64 bit version but wounder if this is causing the problem.
Also when I try to do a system restore using the windows disc, I must first go into the settings (by pressing DEL on start up), then set my bay drive to boot first rather then my SATA to get the "Press any button to boot from disc... " prompt. Otherwise windows will ignore the disc. However when I load the disc and try to go into restore points, there are none to choose from.... I have no clue what to do and am willing to just install windows complelty again ext.
I just barely reinstalled my Windows 7 computer, and have transferred my files back to my computer from an external hard drive. I decided to sort and delete unused files, when eventually my mouse movement started to move very erratic. Moving to the left seems to cover less ground, while moving to the right seems to work normally. Up and down has the same effects as left movement, which is why moving to the right isn't always smooth or perfect. I am using a wired Razer Deathadder mouse (left handed), and have the correct drivers installed. I have restarted the computer but I still have the same symptoms.
