Game was working fine 2 days ago when I last played. Now it starts up as normal but when I load the level where I left off it freezes at 82%. Error message says AppCrash etc...
I tried starting at previous levels but they don't work either. I haven't running any scans or anything so I can't think why it went from working fine to not working?
I am unable to play crysis warhead with my 3.30 ghz processor n 2gb ram n 500 gb hard disk with nvidia geforce 210 which is of 1gb.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy little brother purchased Windows 7 and did an upgrade install without doing a fresh install. He lost all of his old game installs and now isn't able to play any of them. We found the folders in windows.old, but none of the games are working. We are trying to get Crysis to work and looked in the registry for the serial key and we couldn't find it. Why couldn't windows have found a better way of doing the upgrade install?

Okay now the problem is when i play Crysis even on MEDIUM i get laggy/choppy gameplay and i checked the fps (this was a long time ago) i don't remember what they were but just that they were skipping around. I don't know that much about gaming but i figured more ram might help, plus i wanted more ram regardless because my downloads are only like 400kb/s.
I already ordered enough ram so that my total will be 6GB. Yes i know that i will have to take the other stick out bla bla bla i already calculated that. I'm not 100% sure how good quality it is but this is what i bought: 2GB PC4200 533MHz DDR2 SINGLE STICK 2GB PC-2 4200 RAM - eBay (item 130315129371 end time Jul-26-09 01:02:12 PDT)
Anyways getting to the point, tomorrow i will have enough to buy another one of those to have a total of 7GB ram is it worth it? will a 1GB increase even help that much? (and yes I'm running 64 bit)

View 5 Replies View Relatedi am running windows 7 64bit Ultimate, i am currently having the same problem i use my computer for Flight Simualtor online gaming and last night my FSX game froze which i was not to concerned about but when i started to have repeated freezes in game i decided to shutdown and restart computer. i then had the problem you were having i would get to the windows startup with the "4 Colours" and my computer would not load any further, i then went to bed due to frustration and woke up next morning to find that my computer worked perfectly.this worked for about 4hrs when i recieved exact problem again and have spent the last 3 hrs trying to get my computer to work!!!Finally i am back online but it did it itself with normal startup.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOn my new laptop and after around 20 seconds in game minecraft freezes. I have put the graphics on both highest and lowest with no changes. Theres also 2 ways that my minecraft is crashing.
1st: Minecraft just stops and i have to open task manager to close it.
2nd: Minecraft freezes and then i get a black screen. Then it goes back to the main screen, minecraft closes, and then in the bottom right a message pops up saying. "AMD video has stopped responding and has recovered successfully. I tried finding drivers but couldent in the end what now!

I am running Windows 7 and frequently get a screen freeze while playing Battlefield Vietnam II or Battlefield II only. This happens quite often and I see no patterns except for these 2 games. I have updated my video drivers. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1)
It started yesterday: in an online game, after a couple of games I suddenly got some short freezes (half a sec, never longer) in which the sound goes like a machine gun, if you understand me. This was the first instance and since then it occasionally happens in that game. Nothing weird with that, just lag. That's what I thought. But today I started an offline-only game that has always worked perfectly (in fact, it's an old game, so very low system specs), and I got the same issue!
So, it seems I have a freeze issue suddenly, only appearing in games (haven't experienced freezes anywhere else). Note that it isn't exactly a freeze. Say I move my mouse and the freeze issue happens (still moving my mouse, but the arrow doesn't move), after the freeze my mouse arrow teleports to the spot it would've been in if the game hadn't frozen for that instant. In an actual freeze it wouldn't record where I'd move my mouse, would it?

While I was writing this, I noticed the PC showed a problem. I let it do its thing, and it reports a video hardware error. I DO NOT know if this is related to the problem, but regardless, I've attached the 3 files (in a zip) Windows showed me, in case it's relevant.
whenever I try to install a game or program (happens more often for games), the setup process freezes at random intervals. Not the kind of freeze where it crashes or gets the 'not responding' error message, but I can't click anything or advance to the next part of the setup until it goes away. It's really strange, and only started happening two weeks ago. I'm running Ultimate 32-bit.

Since then, I've played Shogun 2: TW (with DirectX 11 enabled), NFS: Hot Pursuit, Rage, Crysis, CoD: MW2 and Mass Effect all without problems. In the first couple of days, I also ran 3DMark06 and was able to go through the whole test without any problems.Recently, I tried running 3DMark11 and for some reason, it wouldn't start. I'd see the little blue circle next to the mouse spinning a little bit and then it'd disappear and nothing would happen. A quick look in the Task Manager shows me that it's not running at all. I then tried PCMark Vantage and the same thing happened. Then I went back and tried 3DMark06 and the same thing is happening with that too now. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the programs as well as uninstalling my GFX card drivers as well as doing a Driver Sweep and then re-installing the drivers but still the same thing. My games still worked fine though.But now I've just installed Crysis 2 and it appears to be having the same problem. All my other games are working fine though. What could be causing this? I have DirectX11 installed as well as the latest Catalyst drivers installed. [code]

Tried everything but, it seems that it wants to use the HD to process and not the pagefile, and that, I can't even find in the files. Everything else runs normal. Checked using Performance program. I know Directx10 is a pain but, my diagnosis using DXDiag says that it uses DX11 & I have a large pagefile?Hid the fxc files for the program so as it could not use them but, again, it still suffers the same fate?

After I updated my Windows 7, I clicked the Crysis 2 icon and the message popped up: ""crysis 2 (TM) has stopped working." I believe it's something has to do with the update preventing me to play C2.

When I install a game in Windows 7 and Windows recognizes it it dumps the game's shortcut in the Game folder of the Start Menu. That wouldn't be a problem except Windows 7 prevents the game from creating the shortcuts it would have created had the operating system not been Windows 7- things like the game's Read Me, Uninstaller & Configuration options.

also i remember the week before those crashes that twice the screen driver crashed for a second or 2 and then a message popped up about how a monitor driver crash was adjusted, always when i played a certain game that is still in beta so i taught it was the game.
My audio was working well, but i decided to start recording find a way to improve my outbound audio quality (i'm an audiophile). I purchased a Fast Track Pro. Unlike other threads I've read, I'm not seeing any BSOD and its not crackling. My operating system will just stop functioning, or freeze for a half a second at a time. This can become frequent at about 10 times in a thirty second period requiring a restart. I had installed the latest x64 driver for my W7 x64 system from M-audio's website.
I uninstalled the driver and restarted, the issue persisted. I then installed the on-board audio driver and restarted, no system lag is present. The audio device-driver is acting up and I'm not sure why. Because i bought it used M-audio's support is a no-go. Are there any additional steps I can take which may troubleshoot this issue?
I remember playing this game very very long ago. In the game, I was playing a ninja, and looking at the ninja from bird's eye view. There was many chapters in game, and if I remember right, at each end of the chapter, I had to kill a boss, more powerful monster. There was an old man with a beard, and he was giving me lessons, truths about some ninja stuff, life, etc... After finishing the game once, a better mode would be unlocked. We were a more powerful ninja, and able to kill monsters more easily. And it didn't have magnificent graphics, it was like a cartoon.
