I am running Windows 7 and frequently get a screen freeze while playing Battlefield Vietnam II or Battlefield II only. This happens quite often and I see no patterns except for these 2 games. I have updated my video drivers. I have an NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1)
Computer games make my Pc crash. This happens about 10-15 minutes after I start any game.However, most games only crash when the window fits the whole screen and some games crash whenever it fits the whole screen AND whenever the game is resizableFor example, whenever I play Runescape in fullscreen, it crashes in about 10 minutes after I start the game. This doesn't happen whenever I have it in a resizable window. View 2 Replies View RelatedThe computer has worked great for years with 2x1 GB of OCZ PC 500 memory. I added 2 more sticks for 4x1 GB of OCZ PC 500 memory, all are matched sticks. The computer crashes to the desktop while gaming. Memory passes MemTest86, several passes with Hardware/Software memory hole enabled. One other thing, at this time I am using Windows XP 32 and what started this upgrade to 4 GB is I'm getting ready to install Windows 7 Home 64.

This does not happen immediately in games, it appears to be random.I reset all my BIOS settings just in case it was my overclock, but i had another this afternoon afterwards.

I just built a new computer and whenever I play the game CoD:mw3 my computer randomly crashes, sometimes it'll show pale blue on my screen sometimes it'll be yellow and there really is no specific timing for it either. I've already upgraded my drivers.

View 7 Replies View RelatedIt started yesterday: in an online game, after a couple of games I suddenly got some short freezes (half a sec, never longer) in which the sound goes like a machine gun, if you understand me. This was the first instance and since then it occasionally happens in that game. Nothing weird with that, just lag. That's what I thought. But today I started an offline-only game that has always worked perfectly (in fact, it's an old game, so very low system specs), and I got the same issue!
So, it seems I have a freeze issue suddenly, only appearing in games (haven't experienced freezes anywhere else). Note that it isn't exactly a freeze. Say I move my mouse and the freeze issue happens (still moving my mouse, but the arrow doesn't move), after the freeze my mouse arrow teleports to the spot it would've been in if the game hadn't frozen for that instant. In an actual freeze it wouldn't record where I'd move my mouse, would it?

While I was writing this, I noticed the PC showed a problem. I let it do its thing, and it reports a video hardware error. I DO NOT know if this is related to the problem, but regardless, I've attached the 3 files (in a zip) Windows showed me, in case it's relevant.
When I finished joined a server the game crashes. Sometimes it let me play for 10 minutes and then it crashes. I dont know what to do??
I tryed:
Start with admin Rights , with Mode "Windows XP Service Pack 3" . turn my firewall off. delete all temp files

I just recently built the computer listed in the specs part of my profile, and have only ran into one issue. When I record my gameplay on Battlefield 3 with Fraps, after I finish the recording and click to exit the game I get a blue screen, this is the absolute only time I get a blue screen and it happens every time. I checked the event viewer but there was so errors leading up to the crash and no information except one that stated the computer recovered from the crash. The only constant I find is that it only crashes when I am using fraps and when I am only a voice chat service, in my case skype or ventrilo. I am currently running the Memtest86 on that computer now so I can't retrieve any of the BSOD information, provided that there is any, but so far I have no errors showing on the memtest.

I recently built a pc and I had windows vista running on it and everything was fine. Bought a 128gb Samsung 830 SSD and windows 7 Home Premium 64bit this week and did a fresh install. I had many BSOD's during the windows installation, mostly IRQL, but finally got it installed and running. Now when I try and play Battlefield 3, I am able to play for a few minutes before my pc BSOD's. It seems to mostly be IRQL errors, but I've also got pfn_list_corrupt, memory management, and bad pool header BSOD's.
I have tried a lot of things to see what the issue may be. I got the latest video card drivers for my card, GTX560, since that seemed to me like the probable cause, but I am still getting BSOD's. I ran memtest for 6+ hours and received no errors and did a check disk on my boot drive with no errors as well.

It occurs mostly while playing video games, but has sometimes happened randomly while internet browsing. I created a thread on these forums 2 weeks ago for a BSOD problem. everytime I play Battlefield 3 I get in max. 30 minutes a BSOD. And it ONLY happens with this game, everything else works perfectly fine without crashes or whatsoever.This has been going on since half December, which is about a week after I updated my drivers. It first happened once or twice, where I though that it was just coincidence, but now it happens every time I try to play Battlefield 3.Since it happened a bit after updating the drivers, I thought it was that. Today most of the drivers needed to be updated again, including the infamous Realtek sound drivers that are supposed to give problems with Battlefield 3, so I updated them hoping it would solve the problem. No dice, I still get a BSOD when playing Battlefield 3.Dump files are in the attachment. I didn't include the perfmon HTML file since it refuses to generate a report, even when the Performance Logs & Alert service is set on manual.

There are some BSOD-s lately. Happened almost excluselively under BF3, but if i remember correctly, once it happened under Starcraft 2 aswell.The problem is , that it skips fast before i can see the numbers under the BSOD.

View 1 Replies View Relatedplaying battlefield 3 i've experienced both bsod and the program to stop running. when the bsod occurs the screen blacks out then the video comes back but the image is made out of a bunch of lines like the video split up and moved around. then the bluescreen comes up. (not sure how else to explain how it looks). theres also a deep beap sound that plays sometimes as well.
i've also experienced an issue with other games, most recently europa universalis 3 where the game stops running as well. sometimes the game runs fine without crash and i've played for 3 - 4 hours on two different occasions but the play after only lasts a few minutes. my drivers are all up to date so i don't think they are the issue.just now i ran a program through the action center that i guess looked for solutions to problems and every problem that showed up is a "video hardware error"

i read somewhere that audio drivers could cause issues. i have high definition audio as well as the realtek audio driver.i don't know if i should upload those files that the problem report reported so don't know. i've also been formatting videos for Internet and running my cpu at 85% so i don't think its the cpu overheating like i've heard can happen.
This error started occurring out of no where. This is the first time that my has been able to catch it. Normally the game just freezes and all three of my screens go black. Sometimes it stays there and I can here skype in the background. Other times it will completely freeze up. This only happends when I play on all three screens. If I play on 1 screen, it works nice.
